JUST ANOTHER COMMON SENSE LECTURE. NOT FOR EVERYONE!!

Give N50,000 to a secondary school dropout and watch him buy a stove, a frying pan, cooking oil and other things to start Indomie business.

In just three years, the young man will have a wife, a plot of land worth N1million, a Tokunbo car, a TV, sofa, bed, etc in his one-bedroom house.

Give N1m to most university graduates and watch how 70% of them will buys Apple Iphones, Samsung Galaxy phones and several pairs of skinny jeans, take their numerous girlfriends out, take selfies and post them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

In less than two years, they will be buying Indomie on credit from the secondary school dropout and paying rent or staying in their parents' house.

The question is:
DOES EDUCATION BREED WASTE, ARROGANCE, GULLIBILITY AND STUPIDITY?

Education does not necessarily breed any of the above, but it makes you look down on possibilities as "not befitting my status".

Unemployment is actually higher amongst the educated than amongst the uneducated.

The uneducated are more innovative and ready to do what the educated will refer to as "dirty, menial jobs".

And before you know it, the uneducated guy will be needing an Accountant to manage his finance books and will now employ the educated guy!

That is the reality of our society!

today announced and did a symbolic flag-off of the distribution of Food Palliatives to cushion the effects of Subsidy removal on vulnerable residents of Lagos State, at the Sports Ground, Lagos House Ikeja.

The procurement of all these food items were sourced locally in Lagos State and the food distribution is aimed at reaching 500,000 benefitting households, over 2,500 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises involved in bag manufacturing, food aggregation, packaging, and logistics, while over 25,000 employees of the MSMEs will be indirectly impacted.

A phased distribution will be done with a Monitoring Committee which includes members of religious groups, Trade Unions, People with Disability, Civil Society/Non-Governmental organizations, Youth Groups, Community Development Councils and representatives of the Lagos State House of Assembly will be constituted.

The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill has introduces courses for the Yoruba language of West Africa in three levels OF 3 credits each.
Yoruba 401 - Elementary Level
Yoruba 402 - Beginners' Level (Elementary II)
Yoruba 403 - Intermediate Level
At the end of the third program 403, students are expected to be equipped with the basic elements of Yoruba language and culture. Significant oral and aural activities in the Yoruba language and will continue increasing their level of active vocabulary.
This adds to the growing list of American Universities that now offer Yoruba language both as credit unit courses and as degree programs, about 30 of them as at last counting, including; Harvard, Yale, Michigan, Cornell, Stanford, Howard, Indiana and more- Making Yoruba one of the most well studied African languages in America. The Nigeria Police Force wishes to address recent concerns and malicious reports surrounding the detention of Mr. Chike Ibezim. Contrary to speculations, we affirm that Mr. Chike is in lawful custody based on a court order, and his detention is in connection with a prima facie case of malicious publication, cyberbullying, and other related offences that are still under investigation by the Police. The arrest and detention of individuals are carried out in strict adherence to legal procedures and respect for individual rights. In this case, a court order was obtained following a thorough investigation, which established an indictment on Mr Chike, who has given useful information and is assisting the Police in the course of their investigation.

The NPF takes allegations of malicious publication and cyberbullying seriously due to their potential to cause harm, distress, and damage to the reputation of individuals, institutions, as well as posing great threats to national security and stability of our dear country. I congratulate Nigeria for the adoption of a Nigerian language, Yoruba, as a testing language for the Department of Motor Vehicles in the United States.

Similarly, since 2014, Selfridges and Harrods have been employing Yoruba-speaking staff, and the UK Metropolitan Police Service has been hiring Yoruba-speaking Constables and Officers since 2015.

Elsewhere, I have written about traversing the American continent and studying the staying power of Yoruba language and culture in the Americas. Enslaved people were taken from all over Africa, but ONLY the Yoruba language, culture, and traditional religion have collectively withstood the acculturation by European culture to become one of the most dominant cultures in the Americas and Caribbeans.

Yoruba Ifa-based Babalawo are very popular with Whites and Latinos in the Americas, and Santeria and Candomblé are two of the fastest growing religions in North and South America. They are both based on traditional Yoruba Ifa religion, mixed with Catholicism, with saints known as Orisa.

Even in modern times, music of Yoruba origin is rebranding Nigeria's image away from 419 and romance scams. For this, we thank those who set the table and laid the foundation, especially Fela Kuti, King Sunny Ade, and Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey.

Unsurprisingly, all of Nigeria's Grammy Award winners have been of Yoruba descent, except Burna Boy, including:

Sade Adu (1986), Babatunde Olatunji (1991), Sikiru Adepoju (1991) and Seal (1996), Burna Boy (2021), Wizkid (2021), Temilade Openiyi AKA Tems (2023).

Once again, I say a big congratulations to Nigeria.

Let me give an advice to all Federal Ministers:

1: Power is transient .

2: after office, another govt will AUDIT your activities.

3: You will be alone in answering that question.

4: Your loyal Permanent Secretary, dedicated 120% SA, PA will abandon you plus cheer o yes men.

5: Forget those who put your pic on their WhatsApp DP. They are your emergency lovers like Gabon local emergency lovers in Nigeria.

6: forget Public Accounts Committee of NASS.

7: na those small small boys and girls in Jabi and Independence lay out that will make you sweat.

8: Govt is not run via WhatsApp. No matter your good intentions. They will ask you to read Procurement Act. Intention is not in Govt rules.

9: make sure you have your approval in place by following due process. You must keep a personal copy of the approval. because files can miss when they wanted to punish you.

10: Those who experienced it will share how excruciating it is. Those small boys can call you 10pm to show by 7am tomorrow morning and kept you till 12pm before interrogation will start.

11: Ask my Gov without a state. Bible and Quran will be your best friends. Make sure you treat your husband / wife well. na them will stay with you. Forget those people, you are the best. Their phones will be switched off.

12: your main bank account would be blocked. Ask Bankers on X platform how they “laughed” when they told you about PND

In Igbo it is called ugiri and the seed is what is used to make ogbono soup you enjoy.

You can eat the back just like apple the the seed is dried and blended for ogbono soup.
