Imagine if Yahaya Bello never stole the common wealth of the people of Kogi State; he wouldn't have had any reason to evade arrest and be running. He would have just made himself available because he knows his hands are clean.

Imagine if Tinubu, whom he paid a visit to recently, was not a notorious narcotics drug trafficker, a criminal who also stole the common wealth of Lagosians. Yahaya Bello wouldn't have had any reason to be evading arrest and running away, hoping and believing that Tinubu would tell the EFCC to back off and let him be for now.

The naira recorded N81.34 depreciation against the US dollar in a single day at the foreign exchange market.


FMDQ data showed that the naira tumbled to N1,154.08 per dollar on Thursday from N1,072.74 on Wednesday.

This represents a 7.04 per cent loss against the dollar compared to N1,072.74 per dollar traded the previous day.


Similarly, at the parallel market the naira depreciated N1,100 per dollar on Thursday from N1, 040 on Wednesday.

Accordingly, this is the second time the naira is depreciating against the dollar in three days amid fears of depleting foreign exchange reserves.

Meanwhile, the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Olayemi Cardoso, in a statement on Wednesday said the country received $600 million inflow into its foreign reserves recently.


Earlier, Nigeria’s FX reserves dropped to $32.29 billion as of April 15.

However, Cardoso said as long as there is liquidity in the country’s FX market, Naira’s gain can be sustained.

Why are other ports not gaining momentum or receiving supports like the ones in the west, no matter how many ports are built in a certain region, It won't solve the problem if congestion until the entire geopolitical regions of the country are equally given attention. Am sure the socalled coastal highway was a deliberate plan to ease traffic from the congested Lagos ports instead of of developing other regional ports

This is the most rubbish and nonsensical reply I have ever read on Nairaland. How can a brand new Orient refinery cost 4billion naira when rehabilitation of an existing refinery is costing 1.5 billion dollars

The long awaited Dangote Refinery products to be rolled out are; Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), called Petrol, AGO (Diesel), and Aviation fuel.
