We hear of a lot of misdemeanours in public and private schools these days. Do you hold the Chancellors, and every member of the governing council responsible? No, you only hold the VC and those who run the school, responsible. Directors of a company may sometimes be sued for the company's activities, but i assure you, most cases will only be successful if the directors have at least a sort of directness to the action involved and could have prevented it.

Everyone wants justice for the boy, we all want the criminals to be brought to book but let's be reasonable concerning our expectations.

You can't make someone suffer for a crime he didn't commit, there's no legal basis for that. Apart from the perpetrators suffering for their crime (which we all want), the highest that can be done against the school is sue them for negligence (vicarious liability).

But, for the pastor, any legal action against him is unlikely to succeed, as that'll be making him responsible for for the crime while he doesn't run the school directly.

It's a pity that instead of Nigerians to face the right steps and join hands in calling for the perpetrators to be brought to book, pettiness and malice against the church won't allow them.

Now, a church founded a school, which is run independently of the church, yet, you must still find a way to blame him for something he personally would have known nothing about.

Why not criticize the school authorities instead?

If you saw any mail in your inbox that's means u either cheated or ur score was low. Some they were able to answer the whole questions in 20 minutes. Imagine!!!!

This your post got me scared o. Cos i checked my dashboard and saw that i did the test in three minutes.

What really happened was that on the day of the test, after writing it i was unable to submit. I then got subsequent mails to rewrite the test. On retaking the test, the initial answers were still ticked. So i just scrolled on to the last question and then submitted.

In short, i had two bonus hours to write the test (cos i was told to retake it twice), but in each case i just ticked the same answers and submitted. If i decided to use the whole time again, that would have amounted to undue advantage. I could have scored nearly an 100%.

I'm sure the same happened to a whole lot of people here.

But, the question is: what happens if a case is inconclusive after the 12-15 months?

Will the accused be freed or simply fined?

If that's the case, it'll lead to deliberate delay of cases till the allowed period expires.

Which one seems more complicated and time consuming.

I have an upcoming test and the recruiter is asking I go through shl test format.

I just need some guidance on how to really scale through though.

My opinion:

SHL mathematics usually has more of charts, tables, statistics, etc. It's usually used for recruitments for finance, consulting companies, etc. It could sometimes be a bit difficult if you don't have a mathematical background.

GMAT is more of normal/general english and maths, logical reasoning, etc.

For SHL format, check out the PWC grad trainee thread.

GMAT is usually used by Dragnet and most other recruitment companies. You can download GMAT past questions online.

I personally found SHL easier and more predictable. However, it could be more time-consuming than GMAT.

With sufficient practice pf past questions, you'll get used to some shortcuts that may help you manage time better.

They can only insure based on the value of the house. Let's even say 5% for example. So a house worth N30m, insurance will be 1.5m. This same Lagos that ordinary dust bin Lawma money, or general things like cleaning the building, Landlords share the costs with tenants. Insurance isn't that expensive, Bro.

No Insurance company will even charge 1% of the value of the house.

Building insurance rates are anywhere between 0.2-0.6% of the value of the house.


Modified: i just saw that the Insurance in question is mainly a Liability Insurance. That said, applicable rates should be around 1% of the value Insured.

On clicking and checking through the list of programs, i found out my desired course: Msc Actuarial Science isn't in the list.

Does it mean it won't be offered this session?

In fact, most courses listed are MPhil and Phd. Msc programs were not listed.

Please, where can one get new A10 (or A10s) for less than 40K.

The price has seriously skyrocketed.
