Politics › Re: Military Fires GOC Attacked By Convicted Soldiers by BlackTechnology: 9:02am On Sep 17, 2014
Fadelex: If these guys are executed there will be massive resignation in Nigeria Army. I stand to be corrected, the operation in Maiduguri is a suicide mission. The GOC cut down the 30k monthly allowance to 15k and the military authorities turned blind eyes. The GOC withdrawn air support while ground force is in place in d middle of operation and this led to death of over 100soldiers yet there wasn't any investigation. These guys use their personal money to buy uniforms, boots, camp beds, camp tents, dagger, torch light and so on. The only thing given to them is the outdated AK rifles with counted groundnuts. We all see how much govt is releasing every year yet there's nothing to show for it. For those blaming the guys, have u ever seen your colleagues killed like a chicken in an avoidable circumstances before? If no, then you have no right to judge them. I was there and know what I'm saying. The guys definitely didn't want to kill the GOC if not, his 21 gun salute would have been done by may 31st.
Friend do not worry they won't be killed

I want to believe that the reasons I stated on why they shouldn't be executed have being viewed by many including the military

That is why the military made public the retirement of the General something they do not do.

You can go through my topic and comments to verify what I am saying.

Thanks for also helping the Presidency confirm the danger ahead.

tokunboh: Suddenly, there is enough news for Fulan Nasrullah to drop his propaganda of a situation report.

Boko Haram will be decimated, so shall their supporters.
This night attack is to prevent the military from exploiting their air power

If the military can soundly defeat BH this night and the next one, they might postpone their attack on Maiduguri for weeks or months.

The lessor doesn't have to know the day to day operational details of the lessee since part of his ownership rights has been transferred to the lessee . . .

GodMode: this your opinion is long....

it depends on the type of tv, so banks will still accept it depending on the value of the tv but it is wiser to use... but in cases of economic meltdown where the value of houses reduce... banks will not accept it that's what led to the fall of banks worldwide which also led to a global economic meltdown in 2008/2009.

back to the topic:
all the govt needs is to generate income from different means...
Thanks for verifying my view that banks will only accept buildings that is sure to appreciate in value as collateral

But concerning your view on the need to increase other income source, yes it is good but the best financial principle is

For every low or no income generating infrastructures, there should be assets whose incomes can maintain it and clear any loan attached to it if was built on loans

GodMode: The law of basic accounting/economics cannot be erased by a motivational speaker.

Anything can lose value.
I understand asset in terms of basic accounting/economics

But note

Some definitions were defined years ago with little subjection to real life economic challenges

That is why we update our definitions with time when we see their incompleteness.

Is like you saying your TV is an asset

If banks do accept assets as collateral

Will any bank accept your TV as a collateral.? No

The only reason banks will accept your house as an asset that can be used as collateral is because it is assumed that the land beneath it will always appreciate in value with time.

Now to the topic

Akwa Ibom spent xbillion naira to build a stadium
The questions the governor should have asked himself are

, How much will the stadium generate.?
Will the profit be sufficient to maintain it.?
Will it have a much desired socio-financial impact on at least 50% of indigenes.?

If the answer is no,

what he would have done if he still wants to build the stadium for beautification of Uyo is to acquire assets whose cash flows are sufficient to maintain the stadium

Why

Because the stadium will need maintenance and the next set of governments might not be stadium conscious.

Or

He focuses on other projects that will lift the ordinary indigenes out of poverty since it is well known that a large number Akwa Ibom people are house helps etc

What are those projects

Education but he failed in ensuring that teachers salaries are paid constant

Microcredit facilities but the commissioner did not mentioned it

Others which he never mentioned.

chinziaski: Brother, pls don't stay that. A house is an asset when it helps the owner to generate funds e.g a landlord!
You are saying the same thing with me

If it puts money into your pocket it is an asset.
Eg Rents gotten from tenants which is used to maintain the house

If it takes money out of your pocket it is a liability
Eg When only you live in it and use your money to maintain it.

GodMode: Pls don't teach people nonsense.

A house is an asset.
If it puts money into your pocket it is an asset
But if it takes money out of your pocket it is a liability

The only other time when a liability house becomes an asset house is when it is sold.

His words: “When you are talking about allocation of N135.84 billion, it sounds big to you, but it is not a lot of money when you are doing key projects. When you look at projects like the new international stadium, these are not bread and butter projects. These are quality projects that cost money.

“You don’t build flyovers with N1 or N2. You don’t build underground tunnels with N2; you don’t dualize federal roads with N2; you build them with billions, so you put these monies into big projects. So, the states you are mentioning, are they able to do these types of projects?”

Every good state government desire to transform their states into a mini America.
This causing them to build beautiful infrastructure as fulfilment of their dream

But one challenge we face is in balancing infrastructural development and financial empowerment of indigenes with limited resources.

SOLUTION TO THIS DILEMMA

1) Invest in profitable ventures and infrastructures first then

2) Use the profits and low taxes to obtain and clear loans for infrastructures that generate little or no income. Eg Schools Hospitals Stadiums Roads Bridges etc.

" Prepare your fields(assets) first after that build your house(liability) "
PROVERBS 24: 27

Asset, which is what puts money into your pocket should come first before liability which is what takes away money from your pocket

In other words

An asset house should be built first before a liability house.

For every liability built, they should be assets whose incomes can sustain it

The Stadium, which profitable ventures are sustaining its maintenance and loan if it was built with borrowed money

Likewise other infrastructures

Akwa Ibom govt you failed in this aspect.

ba7man: Counter intelligence is needed.

They travel in trucks and vans, this has to be in a convoy. We need to arm our Soldiers with RPGs.......if u take out a truck, imagine the number of boko troops inside. Take out the lead vehicles and the ones in the rear. Our soldiers open fire on the ones in the middle.

Hit 5 trucks and imagine the number of insurgents killed or incapacitated. Ambushes is the best way to hit them before they get to town.

We need to hit them while in motion before they take position and counter info is required to achieve that.

Or just have their sponsors secretly assasinated regardless of tribe or party affilliation.
.
We need our airborne sniper division behind BH line of supplies, command centres and line of attacks.

We should start fighting like guerrilla soldiers now that BH have taken fixed positions.

From the map I have here, Konduga was attacked from the direction of Bama.

I wonder what is happening to our airborne division.

We ought to parachute specially trained snipers several kilometers behind BH line to interrupt their line of supplies, command centres and attacks

These forces dressed in BH islamic wears should travel only at night and avoid roads.
