I remember that day so clearly. I felt it all the way in Ikoyi. We kept on praying for our parents to return safely as there was no GSM and they went towards Ajao estate to visit some people. |
dadaic:Definitely Sahara Group. Feeling like a different type of company but just empty. |
Let us see his next step. Baby brother indeed. |
@nysot. Good one. Let's see what new moniker he will come up with. |
N5 million is per SMS. Imagine they send 10 of such SMS to 10 people each. The fine is 10 * 10 * 5 million = 500million. |
The annoying one is that "marching ground" that they ask companies to pay. Its so annoying. All companies must pay to the youth group or they disrupt your business. All companies have MOPOl by force. The cost of doing business in the Niger Delta is outrageous. I remember when a road was being constructed in Gokanna LGA, the youth came every day to collect money, not small money o. At a point, another group started coming. The company refused to pay them and they kidnapped their staff. How can you develop with this attitude? |
whitetiger511:. Or PTA. Have applied to nearly all the banks on that list. |
It's about the government in power. They have a goal and their goal is to get the Chibok girls free regardless of who is in power. They are also free to comment on whatever social issues they believe in. |
It's a bad case of dandruff. |
cedaraustine:From what i gather: How do the discos know the exact homes that bridge this? They go round and monitor the connections. They also have smart meters that show when the system has been bypassed. Can they see power usage per price paid without visiting? Only with the smart meters. They can see general consumption from the meter reading of the transformers or feeders. That is track the exact erring customers? When they check the connections, they can see if a person has bypassed. Sometimes, the people on the street give them information. That's how they track erring customers. Back to square one? Exactly. But they are working with law enforcement officials to arrest such people and charge them to court. They also charge fines and penalties. It's not really great but it's what they are working with. They would rather partner with the CDAs so that it's a little easier. |
I love America. Regardless of what you were, said or done, you can become president if you work hard at it. |
It's an African Civet. |
Queen1:Use Sebamed soap and cream. It works like a charm. Would look for a before and after picture of my baby using it. In just 2 days there was a visible difference. Also help by reducing what would make her sweat. But that Sebamed is expensive sha. |
Ask your bank for a charge back or reversal. Put the pressure on your bank. It's what I did. |
It should be joint money but the guy is feeling stressed. It's not easy and it has a way of skewing one's mentality. My suggestion is for you to get back to work. What if you get pregnant again before resuming, will you stay another 2 years out of work? There are women that resume once the baby is 2/3 months. |
angel55:It only looks different to you. Everyone else won't see it. |
UnlimitedIfex:They have to make enough profit to be able to buy foodstuff and other things that have been affected by dollars. Remember that they also live in the same state as you and we all have to go to the same market with the same price of fuel and diesel. |
Newish car and the airbags did not deploy. Ok o. Hyundai. |
blank:Read the thread to get the hang of it. https://www.nairaland.com/3214341/brother-make-me-cry-dead |
nysot:Don't let me remember the days of ignorance. The day my eyes opened, i went back to tabulate all the monies sent to what may actually be scammers and felt really s.illy. Lessons learnt sha. That Calabar-Uyo connection na something else. Let me look for the link to their unveiling. |
cedaraustine:Good question. Will respond better later tonight or tomorrow. |
nickxtra:Yes, guaranteed power supply but from government. You have forgotten that the discos do not generate power. The gencos generate and send to transmission which is still under govt. Govt, under NBET, are supervising the entire value chain. They promised the discos that they will ensure improved power supply thus the discos limited the tariff. However, govt has reneged as usual. Improved power supply is not a function of the discos but the gencos under supervision of govt. Discos only ensure that the final output get to you. Where you can fault them is if you're transformer is spoilt or if some other issue happened on your line. But the availability of light is not really subject to them. |
stone07:What Disco are you under? |
All these kinda threads sha. When i think of how much money i have been scammed off in this section, i feel like beating myself up. The most annoying was that guy that said he wants to celebrate his birthday. Didn't know he was the president general of the Calabar-Uyo branch of scammers association. Make una dey mention me na for scam busting threads. |
nickxtra:Let me use Enugu disco tariff. The disco proposed a 10 year tariff which was approved in 2016. For R2 customers, 2015 - N16.44, 2016 - N27.13, 2017 - N34.28, 2018 - N34.36, 2019 - N25.40, 2018 - N23.27, etc. This has already been approved in 2016 so they do not need to return to NERC or govt to ask for permission to increase as it has already been granted. All they need to do is continue to follow the tariff regime till the 10 years is over. However, this tariff was based on dollar at 199. Now that dollar is almost 500, they are asking for an increase. This is same for all discos. The disco might decide not to implement the increase but it is supposedly at their discretion (or some arm twisting behind the scenes). Hope that was clear enough. |
These prices are scaring me. Thank God I bought at 3400 beginning of the month in Lekki. I filled all my empty cylinders. Let me see if I can wait it out. But I have so many mouths to feed. As at Thursday, they said their price is now 4500. |
The MYTO, Multi Year Tariff, was signed into law last year. It is for 5 years. Each disco proposed their own tariff. Each year will be a different tariff. Most disco's increased initially and from the 3rd year, it will start going down. |
Those that buy into estate should ensure they have building approval for the estate and building approval for the houses. Lagos state has started shutting down estates and demolishing houses without approval. A word is enough for the wise. |
princetom1:Yes o. Very important. My so called trusted mechanic/driver went behind my back to collect money from the seller. That's the only reason he would have okayed this wreck that I cannot now give as the gift it was meant to be. The money I have spent in fixing it is not worth it at all |
This is ridiculous. Why would someone be so destructive. I am so pained at the wanton loss. Wish something rugged could be done. |
nomad26:Wow. I have 3 old passports. Making photocopies of each page of each passport would cost me some money. |
