I can't stop laughing 😂😂😂😂

10 years from now I wonder what some of you Igbos will be telling the world.

Peter Obi was prepared by travelling to Malaysia Egypt etc ?! Now tell us is Peter Obi beta or travelled than Bola Tinubu ?!

The same Peter Obi Nigerians begged for 9 months to release his manifesto when he claim he does not need manifesto to rule untill labour party conjure one to save face on bis behalf. Have you ever hear Peter Ovi refer to his manifesto while Tinubu as been undertaking thing he stated in his manifesto ?! Though I must highlight none as been positive so far.

.
THeUNIFIER:

SMH, try to get some sense. The difference between that and this is that PO didn’t use “public funds” for those movements. If anything, it shows how prepared he was for the task ahead. Your drug lord, however, wasn’t. He came up with a manifesto he has long abandoned and resorted to trials and errors, showing his unpreparedness. Yet, you celebrate him at every turn. May shame catch you a little as well as the 30 other Yorubas that liked ya post.

Politics / Re: Reno Omokri Replies An Igbo Fan And Corrects Misinformation by blancsn1: 8:42am On Mar 03
Of course reading to reply is not part of learning. I would have replied without understanding and pointing out your flawed biased argument.

A Why did you never mention a word about Igbos voting the Pandora criminal Peter Obi though he was a failure in your long empty n utterly useless response.

I want to believe we both agreed on that then. Prove of his failure abound on NL where Anambrans lamented about his gross failure.

B. Why do you Igbos have a problem when you are being included in argument ? Why must Igbo be removed from argument or not be used to buttress valid point.

You went on about education and start listing Luxembourg USA are there no universities in Igbo land you can cite as example of your excellent education prowess ? Is it not exceedingly foolish in the context of your own argument that you are comparing education in 3rd world country to Europe n USA. I mean with all due respect, how else can one explain he or she is not wise without mincing word with such comparison ?

Your exact words below, now explain to us with statistics data figures n all you criticize Reno about on how Lagos increasing it internally generated revenue under the period in consideration did not do beta than any state most especially Peter Obi Anambra state in particular knowing that even in 2024 it is yet to increase it IGR reasonably.
dettolgel:

3. Using the bare figure of Lagos state increasing its revenue could also be misleading on it own. One could argue that during his period under consideration per capital how did each state fair?

The crux of the matter is you have no single valid argument n only out to criticize when you lack valid argument to buttress your claim.

Save NL your long meaningless epistle to save face n learn to be precise when you argue. No de stress me reading long meaningless epistle abeg.

dettolgel:
The problem with you guys is that you read to reply not to understand.

My point is never to prove that Uche is right or that Reno is right (the reason allude to Uche's quality of education is the fact that one could make such a bold statement in a public forum without concrete evidence rather than based on speculation). I understand clearly what Reno is trying to say but using the data the way he did was wrong.

Let me summarise my points to you. The argument Reno put forward were flawed based on the data he used. I believe he is in a position to understand that and use a better approach.

Go reread my post and pay attention closely you will see that I purposely used probable statements while making inference from those data. Which means the data he is using could be interpreted in many ways and can't be passed as hard fact for the point he was trying to make.

As an educated person Reno should used air tight data to make such an argument. Reno has a wider audience and he should always use such opportunities as a teaching moment.

There are other people that understand proper interpretation of data and the nuances inherited in it. It is a shame that our youths would rather swallow anything anyone says rather than question the accuracy of the assertions (probably has some cultural undertone to it - listen to your elders and don't question them).

Again if Reno was to submit an article to an academic journal he will never use those data the way he used.

I never in my post single out any tribe or resorted to tribal bashing like you are doing in response to my post. It tells me the kind of person you are and that to you a structured argument is not something you know how to handle. But I will not stoop to you level not today grin

Now to your points:
1. Of course your assertion could be right or wrong but the data Reno provided can't prove that. Unless there was a study that was conducted to assertain the reason why voters voted the way they did otherswise we will just be wasting our time. Speculation is speculation not facts as Reno is claiming.

Again you agreed with my position without even knowing. I guess you didn't read my post to understand, you were quick to jump on your fun activities - Igbo bashing on NL. grin

2. I never said it will lead to reduction of education or not. Every state is unique and in as much as we have a fundamental problem across Nigeria in terms of access and quality of education. These problems varies to a certain degree across states. If state A thinks that access to education is priority to them then building more schools may be the way to go. If within the same time frame state B thinks their own priority is improving the quality of the existing schools. The building of more schools isn't the right solution but improving the existing ones.

Now my point: it will be wrong to for instance to look at state A and say the quality of education in state B surpasses yours during this time frame, hence, you have failed in this regards. A could argue that at that point their priority was access (that does not mean that both can't go hand in hand) and that they met their objectives. These are possible explanations which shows the flaw of Reno data.

NL, Luxembourg, Belgium has far less university that you will find in Nigeria but all their universities rank above ours. On the other hand US has more universities than we do and theirs rank way better than ours. The best bet would be for Reno to say at this time point state A and state B has the state priority in this area but this is what A achieved and back it up with data that proves that.

3. I never mention anywhere that Lagos should reduce its income. Granted Lagos did do a marvelous job by increasing its total revenue base. But as a reviewer I would still send it back to the author and ask them to please include the per capital increase, the change in unit cost for such revenue drive etc.. What this does is that it provides additional information and a balance view of indeed that the revenue drive was indeed successful in all ramifications.

I believe we learn everyday I hope that even if you don't find it useful someone else may read it and at least start learning to think how best to query data when presented to them.

But then the choice is yours you can keep on with your tribal rants when it gets to where it matters you will learn by force how to process information. Maybe you already knew you are just trying to do what most people do here "ethnic bashing' no wahala. Na nairaland be this we know as he dey go grin

Politics / Re: Reno Omokri Replies An Igbo Fan And Corrects Misinformation by blancsn1: 2:29am On Mar 03
But as human with functional brain all that you argued to counter Reno here can also be argued n countered to prove Peter Obi was in no way beta than Keakwaso

1. Given the gross failure of Peter Obi as governor for 8 years with only endemic looting to show that could be valid reason for Nigerians from other regions not to vote him n you Igbos only voted him base on bigotry n ethnicity.

2. Indeed according to your Igbo head building two universities in Kano will lead to reduction in the level of education in whatever criteria n indices you care to use. It takes an Igbo brain to reason so pathetically.

3. Lagos should again have reduced it income for your Igbo brain to count that as success just like Anambra was stagnant in IGR under Peter Obi.

This is the crux of what this Igbo dull boy argued in his long comment. Anyone not sensible enough to decipher the argument will think he said something sensible.

Imagine with bold face this Igbo boy arguing building two universities in a third world country is a diservice to the state ? As in the case of Kwakwaso building university in Kano.

He then argued increasing revenue could also be disservice to the state as well. As in the case of Lagos increasing it IGR hundred folds under Bola Tinubu n subsequent governors after him

This are the dead brains that claim to be social commentators young n Innocent Nigerian refer to as obirodient. Nigeria need help from people like this bigoted retards who manipulate n contradict every induces of success n growth just because failure like Peter Obi can not meet up when those indices are put down to be compared with the like of Kwakwaso Bola Tinubu etc.

It takes being Igbo to reason that pathetically no more no less.

dettolgel:
Reno is not different from the poorly educated Uche he was trying to correct.

Just a quick one these are some of the flaws from Reno's argument in no particular order:

1. That the number of SEners that voted for Obi in the SE is more than the number of SWners that voted for Tinubu in Lagos does not prove anything.

Infact given the performance of APC in the previous 8 years it could be that because of what the SEners perceived as failure from the APC they decided to vote Obi. Whereas it could also be that the Yorubas that voted APC irrespective of their bad record during Buhari tenure did so because Tinubu is from SW.

Reno claimed to have a PhD he should know that you can only speculate with such data and no serious reviewer will pay attention to such nonsense.

Unless there is a study conducted amongst these voters to really ascertain the factors responsible for their voting pattern every other thing is just speculation.

2. Building two universities does not mean that the education system has improved. I would rather Reno use data from both education enrolment and improvement during these period. That would pass for a better gauge of the effect of their policies if their aims why to improve education. If it why to improve access then building universities might suffice depending which level of education we are talking about.

Why would you build additional university if your policy is to improve the quality of the existing schools? You will need to build a university or more schools if access is part of the problem. The question Reno would have tackled was what were the respective priority of these different states at that point and if the governors met the expectations.

3. Using the bare figure of Lagos state increasing its revenue could also be misleading on it own. One could argue that during his period under consideration per capital how did each state fair?

I find people like Reno either being clownish or deliberately manipulating the interpretation of data to suits their agenda.

If Reno has ever published anything worth reading in academic journal he should know that the nonsense he posted as response will never be accepted and will be rejected outrightly.
