ZombieNation:
And Nigeria or kaduna is not Saudi Arabia where preaching is a criminal offense

The constitution guarantees us freedom to preach and no one can do otherwise

Did your profiteering prophet seek licence before he began his criminal cult Islam?
For some wildly silly reason u assume I am a muslim. Your comment is bereft of critical thinking rather all u are interested in is your selfish motives. Christianity is not the only religion and nobody is stopping u from being a christian. Unfortunately for your likes who love to illogically assume superiority, the constitution does NOT give u any right to disturb the peace.

If all religion decide to start preaching, nigeria will become a market place. So think before commenting.

It is central to the Christian faith to evangelise just as it is for you bokos to behead
Evangelise in your church. You must not disturb the public to make a point. Nigeria is not a christian state, its a secular state. All religion should practice their faith withing the limits of their institution. Period!

Did you omit the part where it is being proposed to have a licence before preaching?

You need to read the post again
Yes, u need license before preaching and disturbing people in public, not when you preaching in church/mosque.

So whats wrong with thathuh

I hope so....but the thing is, regulating religious preaching in Nigeria always ends up creating more problems instead of solving them.
There is no where in the world where u are awaken at 4am in d morning by a preacher with microphone on full blast. The way we take religion in this part of the world is ridiculous. Even the people that thot us what religion is do not practise it to this extent.

adipemcanis1:
The law has a lot of good intentions....but it is fraught with problems

1.What exactly constitutes preaching? What qualifies one to be a preacher?

2.What is ''derogatory language towards another religion'' (The term is so loosely defined. For example...If a preacher of religion X says that religion X is the only true religion....that could be considered abusing other religions ....since the comment can be taken to implying religion Y and Z are false.
You dont have to be too academic in your thinking. I believe the Interpretation Section of the Law will take care of all that.

How will he stop muslims from blaring their call to prayer?

If you believe this is aimed at muslims then you are deluded.

The rising number of churches in and around kaduna city is disturbing to these bokos.

They also will use the vague interpretation of "offensive" or "hate speech" to clampdown on the remaining Shiites who have been circulating books and tapes on his govt's involvement in the massacre on behest of the Saudis

El Rufai death has has entrenched himself in your household and surely you will pay for all your wickedness and evil

This is just long epistle of trash!

The fall in naira-dollar exchange is not rocket science. Its simple: high demand + low supply = high prices. We are a mono-economy. Our only dollar earner (oil) has fallen flat leading to shortage of the commodity. Till we start increasing our exports or reducing our imports, the price of dollar will keep skyrocketing!

OP sorry your analysis makes no sense. And all your recommendations have already been implemented by govt!

No matter how many SANs u have by your side, clients would run away from a lawyer like Tarfa because they wouldn't want to have the stigma of people feeling they bribed to get favorable judgement. There are other clients that would also no longer hire him because they wud feel no judge wud give him a favorable judgement to avoid their own image being tarnished.
Tarfa must now be feeling the grave negative effects of his indiscretions. His career is actually in turmoil now.

Railways

The federal government under Jonathan steadily revived and continuously improved railways in the country from the comatose state that Buhari and other military dictators left it.

So what do we have from Fashola- APCshit poster boy for good governance in the state of excellence :icon_ques
In 2011, just as Jonathan was being sworn in for his first term after winning elections he contested as the presidential candidate, Fashola was in Toronto to buy aloku scrap metal decommissioned trains that are yet to be seen in Lagos, five years after and $1 billion bank loan disappeared. The same metro that Buhari cancelled in 1984 as military dictator despite stiff penalties for breach of contract.

Lagos: How We Spent N160bn World Bank Loan on Light Rail Project
11 Sep 2014

https://cdn.akamai.thisdaylive.com/0bef99d6-acf5-4e2c-9779-8fa02ba3fcd4/assets/Babatunde-Fashola-1009.jpg?maxwidth=400&maxheight=540

The Lagos State Government yesterday justified the N160 billion it borrowed from the World Bank, noting that the fund was channelled to finance its light rail (blue line) project.

However, the state government expressed disappointment at the progress of the project, which it said, was not executed as smoothly as possible, but was optimistic of its completion.

The state Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, said this shortly after inspecting the light rail terminus at the Orile-Iganmu part of the state alongside some members of the state executive council.

Speaking with journalists, Fashola said the project would have been completed in another 12 months despite that the project execution was not as smooth and speedy as he wanted it.

The governor raised questions on the intention of the federal government for publishing the state debt profile in the recent time, wondering what could have informed the decision to make it public.

He said: "I think it was the Debt Management Office of the federal government that published the report that we have a debt of about N160billion. I do not know the intent of the publication.

"But if it was to inform the public, I think we have always kept the public informed anytime we borrow money. If there are other intentions behind that, only those who make the publication would know what the intentions are.

I think u are trying so desperately to provide defence (no matter how ridiculous) for persons who themselves are more inclined to bargaining and returning their loot. Every right thinking Nigerian knows how public officials in the last administration looted without care. Infact, the President encouraged them to steal more and reminded us that stealing isnt corruption. The rot and impunity of Jonathan and his men was disgusting!

plaetton:
My friend, if you insist that TSA was implemented to enforce the Constitution, then surely, this government is not only hypocritical, but has it's priorities upside down.

If they had any regards to the Constitution, then EFCC would not be breaking into people's homes and offices without search warrants.
They would be obeying court orders regarding the release of suspects held for days without charges and after being granted bail.

If they had respect for the Constitution, they would not be blackmailing and intimidating judges and defence lawyers.

If they respect for the Constitution, they would NOT suddenly and unilaterally sack and appoint VCs, bypassing the council that has the statutory responsibility for appointing and sacking Vice Chancellors.

So, pls , spare us the Constitution enforcement BS.
First of all, dont mix up issues. What has efcc got to do with this topichuh Save your bias for whoever cares!
Secondly, TSA was introduced by this govt. It was introduced under Jonathan. So your long story is pointless!
Politics › Re: Fayose To FG: Keep Your TSA, We Are Not Interested. by blackpanda: 11:27am On Feb 20, 2016
LoJ:
There is no need for anger, shouting and self righteousness. It does not make a point more or less valid.

Obeying the constitution is good, but should be done in a way that is not harmful to the people. After all a constitution is meant for the well being of the people, not just for the sake of writing a document.

It is very simple and in our daily lives we all apply such principles. If a law says a building should be destroyed (for any valid reason), law enforcement will make sure that before the building is destroyed, there be no one inside who could be harmed by the operation.

So shouting obedience to the constitution makes no point at all. No one is against obeying the constitution. We simply remind the leaders that it should (have been) be done in a way that preserves the interest of the nation.

You seem not to understand how the Banking sector operates. It is not a sin, we are all learners in one domain or another. However to fall for the communists rationale that seeks to oppose the interest of the general public to those of private banks or companies, is probably not the best economic approach. History is there for all. Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat its mistakes.

Cheers.
History of whathuh How many small businesses did the banks fund when they had all that idle wealth sitting in their vaultshuh And at what rateshuh There is no basis for your argument, at all

Dont be offended, but commercial banks do not deserve any "free money". They make more than enough from their ridiculously exorbitant interest rates. Even when CBN reduces rates, they never comply. We have better things to do with our scarce resources than lodging it idly in commercial bank vaults!

Politics › Re: Fayose To FG: Keep Your TSA, We Are Not Interested. by blackpanda: 11:07am On Feb 20, 2016
plaetton:
Again, I partially agree with you.
I am by no means holding brief for Nigerian banks.

But, the fact remains that N2tr does more for our economy when spread throughout the banking sector than it does sitting idly in a TSA with the CBN.
But its not sitting idly in CBN account. Last I recalled banks dont build schools or construct roads or provide accessible water or fight boko haram. On the contrary commercial banks rather keep the money idly in their fat bank vaults only lending to "selected customers" at exorbitant rates.
Commercial banks are established solely to make profit, CBN is established to finance public projects and infrastructure.
