y2k62: wait o. They'll still want card to confirm results even when I have my original waec certificate to present?@y2k62: Yeah! You will have to even with your original WAEC certificate. Include that in your budget. Cheers! |
sylvalord: thanks sir@sylvalord: you are welcome! Best regards! |
tinahrex: ..Errm....dis letters,is it dat we'll write it ourselves on paper wit a pen den type it awt properly or it takes d form of a 'form' dah we simply jst fill in d gaps@tinahrex: they are ordinary formal letters, you and your parents/guardians can write them or you could visit any business centre around the uni. Business centres have templates though I am not often impressed with their content. I would advise you proof-read it properly if you choose to use their template. Last clearance, I know a number of students who were bounced back at the clearance desk because they didn't write the title of their courses/names correctly which is a big shame! Cheers! |
Mickey7: u sed i cud get d guarantor's n acceptance letters frm any high court ryt @ metaphycist@Mickey: the guarantor's and acceptance are not from high court judges. The guarantor's letter is from your parent/guardian. The acceptance letter is written by you that you have accepted to study the course etc. Cheers! |
Profemmy001: Uhm...Is it true dah d admission status won't be pasted on d kofa page? So d list on Jamb is d only 1?@Profemmy001: hope you are looking to become a Prof as your pseudoname suggests? Don't be perturbed by what you heard! It "MUST" be published on kofa. If it is not, there would be no online clearance this year. Relax, CRPU is in charge and they are non-academics. Cheers! |
Profemmy001: Uhm...Is it true dah d admission status won't be pasted on d kofa page? So d list on Jamb is d only 1? |
akpan aniefiok: thanx .wat about us dat did waec dis year and made our papers ,can would use the waec result?@akpan: you are welcome! Yeah! Your certificate is not ready, no one would ask you for it. Come with you statement of result. Everyone would need WAEC/ NECO scratch cards for the officers to confirm the results online. A student combining results would need a card for each result. Cheers! |
Congratulations to everyone who has been admitted! Those that are yet to be admitted, don't be dismayed. Anything can still happen but even if nothing happens just know that God has a better plan for you. You might not believe it but you will be thankful to God at His appointed time. I know somebody who was not offered any course last year even though she passed but she has been offered her choice course this year. Learn from every disappointment, life is 10% what happens to you and 90% what you make out of it. Every disappointment I have witnessed in the past couple of years have always resulted to blessings which I am grateful to God for. A popular pastor often says that God is a puppet-master who controls everything. I know it is difficult but please encourage yourself because God has good things in stock for you but you might need to be patient and persevere till manifestation. To the freshers, I will advise you take note of the following information: *Come with the originals of all your documents, WAEC/NECO certificate or statement of result, birth certificate/affidavit of declaration of age, affidavit of non-membership of secret cult, affidavit of good conduct, guarantors letter, acceptance letter, jamb admission letter, jamb result with passport photograph etc. *If you sat your exams more than two years ago, I will advise you get your certificate, else you will be asked to go get it from wherever you sat the exams, I know a number of students were sent to Bornu and other troubled states. *If you wrote the exam in less than two years and your certificate is not ready, I will advise you bring your statement of result rather than just online printout. *Check if your DOB on your WAEC certificate is same with your birth certificate/affidavit of age declaration and JAMB result. *If you do not have a real birth certificate duly signed and stamped, go do an affidavit to declare age. Last year, some freshers brought birth certificates that were designed in business centre with their current passport photograph, you know the rest of the story. *Make sure the name on your WAEC/NECO result is consistent with your JAMB result, birth certificate etc. Last year, there were some bad cases which could not be resolved. For example, a candidate combining results had say Joy E. Ogbeide in WAEC result and Joy Ejiro O. in her NECO result. No two names matched. *Always have a copy of whatever document you are asked to submit. I will advise you make "7" copies rather than "6" copies so you keep one for yourself. Throughout your stay in UNIBEN, it is often expedient to have a copy of any document/letter you submit in any office. *You will submit original copies of affidavit of non-membership of secret cult, affidavit of good conduct, guarantor's letter and acceptance letter. *Please cooperate and obey the instructions from the clearance officers to make it easy for both parties. If time permits, I will share more tips with you on how to excel another time. Best wishes!!! |
sylvalord: owk sir.. Do i need the admission letter 4 online or physical clearance?@sylvalord: you need black and white photocopies of all documents. Do well to come with original copies too. Cheers! |
Metaphycist: NOI don't think your info is totally correct. Last year, the uni asked those who wrote WAEC from 2010 upwards to go get their certificate. So if the chap wrote in 2011, I will advise he gets it. Cheers! |
skimofat: I ws invited 4 testSKKAM! |
saidioo: I have a passion for teaching but haven't really had the opportunity to teach, I revently got invited to interviewDear saidioo: I don't think it will be difficult, you are likely to be asked some questions on your discipline. You need to show them you are knowledgeable in your field. It will be a panel interview likely chaired by a professor. I would advice you go with any publication you have and reference letters. Good luck! |
Congratulations to those that have been offered admission in Great UNIBEN! Congratulations in advance to those that will be offered admission later! There is no cause for alarm, just relax and exercise little patience. For those who are not happy with courses they were given, be thankful to God for giving you something. It is only when you are thankful that you can get something better from God. I will advise you accept it and start from there. If you do not get fulfilled studying the course, I would advise you move to where you will be fulfilled either by writing JAMB or change of course. For those who are looking to change course: Each department can only sign out 10%(I can't remember precisely) of its student. A department can not sign in more than 5%(I can't remember precisely) of its students. You also need to have good grades. The last application cost 20k. Your success in life depends on you and God. God always does His part so you have a great deal of work to do. It is very good to graduate in good grades but do not hope the university will 'retain' you if you have a First Class at the end of your programme. With the current unemployment crisis in Nigeria, I will advise you all to think less that a First Class or Second Class Upper will secure you a job in the bank, oil company etc. A good degree does not guarantee you a good job in Nigeria. Please think of what you can do to be gainfully employed even before you start your programme so that you would fall in the same shoes some graduates are presently. I know some of you might have made plans on how to 'explore' when you get to campus since you will no longer be under the watchful eyes of your parent/guardians. However, I plead with you to have a rethink and do what you are meant to in school. Study very hard and make your parents/guardians proud do not waste their efforts! Try to improve your time management skill and only get involved in productive activities. You can never regain any time you waste. Make good friends who will lead you to your dream rather than those who will kill your dream. Please shun CULTISM! I really grieves me when I remember cases of young people who where killed in their prime because of CULTISM in UNIBEN. Please do not throw your faith away, rather grow in faith. Apologies for writing so much, I had to because I may not have the opportunity to meet some of you in person. 'Letters' will fail me to fully pass my message across. I wish you the best of success in your endeavours! Long live Great UNIBEN!!! |
Yazmin: He is from ile ife....blessed fellow, kindly read the retired General's auto biography 'the making of a general' by lindsay berett.@Yazmin: there is no way I would make a repost. I am 100% sure of what I said. The author of the article you referred me is not Nigerian and perhaps did not do a thorough check about TY Danjuma's hometown. I never disputed he is Jukun, Jukun is spoken in Takum, Wukari and Ussa LGAs of Taraba. FYI, visit the links below to disprove or confirm what I said. He is from 'Takum' NOT 'Wukari' www.tydanjumafoundation.org/board-of-trustees/lt-gen-ty-danjuma-rtd-gcon/ www.nigerianbestforum.com/index.php?topic=228626.0 Cheers! |
REHOZIBAH: Gen T Y Danjuma who is from Wukari(Taraba) should nt allow charlatans to turn the state into a theatre of war@REHOZIBAH: TY Danjuma is not from Wukari. |
eHustler: .......Just that the house these days is dry and dull but guys are still peeping. I believe one day it will end well by HIS grace.Amen.@eHustler: Yeah, the house has been so quite because most folks activated the *peeping mode*. Aal izz well. We will all rejoice in due course by His grace. |
eHustler: I am one of the most hyper-active members of the forum but with different pseudoname. The tone of your piece here sounds familiar with that of the main arena. As for the great N.....party, something keeps telling me it will come, after all no invite for this new recruitment yet.@eHustler: I am finding it pretty difficult to correlate the tone of your writings with any of the hyper-active members of the main arena because your disposition on both fora appear different. Are you the 'morale-leader' or the originator of the 'g' word? It is all good! We are rest assured that the great .n..... party will come as long as 2012 recruitment remains in the 'cooler'. Till then, make we dey carry on with our parade till we hear the beagle! |
christofun01: NNPC job waiting don tire me.@christofun01: NNPC appointment requires you to be prepared to 'wait' as the process is often bedevilled by lots of twists and turns which one can't forsee. I will advice you just carry on with other activities till it comes. Waiting almost ripped me a couple of other opportunities, thank God I carried on with other activities! |
eHustler: They want to kill our 2nd batch dream..lol! Nothing until the much awaited 2nd batch is out says the 'General'! Guess you understand where, what and who am talking about? See you at the main arena as we continue peeping!@eHustler: The above is perfectly decoded! I never knew you are among the ranks. How come I haven't seen your post on the other thread or do you have a different pseudoname? I think you might have seen my post though I have a different pseudoname there. The great .n..... party must surely come!!! Cheers Bro! |
eHustler: Guy cool down, NNPC job isn't what you rush about. The recruitment is still in the cooler. Expect to resume work in 2015 if you are successful at the end of the day, and if you think am a joker, ask those who were successful in the 2010 recruitment exercise !. @eHustler: you harsh o but it is the truth, it might even span beyond 2015! |
master.eyebee:@master.eyebee: None of those guys applied last December. Some of them did quite well in the 2010 recruitment but could/would not be absorbed while the others came from the other side. |
Idi Amin: FG is not good and ASUU is not a better side either. I spent 6yrs on a 4yr course in UNN just because of those selfish old professors who always demand to retire @70. They wanna die in classroom and the funniest part is that most of them are already senile and can't teach no more. Just take a look at Prof Wole and his senile comments these days on national dailies@Idi Amin: You don't know the rationale behind the 70 years retirement age. You would have been happy with it if you knew! If a professor uses his real age in joining the service, he should still be productive @ 70 (all things being equal). |
It is sardonic to hear FG can't meet ASUU's demand. From the comments so far, it is lucid many people do not know ASUU's demand 'abinitio'. It includes allowances, infrastructure, budgetary allocation to education(primary, secondary and tertiary) etc. It might interest you to know that budgetary allocation to education in Ghana this year is about 33% about 7% higher than UN's recommendation. In our dearly beloved Nigeria, budgetary allocation to education was reduced from about 9% last year to about 8% this year while recurrent expenditure has increased to 77.2% this year. It might interest you to know that ASUP will resume indefinite strike after next week because our government have not done 'a single thing in their agreement'. Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria! |
Nollywood actress, Tonto Dike who has been dogged by controversy in recent times over marijuana pictures allegedly posted on Instagram by her, speaks with AHMED BOULOR AS much as you have not denied posting the Marijuana pictures on Instagram most people seem not to believe the story; did you deny posting those pictures on Instagram because of the arrest threat by NDLEA? No! I didn’t deny posting those pictures on Instagram because of the supposed threat of arrest by the NDLEA. I still have my Twitter and Instagram accounts and I will not delete or hide anything from anybody because I have nothing to hide. Anybody that wants to make any findings can access my accounts and view what they want to. Were you shaken by the arrest threat by NDLEA? I was never shaken by the threat from the NDLEA because I don’t think I committed any crime. I posted the picture with a different caption but an impostor with a different account used the same picture with another caption. That person has an account with my name and if you go through facebook or even Twitter you’ll discover that most celebrities have more than one account. I was not shaken or threatened in anyway because I know I didn’t do anything wrong. Have you been contacted thus far by officials of NDLEA? I haven’t been contacted by anyone from the NDLEA and it would be a shame if they contacted me. Was your Instagram account compromised? My Instagram account was not compromised; I have an account on Instagram, when you are not verified because you have other accounts set up with your name by other people, then unsuspecting people may not know which account is the real one. When that picture was posted, it started trending because people who posted it did not care to verify whether the account was originally mine. Thereafter, I received a lot of backlash from the press; and everyone believed the story hook-line-and- sinker simply because it is Tonto Dikeh. Do you consider yourself a good role model? I am a role model to those who see me as one; I am sure Nigerians out there see and read all these things and they laugh. I am sure there are people out there who appreciate what I do as an actress and hope to someday achieve what I have achieved as a thespian. For how long will your career continue to thrive on controversy? My career thrives on everything; my career thrives on all the ups and downs that I have been faced with. But most especially, the controversies have made me stronger and wiser. What’s your take on the fact that most people believe that you are weird and wild? I don’t care about them because they don’t care about me; everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion. I live my life the way I want to. People should also remember that I am human and no one is perfect. Have you always thought of acting or circumstance brought you into it? I never thought of becoming an actress from the onset; I always wanted to be an engineer. I wanted to make a name for myself as an engineer but acting just took over. I never considered acting while growing up but acting is paying my bills now. Are you too strong to fall in love? I am not too strong to fall in love; I am human and I have feelings too. I don’t think there is any woman on earth that has not experienced love in one form or the other. Is it possible for you to marry an actor? That’s not possible; I can never be caught doing that. I can’t marry an actor. What was it like celebrating your last birthday in London? It was fun and it turned out to be one of the most eventful days of my life. Although, I wished I spent it here in Nigeria so more people who know me could have had the opportunity to celebrate with me. I only celebrated with a few friends in London but it was okay by me because the love I received was pure and I got a whole lot of gifts. What really happened at Iyanya Concert in London when you fell on stage; were you intoxicated or you simply missed your steps? I wore a very long gown and my dress got caught up in the high heel shoes that I was wearing. The thing was that, I wasn’t dressed to perform at the time I mounted the stage but when I got on the stage to introduce myself to the fans, my latest single was being played and I just decided to give the yearning fans a bit of me when the incident occurred. I wasn’t intoxicated, I just missed my steps. Do you think you are making any meaningful headway in your music career considering the amount of criticism you’ve been faced with over the strength and quality of your songs? Yes, I think I am getting somewhere; I have been working on new songs and I have also been performing too. I have committed myself on three grounds now as an actress, an artiste and as one giving hope to motherless babies and more. It has been so stressful and right now I am concentrating my efforts at my project which is the ‘Say No To Domestic Violence’ campaign. I am trying to lend my voice to those who do not have a voice to speak. Did you particularly go through any experience that made you embark on the ‘Say No To Domestic Violence’ campaign? Yes I did, not physically but emotionally. The idea was mooted by my management team as a way of giving back to society. Most people go through domestic violence but they do not know what it is and I know most people in this country go through domestic violence one way or the other. Are you thinking of releasing an album very soon? How soon, I cannot tell for now but I think something will materialise before the second, quarter of next year. It is still in,the works but like I said earlier, my musical career is getting somewhere. What was going through your mind when had that snake-like tattoo with a bleeding heart inscribed on your back? I decided to have that tattoo because I wanted to have it. Nothing really was going through my mind when I decided to have it. Is it true that your mum is half-Canadian? My mum is not half Canadian; she has traces of Ghanaian blood in her too. She is not half- Canadian; she is a quarter-Canadian. You have been around for a while and you have made so much impact, is there anybody that you wish to co-star with in Hollywood and in Nollywood? For Nollywood, I think I have featured with everybody that is relevant on the scene. I have featured with the best of the best. Nobody thrills me except Joke Silva; I have never worked with her before and I would love to do that pretty soon. For Hollywood, I would say there are a whole lot of them. What informed your decision to give scholarships and gifts to hundreds of children some months back? I always do that every now and then but that was the first time it became public. I have people I feed and clothe and I am not saying this to impress anybody. Giving is a special thing to me and I give as God blesses me. What’s your greatest fear? My greatest fear is remaining the same person I was yesterday; I should experience growth every day. I am also scared of failure… Would you at sometime in your career venture into movie production like your other colleagues? That is something I wouldn’t like to venture into; I like the fact that my other colleagues are going into it but it is not my calling. But I have invested my money in a whole lot of movie production without my name being mentioned. What has been your highpoints thus far as an actress? Being able to give back to society; to the less privilege and those in need because I get money through their support and the movies they buy. I am only happy to give back for the love and support they have shown over the years. Have you been offered your most challenging movie role yet? I am yet to be handed my most challenging movie role; it is so disappointing to admit that fact anyway. What kind of movie production inspires you? It is not about the production; it is about the script. The script has to move me before production seconds it. I would reject roles that I have played before or roles that I deem insignificant. A bad script turns me off… What do you do at times to improve your skill as an actress? I watch a whole lot of movies when I have the time; I consider Indian actors to be one of the best around because they express themselves better. I also watch a lot of my movies so I can correct my mistakes. I try to school myself with the various materials that I have. I also read about acting and mostly watch actors do their thing in order to learn from them. Do you consider yourself a misunderstood actress? Yes I do; I think I am one of the most misunderstood actresses around. But like I said earlier, I don’t care what people think about me. Are you working towards being a finished product as an artiste? Yes I am seriously working on that; I don’t think I am a finished product yet. I am learning more things to improve myself. Criticism is for you to get better; it is not for you to get ashamed or feel bad. Criticism is meant for you to improve, that’s what most people do not understand. It is meant to make you stronger and build you up into a better person in the long run. www.thenationonlineng.net/new/ndlea-yet-to-contact-me-tonto-dikeh/ |

This appears to be "a battle of the form" in which the "last shot (Mr Argakov)" wins!!! |
They are *SCAMMERS*!!! |
bendutch: OASIS OIL AND GAS LIMITED sent you a message:@Bendutch: It is first order *SCAM*! |
Justice-4-all:Dear Justice-4-all: you are welcome! Do well to visit the thread from time to time. Cheers! |
Justice-4-all:@Justice-4-all: I have sent the website to your inbox. I know it can be really disheartening considering the risk taken at a time Abuja was under threat by terrorists. It is quite unfortunate the corporation could not get across to a number of guys and confirm their bank details. Apologies I do not know of any channel to rectify that because I know a number of folks who are in same shoes with you. The allowee came when no one expected. Whatever the case maybe life goes on my brother. Cheers! |
Justice-4-all:Dear Justice-4-all: sorry to hear you did not get a refund for your t-fare. Some persons did not because they had closed the account they filled, others might have filled in wrong account number, some persons who do not fall into the above did not receive for reasons I do not know. Abuja residents did not receive refund, some persons received 10k, others 20k and 30k. I think it is connected to mileage. Your sincerely received 30k. If you could send me a pm, I would direct you to a thread on the recruitment. I do not want to post it here for obvious reason. Cheers! |
