The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday said it would institute a legal process against the National Communications Commission (NCC) to challenge the shutdown of some of its fund raising platforms. This was disclosed in Abuja by Gov. Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State during a meeting of the Fund Raising Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Organisation. According to him, the directive to shut the platform was contained in a letter signed by the Director of Consumer Affairs, Maryam Bayi, Head of Legal and Regulatory Services Yinka Akinloye, on behalf of the NCC Executive Vice-Chairman, Dr Eugene Juwah. Fashola alleged that in 2010, approval was given to some parties’ campaign organisations to raise funds using such platform but that the APC is being denied the same right in 2015. ”We have advised our lawyers to go to court. They are preparing the papers now. In 2010 approval was given to other presidential candidates to campaign to raise fund (using such a platform). ”The rule seems to have changed in 2015,” Fashola said. Reports indicated that the APC had raised an alarm last week on the alleged shutdown of the SMS campaign to raise funds for Gen. Muhammadu Buhari’s campaign. A prominent politician, Alhaji Goni Katarko who reunites with his family members told our correspondent that the insurgents called them and asked them to pick the captives at Woron yinwa village. “They were so lucky to get lorry that conveyed them to Gazargana village were we picked them through the aid of military personnel. The military kept them in a camp and pleaded with us to leave them for security reasons”. he said Goni said he has reunited with four out of his five family members abducted by the group. “I received four from my five family members abducted, the other one is among the 29 people that are yet to be released by the insurgents” . he said One of the captives, Malam Aysha said that the insurgents gathered all of of them and asked them to form two groups, saying those who want to stay with them should take one side and those not interested should go to the other. “Many of us refused to accept their offer and the leader ordered that we should be taken out of the territory so that we can join the land of unbelievers out there. They took us to Wuron Yinwa village before one herdsman led us to where we got a lorry driver that conveyed us to Gazargana village and finally picked by our relatives” . she said she said that the insurgents divided them into camps after being kidnapped from their town “Some of us were taken to Ajigil, and some to Buni yadi but they gathered all of us when they decided to release us”. Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers state has refused letting PDP use the state owned Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Igwurita-Ali for its presidential campaign slated for January 28th. According to Thisday , PDP had written to the state government seeking permission to use the stadium for its presidential campaign but in its response, the government said the party could not use it as it was under construction, a position faulted by the PDP. According to PDP, the APC had used that same stadium twice recently. Speaking on the matter, the state Chairman of PDP, Felix Obuah, said the stadium was built with Tax payers money and so should be available for use to everyone. "The facilities of Rivers State are owned by all of us; all tax-paying people. The Adokiye Amiesiemaka Stadium belongs to Rivers people; Rivers State money was used to build it. It was not meant for the Buhari campaign manager; it is not his personal property. They used it for their own rally and their own celebrations. We have applied to use the place for our rally, come 28th of this month. But the governor, in his act of impunity, has refused us the use of that place.". The Chairman warned that if the decision of Governor Amaechi is not rescinded, they would use the stadium with or without any approval. News source: Thisdaylive.com |

There were alleged reports that Ibime Belema-Jonathan, a 24-year- old native of Nembe, Baylesa, announced on Twitter yesterday that he is one of the president's illegitimate sons. "According to Belema-Jonathan, his mother was a receptionist in a Port Harcourt hotel (which shall remain undisclosed) when she met Goodluck nearly 25 years ago. Their relationship was made private because of the risks it posed to Goodluck's then fledgling political career. He has decided to disclose this information after recently being informed by his mother, who had just passed away. It is his desire for his father to assume and fulfill his fatherly duties after a lifetime of absence." Well, we are in a season of political campaign and anything can come up but the resemblance is striking Still digging up on this and will come up with something concrete soon https://m./176302192483266?view=permalink&id=719867461460067&refid=7&_ft_=qid.6105458808003015839%3Amf_story_key.-5442176465702979672
