“But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites;” (1 Kings 11: 1) That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. Solomon loved many strange women. His weakness was an affinity for strange women; his lust for women turned his heart away from God, and pushed him to erect altars for strange gods; Solomon began well, but a negative habit crept in to soil and spoil his kingship. God later got angry with Solomon and tore a large portion of Solomon's kingdom away. God cut short Solomon’s progress and achievements because of what he didn't do right. Solomon’s negative habit became his albatross; his weakness set the stage for his son's (Rehoboam's) failure. Friend, hear God’s warning: your weaknesses can truncate your greatness. Your negative habits can backfire on you; the things you are not doing right can cost you your place in destiny; your mistakes and failures can reduce and completely extinguish your destiny in one day; your wrong attitudes can set the stage for you to be swept aside in destiny. Solomon’s weakness didn't backfire on him the first day he started to live wrongly; but it later backfired and cost him the kingdom. Don’t be deceived if you make progress despite some bad habits; bad habits may not backfire today, but may backfire tomorrow. Weaknesses could pull you down when you get to the peak of your destiny. Discard every weakness, bad habit and bad attitude in you. Even if your wrong actions have not cost you anything, walk away from them before they mess up your destiny. Remember, today's weaknesses can give birth to tomorrow’s failure and disgrace. Colossians 3: 25 warns: “But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.” Prayer : Lord, I discard every weakness and negative habit in me, in Jesus’ name!Amen Have A Blessed Monday. |

“And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to prove him with hard questions.” -(1 Kings 10: 1) That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. During Solomon's Kingship, the Queen of Sheba came to visit him. She was a royal like Solomon, she had her own kingdom, but because of Solomon's greatness, she came to pay him homage. Solomon’s greatness was such that great people paid him homage; he was so great that other royals bowed to him; he was celebrated by great people. Friend, God says, you shall be celebrated by great and mighty men. Your greatness will cause great men to pay you homage; you will be so outstanding that those who matter in the affairs of this world will be at your beck and call; your greatness will cause the kings of this world to bow to you; your greatness will cause great men to run to you; you shall excel to the extent that excellent men will want to be your close associates. You will excel among excellent men; you will stand out among outstanding men; you will shine among those who are already shining; you will be the professional that other professionals will honour and celebrate; your greatness will attract attention. You will no longer be hidden or confined; your greatness will shine for all to see. Men will see what God is doing in you and through you and they will seek to know your God; you will shine beyond your borders. Your greatness will be recognized by extraordinary men. God Himself orchestrated Solomon’s kingship, and there was no way Solomon was going to end up as an ordinary king. Because Jehovah is involved in your life, you cannot be ordinary; you will be extraordinary. Prayer : Lord, kings shall come to my rising; I will shine among stars, in Jesus’ name!Amen Have A Splendid Sunday. |
Psalms 81:16 16 But you would be fed with the finest of wheat; with honey from the rock I would satisfy you." As you walk with God this year: From this Satisfy Saturday God shall feed you with finest things that men hungers and craves for and He will satisfy you with hidden substance(honey) that are hard to find In Jesus Name! Good morning and wishing you a blessed weekend. |
“And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bare spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.” -(1 Kings 10: 2) That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. When the Queen of Sheba came to visit Solomon, she came with gifts. She heard about Solomon’s wisdom, and she brought gifts for Solomon. So, Solomon’s wisdom attracted gifts. Solomon’s wisdom caused men to give him material things; Solomon’s wisdom made him richer; What he had in him attracted what he needed. Friend, God says, what you have in you will bring you the things you need. Your gifts and talents will fetch you money this year; your abilities will bring you amazing rewards; your skills will bring you wealth; what God has planted in you will cause men to give you what you are looking for; the divine deposits in you will attract earthly assets; men will see what you have to offer, and they will have no choice but to make you mouth-watering offers. Solomon asked for wisdom in order to be a good and effective King, and the same wisdom began to attract gifts from other lands. Your gifts may have a primary purpose, but this year, they will fetch you secondary income. Your abilities will bring you rewards outside of your normal expectations. Solomon’s wisdom attracted gifts because he used it freely in everything he did. Whatever God has planted in you, use it freely in everything you do. Use your abilities to serve God and humanity; use your abilities to discharge your duties. There are people watching to see what you have to offer, and what you manifest will determine if they unlock their treasures for you. Use your abilities in everything you do. Your gifts may not pay off from day one, but they will certainly pay off someday. Prayer : Lord, what I have in me will bring me what I need, in Jesus’ name!Amen Have A Restful Saturday. |
"Growth: its part of Gods plan for all of us. God wants you and I to keep flourishing, He prunes, teaches, guides, and increases our lives so we can all grow in wisdom, character and capacity. Growth is healthy!!! In the natural we encourage and cheer on our kids growth. Yet in the spiritual we can do the opposite to one another. Sadly Sometimes when you step out the ones you thought would cheer for you become the ones who try to contain you. David's brothers didn't cheer him on when he left his hillside and came to the front line. Davids growth at that moment provided everyone's safety and future security as he defeated a giant, but that moment also exposed his brothers insecurity and the kings jealously. You may sometimes be surprised by the ones who remain silent in your successes but don't allow the reactions of others good or bad determine your commitment to grow. God wants growth, He wants you to increase in the destiny He designed for your life. He wants his word to grow in you and through you. So If you are celebrated or criticized in your expansion today determine to grow anyway!" |

“And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to prove him with hard questions.” -(1 Kings 10: 1) That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. Our Focal Scripture speaks of Solomon’s fame. Because of Solomon's greatness, and because of the wisdom God gave him, people heard about him from other nations. His name rang a bell wherever it was mentioned. Solomon's fame spread abroad; his exploits announced him; his greatness was recognized in distant places. Friend, God says, this is the year of your fame! This year, men shall hear about you. Your exploits shall bring you fame; your works will cause your name to ring a bell wherever your name is mentioned; your exploits shall attract attention in high places; your abilities will announce you to people in other nations; as you utilize the divine deposits in you, men will have no choice but to run to you. God will make you famous through the works of your hands; God will use your skills, competence, career, business, ministry, etc to make you famous; everything you touch this year shall pave the way for your fame. Solomon did not need to announce himself; the wisdom God gave him announced him. The divine deposits God put in you will bring you fame; every skill you received from God will make men to hear about you. You won't need to announce yourself; God Himself will announce you. Get set: you may have been in obscurity in time past, but this is the year of your fame; this is that year when men will hear about you before they even see you; this is your year of undeniable visibility. Isaiah 62 vs. 3 captures it profoundly: “Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.” Prayer : Lord, men shall hear about me this year; I shall be famous, in Jesus’ name!Amen Have A Fabulous Friday. |
John 15:5 5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. “7. And David said to Solomon, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God: 11. Now, my son, the LORD be with thee; and prosper thou, and build the house of the LORD thy God, as he hath said of thee.” -(1 Chronicles 22: 7, 11) That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. In our Focal Scripture, David disclosed that he had planned to build God’s temple. He had a dream and a mission he wanted to accomplish; he wanted to build a temple for God, and he had the resources to build it. David had a dream and also had what it took to achieve it, but he didn't achieve it because God stopped him. In the process of time, Solomon built the same temple that David wanted to build. David had a dream, but Solomon fulfilled the dream; David planned it, but Solomon accomplished it; David made the plans, but it was Solomon who executed the plans. Simply put, Solomon actualized David's dream. Friend, hear God’s prophetic word to you: you have the anointing for actualization. Others will dream and you will be the one to fulfill the dreams; others will make plans but you will be the one to fulfill those plans; others will see opportunities but it is you who would take the opportunities; others will dream of what they want to achieve, but it is you who would achieve it. As people dream of their next level, you will be the one to step into the next level. The testimonies and breakthroughs that others dream of will be your portion; you will occupy positions that others aspire to; you shall have celebrations that others are planning to have; the goodies that others wish for will be yours. Ask God to grant you the anointing for actualization; ask God to give you what others are dreaming of. Prayer : Lord, I have the anointing for actualization; I will fulfill what others dream of, in Jesus’ name!Amen Have A Splendid Thursday. |

“Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.” -(1 Chronicles 22: 9) That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. In our Focal Scripture, God promised to give Solomon rest from his enemies. God also promised to give peace and quietness to Israel during Solomon's reign. Solomon later reigned in Israel for forty years (see 2 Chronicles 9: 30). It was a forty year Kingship with peace and tranquility; Solomon's prosperity was not marred by needless battles. Friend, hear God’s word: in 2015, you shall have prosperity with peace. Your advancement shall not be marred by needless battles; your progress and celebrations shall not be interrupted by the enemy; your prosperity shall make you happy and bring no sorrow with it; you will enjoy your prosperity in peace. What God will give you this year shall come in peace; you shall enjoy your continuous congratulations, increase, promotions, etc in peace; you shall make giant strides that won't put you into trouble; no enemy of your destiny will truncate your blessings and breakthroughs. No battle will steal your peace and prosperity. Solomon enjoyed kingship without being vulnerable to any attack of his enemies; God says, His blessings on your life will not make you vulnerable. You will enjoy God’s blessings without being vulnerable to the enemy. Focus on God and forget the enemies who are gathering against you on account of your God-given prosperity. Your prosperity will not steal your peace; you shall prosper in peace. Isaiah 54 vs. 14 puts it aptly: “In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.” Prayer : Lord, I shall prosper in peace, in Jesus’ name!Amen Have A Wonderful Wednesday. |

“And Jonathan answered and said to Adonijah, Verily our lord king David hath made Solomon king.” -(1 Kings 1: 43) That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. In 1 Kings 1 vs. 30, David announced that he had sworn by the Lord to make Solomon his successor. So, Solomon was already destined for the throne; but before he was crowned, Adonijah ran ahead and made himself King. Adonijah attempted to occupy and possess a position that was reserved for Solomon. Notice that after Adonijah made himself King, his elevation was reversed and Solomon took his rightful place. He made an attempt on Solomon’s position, but his attempt was futile. He almost succeeded in taking what was reserved for Solomon, but his success gave way to failure. Solomon’s position on the throne was reserved, and no one could take it. Friend, in 2015, no man shall take your place. No man shall occupy any position God has reserved for you; no one will take the opportunity God has destined for you; no one shall steal your position; no one shall steal your office; no one shall steal your possessions; no one shall divert what is already coming to you; no man shall sit on any throne God has destined for you. Any ‘Adonijah’ who wants to steal your throne is a pretender that will never succeed; any man waiting to take your place will wait forever. Adonijah made an attempt on Solomon’s throne, it backfired on him, and he later lost his life. Any one attempting to take your place will receive divine judgement. Whatever God has given you to possess is yours already, nothing missing and nothing broken. No man can tamper with your position or walk away with your divine supplies. Your place is secured; your position is reserved. Psalm 16 vs. 5 puts it aptly: “... thou maintainest my lot.” Prayer : Lord, no man shall take my place this year; my position is reserved for me, in Jesus’ name!Amen Have A Blessed Monday. |

Malachi 4:2 2 But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves. As you walk in the fear of the Lord this year: from this (Sun-day) Sunday the Sun of Righteousness shall rise unto you, with healing in His wing to heal everything that require healing in your life & destiny(academic, business, carrier, marriage, relationship, health, finance,...) & afterward you shall grow fat in all area of life beyond imagination In Jesus Name! “But Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and Nathan the prophet, and Shimei, and Rei, and the mighty men which belonged to David, were not with Adonijah.” (1 Kings 1: ![]() That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. Before Solomon became King, there were attempts by Adonijah to take the throne. There was a circumstance that arose to scuttle Solomon’s rise to royalty. There was a hurdle before Solomon's kingship. Solomon was young, and was not in a position to speak for himself. He was not in a position to fight for the throne. In our Focal Scripture, some men refused to join Adonijah, and they later supported Solomon’s rise to the throne. Nathan the Prophet spoke to David on behalf of Solomon (see 1 Kings 1: 24-27); he took Solomon’s matter personal, and Solomon eventually possessed the throne that God already destined for him. Destiny helpers aided Solomon's elevation. Friend, this year, God will send you destiny helpers who will help you to achieve all you need to achieve. God will send you men who will help you rise to the top; God will send you men who will speak for you in high places; God will send you men who will build bridges that will connect you to your next level; God will send you men who will help you when you can’t help yourself. Solomon did not ask for help from Nathan, but Nathan willingly helped Solomon. God says, in this year, men will help you even when you haven’t asked for their help; men will assist you even when you haven’t sought their assistance; men will speak for you even when you haven’t asked them to speak for you; God will cause you to receive unsolicited help. God already ordained that Solomon would be king, and He brought men to make Solomon's kingship a reality. For every plan God has for you this year, He will send you destiny helpers to make it possible. Prayer : Lord, send me destiny helpers, in Jesus’ name!Amen Have A Super Sunday. |

“And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do judgment.” (1 Kings 3: 28) That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. It is remarkably noteworthy that Solomon was a man of many parts. He was a great King, a great writer, a poet per excellence, a man of wisdom, an excellent judge, an orator, etc. Solomon manifested many skills and abilities that made him famous; and in every skill and ability he manifested, competence was the hallmark. Friend, God says, in 2015, walk in multiple competences. Manifest every gift and skill that God has put in you; strive to excel in different dimensions. Don’t be known for only one thing; be known for different things all at once. Don’t be good at just one thing; be good in several different things; learn new skills and develop new abilities that will earn you money. Solomon was primarily a King, but Kingship did not stop him from writing three books in the bible, namely: Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Songs of Solomon. Your primary assignment is no excuse to abandon other abilities that God has put in you; it’s okay to focus on your career, but do well to manifest your creativity and ability through other platforms. Solomon wasn't a mediocre in some areas and excellent in other areas; he was excellent and competent on all fronts. Strive to excel in everything you do; excel in your career and also excel in the business you do by the side; excel in your major and minor abilities and skills. Don’t be counted among those who can only do one thing; be counted among those who manifest great virtues, skills, abilities, etc. Like Solomon, be a person of multiple competences. Proverbs 12 vs. 24 puts it this way: “The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.” Prayer : Lord, I walk in multiple competences, in Jesus’ name!Amen Have A Restful Saturday. |
My Night Thought: "Hold on to your Vision and pursue your dream vigorously in such a way that 2015 will realise you are the MASTER and it is just a loyal MESSENGER". Goodnight({}) . |
“Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.” (1 Kings 3: 12) That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. When Solomon became King, he had an encounter with God, and God declared that there would be none like Solomon before him or after him. God declared that Solomon would stand out among the Kings that preceded him and those who would succeed him. God declared that Solomon would be outstanding. Solomon was yet to make any major exploit as king; so this promise was not dependent on his efforts; it was dependent on what God said concerning him. The fact that Solomon would later stand out was because God decided to make him stand out. Friend, in 2015, God will empower you to be outstanding in all you do; you shall stand out among your peers, colleagues, contemporaries, family, friends, rivals, enemies, etc. God will give you opportunities to stand out among those around you. God will cause your paths to shine brighter and brighter, and you will shine unto perfection and distinction. Solomon already had a sure word that he would be outstanding, and it was only natural that everything would be platforms for distinction. Because of God’s word concerning you, you will stand out; it's not about your strength and abilities; it's all about what God is able to make happen through you. You will shine beyond your imaginations; you will achieve what you thought you could never achieve; you will make more impact than you planned to make; you will step into places of honour; you will shine like a million stars, nothing will confine you to obscurity. Get set to shine brighter and brighter this year; if God be for you, you shall be outstanding. Prayer : Lord, I shall be outstanding this year, in Jesus’ name!Amen Have A Fabulous Friday. |
My Night Thought: "If they multiply your virtues, make your heart smile and never give up on you; Please keep them CLOSE". Goodnight({}) . |
Whether you’ve just had another setback chasing your dreams, been rejected by someone you care about, faced tragedy, or you’re just feeling drained from the ups and downs of this journey we call life, remember that things can turn around in an instant. All you have to do is keep moving forward, even when it feels like it would be easier to just lay down and give up. Move On! Move On!! Move On!!! |
“Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?” (1 Kings 3: 9) That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. When Solomon got a chance to ask for what God would give him, he asked for wisdom. Solomon asked God to grant him understanding to be a good judge and a good king. Solomon asked for wisdom to help him face the task ahead; his new assignment was enormous, and he asked for wisdom. Greatness had just been bestowed on Solomon, and he asked for wisdom. Friend, God will grant you unrivalled wisdom all year round. You shall walk in divine wisdom. You shall have understanding in all things. God will open your eyes to see what others can’t see; God will give you wisdom to discern hidden opportunities; God will give you wisdom to achieve what your human strength can not achieve; God will give you wisdom for uncommon exploits. This year, God will grant you wisdom to know what to do and when to do it. God will give you wisdom to escape the traps of fraudsters and cheats. God will give you wisdom to excel in interviews; God will give you wisdom to excel in your career and business; God will grant you wisdom to excel in examinations and tests; God will give you wisdom to be outstanding. Solomon’s wisdom was not according to the order of men; his wisdom came directly from God, and no man could stand it. God says, you will be too wise for any man to confuse or deceive you this year. You shall have the wisdom of ancients. Solomon was a child, but he was wiser than everyone in his generation. God says, you will have more wisdom than is expected of your age. Ask God to release the unction of wisdom upon you; ask God for grace to walk in wisdom in 2015. Prayer : Lord, all through 2015, I shall walk in wisdom and understanding, in Jesus’ name!Amen Have A Splendid Thursday. |
“And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in.” (1 Kings 3: 7) That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. Whilst Solomon spoke to God in a dream, he identified himself as a little child. He described himself as one who did not know how to go out or come in. He presented himself as one who was inadequate for the position of honour that was bestowed on him. He was small, but God gave it to him. Friend, hear God’s prophetic word: God will give you positions that are bigger than you; God will give you miracles you did not plan or prepare for; God will grant you amazing favours you don’t deserve, and great opportunities that are bigger than you; God will give you what others fight and compete to have. Other children would have been waiting for adulthood to start making giant strides, but for Solomon, serious things had already begun to happen. God says, when nothing good is happening for others, plenty good things will happen in your life. Get set to have it even if you are small and inadequate; get set to have it even when you don’t deserve it or you haven’t lobbied for it; get set to step up even if others are more qualified. Solomon had people ahead of him in David’s family, he had an elder brother named Adonijah who should rightly be considered as David’s heir apparent, but God bypassed Adonijah and others to make Solomon King. Are there people who are boasting of their qualifications and the fact that they are ahead of you? God says, they will still be there and you will be chosen ahead of them. Focus on God and forget those who are more qualified than you; don’t look down on yourself because of what you don’t have. If God be for you, get set for something bigger than you. Prayer : Lord, even when I am not qualified or ready, I shall have it, in Jesus’ name!Amen Have A Wonderful Wednesday. |
The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace. (Exodus 14:14). The Almighty God shall fight for you and your household and shall give you ultimate victory in every battle of life that you face. Rejoice for your victory is sure in Jesus name. Have a great day. Good afternoon |
