Travel / Re: Residents Of Lagos-badagry Express Area Laments Over Poor Roads by bless1015(m): 3:57pm On Oct 19, 2018
Tajudeen165:
After months of complaints from motorist and residents, the contractor (CCECC) in charge of the Lagos Badagry express road have commence work on the road.

Residents of Lagos Badagry area have opined that the state Government have excluded them from those benefitting the basic amenities especially road being done in the state.

Coming to Badagry from Mile 2 is a nightmare for residents due to the alarming situation of the road, the future of the roads seems bright after the state Government began expansion of the road about 8years ago.

As proposed, work began and motorist and residents believed their long difficulties encountered on the road will come to an end. After few years of working, the roads construction was abandoned after some private properties have been destroyed as part of the price to pay for the development.

Some major area where the roads needs urgent attention includes, Barracks Bus top, Volks, Iyana Iba, Okoko, Isashi, Agabara, Magbon, Oko Afo. The aforementioned bustops are places where motorist encounters problem and are held up for hours, which has also reduced business in the area.

Residents have on several occasions call on Local and State Government to take urgent action on the road, on some occasions some parts are patched while others are filled with stones which keeps the road working for only sometimes.

Considering the season of hourly rain, the roads has become unmotorable, with an alarming increment in bus fee, some parts of the roads have been abandoned as one way is no more a crime along this road.

Speaking with a resident, Mr. Peter Obanuwa he said “We are no longer in Lagos map, the state government has shifted development to the highland and abandon us, I work in Ikeja and I face difficulty getting to my destination from Agbara”

He added that “ The Local government can just patch the road so that we can manage it till those rebuilding the road gets to Agbara, Help us beg Ambode to look at this side of Lagos, We have state and Federal Reps, we don’t even feel their impact”.

A motorist who pleased anonymity said, “the road is bad, especially at rush hour, though we charge high but this is because we can no longer go four trips like we used to, we hardly go two trips, we have family who rely on us, hence we need to meets family demands. The Government should help us the road is damaging our bus and we have to visit the mechanic daily”.

However, our correspondent who walked around the area discovered that contractors are back on the road and as at the time of this report, they are presently working at Okokomaiko which implies that the road construction will soon be extended to other part of Badagry.

Meanwhile, residents had planned to stage a peaceful protest on the 31st of October 2018, to pour out their grievances to the state Government and according to the memo circulated online, No vehicle will be allowed to work from Mile 2 to Badagry.

Considering the recent commencement of work on the road, it is unclear if the protest will still hold as proposed.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s Personal Assistant on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie has faulted the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for allowing its Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, pick Peter Obi as his running mate.

Onochie maintained that the prayer of Nigerians was responsible for PDP’s mistakes.

She stated that the opposition party first made a mistake by picking Abubakar who she described as “prince of corruption” as its Presidential candidate.

In a tweet, she insisted that the party made another mistake by allowing Abubakar pick Obi.

“What is wrong with PDP? Nigerians don use prayers scatter dem.

“PDP chose Prince of corruption as their flag bearer.

“PDP has now chosen Gov. Peter Obi, a man who took PDP to the 3rd position behind APGA and APC in Anambra. Chai, everyone knows Gov. Obiano is Gov Obi’s husband.”

Hypocrisy runs in your blood so stop making noise.

Majority of igbos dislike Buhari and have maintained their dislike since 2015. They are not afraid to say it anywhere.

Igbos did not give Atiku condition before supporting him. They simply want the failed government of Buhari out of power.

Obviously yoruba have shown us that they are not interested in the betterment of Nigeria rather they are interested in producing Vp. What s shame.

Everybody knows that Atiku will win our vote even if chooses a non Igbo VP. Personal i am not interested in Igbo VP. I just want Buhari out because he has failed.

Igbos dont pursue selfish agenda like you people and we also dont depend on politics to survive. We hustle

Romance / Re: Reasons Why You Shouldnt Marry A Lady Above 30 by bless1015(m): 5:07pm On Jul 27, 2018
DrDauda:
WHY MEN SHOULDN'T MARRY WOMEN ABOVE 30
 ‏
"Firstly women over-30 have a lower fertility. If you want to build a family with these old donkeys be prepared to possibly have a downs syndrome child.

2. When you marry a 30+ woman, you’re marrying her 30+ joysticks she's had over her long life on earth. She has more bodies than a grave yard.

Women over-30 are very bitter from the wasted prime spent on failed relationships she hoped would lead to marriage. Now that you’re marrying her, she should be grateful, but she’s not. She's always just angry

By marrying a woman over 30+ you are investing everything in a rapidly depreciating pleasure provider that has already lost a lot of its aesthetic value... She will be wrinkled in the next 5 years and already having back problems.

Many guys these days are marrying early 30’s women, and then, almost immediately – Bam!. It’s over almost before it began. Its because you are trying to make ancestors housewives. Leave these dinosaurs.

Marrying an over-30 woman is like buying a used car 1Km short of its 120,000km servicing. The over-30 woman can fix herself up enough to fool the prospective provider/hubby for a short while, and once the line that is dotted is signed her true colours come out.

Many women who are not married in their late 30s today never saw it coming. They had a plan: finish their first degree, masters, a job, a promotion, make money, be independent and settle down by 30, latest 32.

Over the years, they turn down potential husbands, go on a partying spree like they have frozen time, only to arrive at 35 with nothing to show for it other than a dead end job, a car, and sometimes a child from a relationship that never quite worked out

So, now they are stuck in a phase where they will never find a man of their dreams and have to settle for any man who will be gracious enough to even suggest marriage. By now, all those flimsy and shallow standards they used to have are gone, humility is their second name.

I have seen many women on Twitter in their 20s buy into the misguided, feminist belief that men & marriage are bad for their academic & career advancement. What feminism does not factor in is that the older a woman get, the less a chance she stands of marrying someone desirable.

This is a fact of life, don't come here with your Nywe Nywe Nywe misogyny... VOETSEK

Very few men would marry a 35+ woman when we live in a highly hypergamous (act of marrying someone wealthier than you) society. There are plenty of young and hot beautiful women ready to settle into a marriage where they play the second fiddle as long as the man provides.

It is good to be ambitious, even better to break the stupid glass ceilings, but at what price? Bottom line, at some point, you will need a man in your life. My experience of having observed women 30+ has proven that they mostly live a life full of regrets.

Let me share with you from my observations the signs that a woman is likely to end up single, and lonely and stay away from these types!!

1. She values education and career over marriage and relationship. She's always throwing statements like "Marriage isn't an achievement"
2. At age 30+ she has more liquor in her refrigerator than fruits and vegetables.
3. She can take down more shots than any of her peers at 30+ who have kids
4. She’s into smoking cigarettes and addicted to weed.
5. Her idea of fun at age 30+ is a night out with the girls.
6. At age 30+ she still insists on only dating men based on what their career is. "He's a lawyer" "He's a doctor" "He's an engineer"
7. The idea of cooking for a man is a total turn-off to her.
8. She has never forgiven her father for abusing her mother, or her first boyfriend used to abuse her and she now thinks every man is violent and controlling.
9. She is so much into fashion, and hair-styling she doesn't want to be identified as being old in her circles
10. Her job involves a lot of travelling.
11. She can easily find a parking spot at Taboo than her way to church.
12. She believes in absolute equality in marriage without any sacrifice or compromise.

My brother if you find an ancestor over 32+ Love yourself...... run away from these dinosaurs

Use your google bro and check every indices of development, SA beats Nigeria in all of it by a very wide margin. Ordinary mall was first brought to Nigeria by SA. Ordinary mobile telecom was brought to Nigeria by SA. So who is the master here?

It's the reason he gives for the imaginary return that is even more stupid as well as annoying. By saying they are returning because they are not wanted out there, he is reinforcing his earlier statement that Nigerians are criminals hence their rejection by other countries. That's annoying!

Next, he is exposing his emptiness upstairs because one would think that a president would make such a wild claim and justify it by saying that they're returning because of so and so policies his govt has initiated to improve the country and make it attractive/viable. Instead he goes on rambling about how it's their only country as if Nigeria has ever sufficiently catered for its resident population. That's stupid!

It's obvious this fossil is not in touch with reality and just regurgitates whatever crap he's fed. And to think so many brain dead louts are happy to continue with him..such a shame! Or is it the Libyan returnees he's having verbal diarrhoea over?

Bro btw u & I, let's tell ourself the truth. Rally is greater because that is what creates fear in the government and also it's a movement. You make noises, make your presence known, air your concerns, give ultimatum, etc. It's a mobilization unit and it builds momentum.

Let's tell ourself the truth, sitting at home does not affect Nigeria or FG. People have a choice to sit at home. The world will recognize you more or hear you when you take to the streets but in this manner, it will fade away on time. Rallies are continuous but you cannot keep staying home, you have to work and eat. If you shut down oil wells by sitting at home then it will affect Abuja and Nigeria. As it stands now, who staying at home epp? Make pengasson go on striker whether Abuja nor go shake.

You don't tell yourselves the truth and that is why things continue to fail, small things continue to look big before the eyes becos you lie to yourselves just to feel good for 30 seconds.

How can you say sitting at home is greater? Does it worry Abuja if you stay home? Mind you, on democracy day everybody stayed home, nobody worked and Nigeria didn't scrumble.

You may think that I'm hausa or yoruba cos anyone who loves Nigeria to you people is from West or north but I'm Delta Ibo I love Nigeria, it's the country I know and feels like it's home and I live freely but what I ate are our leaders (who are from north, west, north and south). Almost all the top senators for years were igbos, what did they do for their people? Pius Ayim, Okadigbo chuba, Ekweremadu, Alison maduekwe, deziani, etc. How many of these influential people yoruba or hausa? Then how come Lagos is improving? Igbos have their own share and blame in destroying this country. Didn't they also loot billions? Are they saints? The roles they occupied, did they help their people or develop their states?

I don't have a problem with peeps staying home as it is for them to honour their heroes., after all Lagos state give holiday for June 12 (Abiola) but wen Ipobians here on NL begin to talk trash and show pictures, saying every complied, 100%. Compliance, etc. I just laff.

What government said it's clear. Keep your flags, don't take to the streets, don't grant treasonable interviews or you are arrested for terrorizing the country and every ipobian complied, that alone is a defeat whether you want tell the truth or not.

Nobody is arrested for sitting at home, it's not a crime.

You are calling me a Nigerian and you are not? See you lying to yourself. I shake my head for this brainwashing. How can you discriminate? You sounded like a ghanian or a togolese now. In your word....... you Nigerians.

You guys are bewitched (sorry to say).
You probably live in outside the east (maybe in lagos)
You live in Nigeria, you were born here. You spend naira.
If you have to travel out you will use Nigerian passport
If you have an Id card it will be a Nigerian card.
Your tribe and kinsmen are also in government and also responsible in spoiling this nation along with all the criminals ruling us.
You don't use visa to live here
You don't need a work permit to work anywhere in this great nation.
If you are a football fan, your heart beats for the super eagles.

YET YOU SAY YOU ARE NOT NIGERIAN that you Ave been all your life because one liar said so? HAA!!

I pity you! You have lost your identity. You have non because biafra is not on the map. Go and claim Ghana or Togo if you hate being 9ija, those are real countries.

Now you are saying it's an internal matter so the world won't say anything. Ndi igbo, let's tell ourselves the truth Maka chineke. What about all those propaganda? America will ask buhari! Trump tis, trump dat! United nations this, UN that. The average Kanu supporter thought UN will be on their side. Now because nothing happened when Kanu was silenced you say it's an internal issue but ipob was banking on international community. When a man lies to himself and his people, he fools only himself and his people.
