It's those that have appealed before I want to hear from. Because If I am to do another police character would have to legalize and authenticate again.
Mind you Legalisation is till February and have a week to appeal my Visa...

Sorry to hear about ur denial. Spain student visas are not very often denied. For Every embassy denial , u are given a paper with a reason checked on it . What reason was checked on urs ?

maybe 1k/$1500, that's if the bank in Nigeria puts the remaining dollar In an account and prints original statement for you to hold.
I don't advice this if you'll be landing in Kiev, atleast $3000

Guys to be on the safe side pls hold around 3k usd on you. As of yesterday a student was sent back for not having enough. He had $2100 at hand . This happened at Kharkiv airport . So guys whether Kharkiv or Kiev I beg hold atleast minimum 3k usd

Hello guys, i was denied for number 8 and 10 reasons. Do i need to appeal this as i realized that the age factor and school resumption date may be the reason for number 10, but i am still confuse of the number 3. I submitted the following financial document:
1. Sponsor's credit card cert with limit of 11,340,000.
2. Sponsorship letter (notorized)
3. 3 months payslip of the sponsor
4. confirmation of appointment of the sponsor.
5. credit card of 3,200,000 on my own name.
6. Affidavit of sponsorship.

Kindly advise, how can i appeal the reasons: number 3 and 8.

Sorry about your denial. U can pm me if would like.

I know someone who was denied for number 3 and he appealed for number 3, when the decision came out after appeal he was denied for number 8 again, going through his document from the school he realised the extension date the school gave him has elapsed.

This situation is a bit different Bc the applicant resolved the initial decision but upon embassy trying to issue him the visa they noticed that if they should grant him the visa he no longer has valid grounds for entry into Poland because school has resumed and no valid letter to extend resumption . So there is no legal basis for entry into Poland any longer so the embassy could not issue a visa in this case.

So let me put it this way..... once u resolve the reason u were denied initially, upon appeal the embassy will issue the visa as long as the issue date of the visa is not after your resumption date in your admission/acceptance documents unless u have a valid extension letter in place that shows that you still have legal grounds of entry into Poland.

Please is there any case of a visa denial appeal being rejected for another reason altogether ?
Eg. You got rejected for no 3 and you appeal and then get rejected for no 8 ?
Please if you have any info I’d appreciate

I have responded to this b4. When u appeal, your appeal should only be based on the reason why u were denied initially.

For example in ur initial application, if you were denied on basis of financial reasons (number 3 ) , your appeal should only be based on addressing number 3. Once u resolve that number 3, embassy will reverse their decision and give u the visa, if u do not resolve number 3 in ur appeal embassy will retain their initial decision. In appeal they will not give you a new denial reason. They either keep the decision they made initially or reverse it if u have solved it.

You can share how to verify verify work permit on this thread.

What is not allowed is to disclose any agent's information

You can verify work permits directly from the labour office (urząd we call it in Polish) of the city that issued it. Each city has a labour office ok. So for example
If your work permit was issued in Warsaw you will contact:

Wydział SPRAW CUDZOZIEMCÓW
Oddział Zezwoleń na Pracę
plac Bankowy 3/5, Warszawa, wejście F, III piętro
+48 22 6956917

So every city will have its own labour and migration urząd where work permits are issued.

But one thing u need to understand is because of language barrier , some of the urząd will find it difficult to communicate directly with u and u with them because they speak polish and not English.

So first things first know the city where the prospective employer applied for your work permit.
Using that we can know the labour urząd that issued your work permit. Most often u can get that info from the work permit itself.

Thanks again for this. I have confirmed that the two unis have the CS course for February intake and considering them but still on the lookout for public /state own universities that will run the course in February. I prefer public universities to private - cost is not the factor here just a preference.

For public uni you can check Poznań University of Technology . They don’t have computer science but they have other IT courses.

Olarowtimi:

How do i fix this, thanks

I am sorry to say that there is no magic fix for this, that is if you submitted all the right documents with no discrepancies in your docs and still got number 8 then as I mentioned previously the reasons for ur number 8 may be due to any of the following:

1. The responses u provided during your written or oral interview or both i.e why u want to study in Poland and why u want to travel to study ur course during a pandemic and not online. (The VO may have felt the reasons u provided were not justifiable enough )

2. Error in VO judgment (which is that small 5% I talked about. Which like I mentioned earlier they will never admit it . They will rather keep their decision if this is the case.)

3. Visa quota

Again There is no magic fix for it, If the reasons for the denial on number fall into one of the 3 above.... these are circumstances u cannot easily change on your appeal therefore your chances of getting the visa on appeal is like 10% if this is the case even with or without a statement of purpose.

* this could also be a similar scenario if u get a number 10 as well in some cases.

You can either try with that 10% chance in mind or do a new application and apply as a fresh applicant from start in another intake Or Both Or try another country. (Though there is no guarantee but these are certainly options. Some people tried 5 times and got it the 5th time. But then again the reason for their previous denials may be different. Every circumstance is diff. It’s difficult to conclude because no one is in the VO’s mind )

* pls note whether oral or written, the responses you provide during your interview at the embassy are recorded.

* I understand u may not necessarily like my response and I know it’s not the response you were expecting but these are only my opinions based on experience and observations.

Hope this helps..

Olarowtimi:

Yes i did

Nna eh u see this visa application thing like this is not always about the documents you submitted or did not submit. You can submit all the perfect documents and still get denied. I will tell you this......

Number 8 denial on justification of purpose does not always have to do with documents you submitted. It could also mean that the reasons you gave for going to Poland to study are not justifiable enough for the VO to make a positive decision on your case.

For example during the interview you are asked:

1. Justify the reasons for going to study in Poland and not online during a pandemic?

2. Why do you want to study in Poland

3. What course do you intend to study?

See how you answer these questions also matter.

If the VO feels like the reasons you provided for traveling to study in Poland during a pandemic and not online we’re not satisfactory enough or justifiable enough she or he may still give you number 8.

Additionally u know some of these courses we choose to go abroad to study are also courses that are available in Nigeria . So guys the burden of proof is on you the visa applicant to provide justifiable reasons why you cannot study your course in Nigeria and would rather travel to Poland to study especially during a pandemic. The reasons you provide MUST be justifiable enough....if the VO feels that your responses were not convincing enough or not justifiable you may also get number 8.
Sometimes they may also hit you with number 10, if they do not believe your reason for going to Poland is for studies.

So yeah so pls note these guys have what they call a visa quota. They cannot give everyone a visa based only on submitted documents....

Another thing to consider is that These guys have guidelines to follow when making a decision. Some of the guidelines they are given are very wide(not specific)...which sometimes allows them to make decisions based on their discretion and unfortunately in their analysis of some visa applications, because they are humans, SOMETIMES they do make errors in judgment...though they won’t admit it....(margin of error maybe only 5%).

Note : Please note I am not a VO and I have not seen what you submitted and I’m not saying this is necessarily your case, but I just want you to keep these things in mind.

Hope this helps......

Pls in this particular case, if it makes he or she sleep better at night then they can go ahead and submit it smiley but my opinion still stays as stated Previously.

Please does the sponsorship letter have to be written on the same day it is notarized ?
Can someone throw more light on this ?

A sponsorship letter should have a date YES but it does not mean that you must Notarize it on the same day you typed it.

In other words I do not believe that the date the sponsor put that he/she typed the letter must match the date it was stamped by the notary .

So for example sponsor can type and date a letter on September 13th and notarize it September 15th. To me I see no problem with this.

Please I have a question, is it necessary to add an extension letter to an appeal? I was denied for number 8 but in my appeal, is it pertinent I add an extension letter? School is Vistula

This is frustrating man

Number 8 does not always mean extension letter is needed. Without reviewing your docs it is impossible to tell you the possible reason / reasons u were given number 8.

Guys pls you cannot just come on the forum and say you were denied for number X what could be the reason . Every case is diff . Without properly reviewing your docs no one can truly say X was the reason for your denial.

Therefore in order to get proper advise on how u may proceed your submitted docs must be reviewed/analyzed.

On whether you should submit extension letter in appeal . It is not necessary in my opinion if the reason for your denial was NOT Bc your resumption date had past.

Moreover, Vistula clearly stated in their acceptance letter that their commencement/resumption date is October 25th. So again in my opinion in this case no need.

I didn't say it had to do with extension letter but then maybe you should read to comprehend instead of reading to reply.

She can even submit her appeal without an extension letter coś she's resuming 25th (Vistula). I'd love to see someone resuming 1st try to submit thiers without it though........ So we can run a little experiment

Like I earlier stated, I wouldn't interfere with your process. I'd just watch and smile

Brotherly na fight ?
We are talking about her case and not other cases na. It’s only this one case we are referring to at this moment. No need for circles.

Embassy now takes note of date on sponsorship letter and notorization. They have returned a couple of people. Try to update yourself on requirements please.

Then the part that you said number 3 has nothing to do with extension letter is a bit true untill the embassy gives fresh denial for number 8 seeing resumption time has gone. I've seen it happen

I'd not interfer with your advise sha, I'd just watch and smile

Let me shock u. Date on sponsorship letter not matching date of notary is NOT the reason for her denial .

chill and await testimony bro. She will be fine smiley

And like I said the reason for her denial is financial related and not justification of her stay . Her stay has been justified already.

On her appeal sure she can submit an extension letter sure though it will not add or subtract anything in this case trust me.

Take note appeals are made on decisions that have already been decided upon.

This is not a retroactive thing!!!! This is an appeal NOT a new application.

As I stated earlier her denial for number 3 has nothing to do with extension letter.

Nairaland has several visa counselors. I’m not one. She can equally take your advice .

I just stated facts and observations. But I’m not the visa consular .

And by the way we should not derive joy(smiles) in others not being successful.

Hello, please i also got denied for number 3 and from my investigation, it looks like my sponsorship letter was the issue because notarization date was different from the date it was signed. My question is when appealing with a a proper sponsorship letter with matching notarization date, do i also need to:
1. Request another certificate of employment from the same sponsor? Even though the embassy still has the other one i submitted?
2. I submitted payslips for may, jun,jul with my first application. Should i submit just August when appealing or resubmit Jun, July and august?
3. Can i add a new sponsor (even though they earn less than the original one) Original was 700k, additional sponsor will be 300k.
4. Do i need an extension letter from school if expected date of arrival is October 1 and lectures commence October 25?

Please I'll appreciate your help on this.
@necz and @blessedendowed, please assist with opinions too if you can

Sorry to hear about your denial. First of All I will tell u flat I believe your denial has NOTHING to do with the date on your sponsorship letter not tallying with the date it was notarized. A sponsor can decide to type out a letter of sponsorship on one day and notarize at a later date . I do not see anything wrong with that and I believe they embassy doesn’t see anything wrong with that either.

On the other hand please note when you get a denial based on number 3. It’s due to ONE of the following reasons:

- Insufficient funds (I.e funds were not enough to cover your expenses)

- embassy was unable to verify your financial documents.

- you did not provide complete financial documents

- you did not provide the correct financial documents

- you provided scan copies of your financial documents instead of the original as requested by the embassy (e.g u provided certificate of employment or CC or sponsorship letter as a scan copy and not the original )

Number 3 has nothing to do with extension letter so please forget about extension letter in your case,

Need to see your financial docs to advise further.
