Chief, Dr Chekwas Okorie, the United Progressive Party Chairman has been petitioned to the inspector general of police, IGP, by the Latter House attorney, for fraud and forgery, acting on behalf of their clients: COGIPAR NIG LTD, DEC OIL & GAS LTD, and DR P. S UGBOMAH. Chief Dr chekwas, is been accused of fraudulently converting to his personal use four vehicles; a TOYOTA HIAACE BUS owned by COGIPAR NIG LTD, a TOYOTA LAND CRUISER owned by DEC OIL & GAS LTD, a TOYOTA TACOMA TRUCK owned by DEC OIL & GAS LTD, and a TOYOTA HILUX PICK-UP TRUCK owned by DEC OIL & GAS all in Port Harcourt, Rivers state Nigeria, with all vehicles engine and chassis number documents included, which were donated as gifts to the party for his own personal use.
He has also been accused of forgery, and deliberately changing the ownership documents of the cars with fake corporate letter headed papers purportedly and allegedly issued by the Managing Director of the companies and for misrepresenting his signatures
The petition has it that in 2014, chief Chekwas was introduced to the clients, through a friend for the purpose of donating vehicles for use for the general elections. The vehicles were delivered as gifts to him, but were later converted to his own personal properties without any mandate or authority from the owners. Chief okorie went ahead and illegally registered the vehicles at different licensing offices in his name and personal capacity, no longer in the name of the political party thereby, defeating the real intentions and frustrating the good wills, objectives, intent and purposes of the gifts
In their displeasure at the illegality, forgery and fraud, the Latter house attorney on behalf of the clients, petitioned the IGP, asking that chief chekwas be investigated to serve as a deterrent to other political jobbers who misrepresent facts for the purpose of deceiving and obtaining gifts from unsuspecting members of the public for their personal enjoyment and aggrandisement.
The clients, have also agreed to make themselves available to the police to help carry out an immediate, thorough, and effective investigation of the offences and breach of trust from Dr Chekwas okorie’s conduct
In the same vein, a port Harcourt business man, has also asked chief Dr okorie to quit his fully furnished property given to him at Asokoro Abuja which was given at will (non paying)
As at the time of this report, the four vehicles have all been recovered from Chief Dr Chekwas house in Enugu, eastern part of Nigeria and are at the police station

The last has not been heard of the purported dismissal and tussle for the leadership of the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God church Nigeria, with new revelations of Forgery, misrepresentation and falsification of the Supreme Court Decision in the case between Rev. Dr. Prof. Paul Emeka Vs Dr. Chidi okoroafor and 18 others, by Barr. Eleazar C. N. Igbokwe of Mastersons solicitors Port Harcourt.
Being in the know, and fully understanding the proceedings that took place in court when the appeal was Unanimuously dismissed, Barr. C N Igbokwe, flagrantly, violated the rules of law when he took up a page in the Guardian Newspaper of Friday, May 26, 2017, Pg. 19 and Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017 Pg. 41, to advertise, publish and erroneously give a purported judgement of a supreme court, upholding a judgement of a court of appeal, crediting the supreme court as; ‘upholding the validity of the meeting where Dr. Emeka was removed, the dismissal and ex communication of Dr Emeka as valid and the General Superintendents rights of the church as not his fundamental rights’, thereby, undermining the due process of law.
The statement of facts of the case is stated vividly in the Nigerian weekly Law Reports, NWLR, August, 2017, Part 1577 (410-423).
It is therefore an anomaly, a breach of trust, court processes and damage to Rev. Dr. Emeka’s image when a Barrister at Law, who is supposedly educated and learned to give an accurate representation and interpretation of the Law, court proceedings, summons and judgements/rulings, begins to misquote, misrepresent, falsify, doctor, forge and recreate in his own opinion, an alleged decision of a competent court of law- the highest court of the Land, THE SUPREME COURT OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA, and publish/advertise same on the pages of a national Newspaper for the whole world to read, thereby, maliciously misleading the entire populace.
Barrister C N Igbokwe, has flagrantly violated the rules of professional conduct FOR Legal Practitioners REF. – Rule 32 (1,& 3) F candid and fair dealing- ‘Rules For Professional Conduct for legal Practitioners, 2007’,-which states: ‘ In appearing in his professional capacity before a court of tribunal, a lawyer shall not deal with the court otherwise than candidly and fairly’, and also that a lawyer shall not ‘knowingly misquote the content of a paper, the testimony of a witness, the language of a decision or a textbook’.
Rev Dr Emeka, aggrieved, has through his attorney Mr feanyichukwu Okonkwo, filed a complaint for Felony and professional misconduct to the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, and the attorney general of the federation. He has also requested they call on him, to expatiate and or furnish them with further information during the investigation of this case of PROFESSIONAL MISCONDUCT AND BREACH OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE ACT, LAWS OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA.

There was drama at the federal high court 1, Enugu under the Honourable Justice Liman, when the hearing of suit no: FHC/EN/CS/120/2017, filed by Dr. Paul Emeka through his attorney Ifeanyichukwu Okonkwo, against:

was called up. The drama started when Mr. Okonkwo pointed out that there was no 20th defendant, that the applicant, the lawyer to the defendants a senior Advocate of Nigeria, Barr Ndiweigwe’s, removal of the parties involved and adding other people he didn’t sue, deciding by himself without permission to make people not sued part of the case an error, a grave error which the SAN conceded to, and corrected himself, as representing defendants 2-11.
The SAN, without addressing the reliefs sought by Dr Paul Emeka, through his attorney Mr okonkwo, had pointed out that the attorney was a layman, not a legal practitioner, and so the court should restrain him from appearing as a ‘Legal Practitioner’ quoting from the Legal practitioners act, section 22, I D
In his response, the ‘Layman’, Mr. Okonkwo, said he had filed his reply in law. He said he had never appeared as a legal practitioner, which the SAN claimed, and could not be caged by a law he is not part of. He gave the instance of the decision of the Supreme Court in the case of, Asafa foods factory Vs Alraine Nig. Ltd. 2002, 12, NWLR, Pt 781, 353, pg 373, which states:
“The position of the law is clear that a person may decide to act by another as his agent and set the benefit or bear the liability of that arrangement. The one who authorizes is the principal while the authorized is the agent. The agent acts as if it is the principal who does act”.
He noted that when the Donee of power of attorney sues on behalf of the Donor, that makes him the agent of the Donor.
He also quoted the Court of appeal decision in Johnson Vs Osay 2001, 9, NWLR, (Pt 719), 729, @ pg 743
“It is not compulsory for a litigant to engage the services of a legal practitioner, as it is not every litigant that can afford the services of one…” and so must not be a reason to deny the plaintiff justice.
The Learned judge, who educated everyone in court, noted that an agent can institute an action through his agent as Justice Salami stated, as if he were there, and a party can either defend his case or decide to donate it to anyone.
He said an attorney can institute a contractual agent under the common law not the statutory act that governs the legal practitioners act. he pointed out that the context of sect 22, of the legal practitioners act, deals extensively in respect to a person who signs as a legal practitioner not an attorney since, okonkwo was not purporting to act as a legal practitioner but a legal representative attorney as his rights as a citizen
He believes Nigeria, is still backwards in this area, while the developed countries are leaping into the 22 century. He believes people should be allowed to defend themselves when not able to engage the services of a lawyer
The case was adjourned to the 9, of March for ruling

Rev. Dr. Paul Emeka Goes Back To Court To Reclaim His Seat And Finish Up His Tenure!
Rev Dr. Paul Emeka, the ousted General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God church, has finally gone back to court at the Federal high court Enugu, in 3 separate suits- suits no: FHC/EN/CS/120/2017,
FHC/EN/CS/121/2017,
FHC/EN/CS/122/2017,
Against 25 persons known as the Defendants, through his attorney, Ifeanyichukwu Okonkwo, claiming a total of 2.8 billion Naira. His grounds are;
that his purported sack and suspension was a sham, and carried out by people who were not even members of the church Incorporated trustees, working with the Corporate Affairs commission who agreed with an illegal instruction and included two others: Rev pastor Ejikeme Ejim and Rev. Godwin Akpan Amaowoh (PhD) as trustees in clear violation of the provisions of board appointment ; sections 597(2) and 599(part c) incorporated trustees companies and Allied matters Act, issuing another certificate CAC/IT/NO/349, 18 April, 2015, against the original certificate CAC/IT/NO/349, 18 September, 2012. Noting that this interruption was outrageous, and merits punishment as it discloses malice fraud, cruelty, flagrant disregard to due process and the rule of law.
that the accounts of the Incorporated trustee of the AG Nigeria was interfered with, and billions of monies withdrawn between the period,15 April 2014 to 24 February, 2017, in the 12 financial institutions listed as Defendants below, therefore praying the institutions through the court to render a financial account of all withdrawals and debits, and return it back by the groups who changed the mandate because, the financial institutions whose duty was to respect the rule of law, flagrantly disregarded due process of the Law, and failed to protect the church assets knowing that Rev, Dr, Paul, was still in court on his dismissal.
That the IGP, Nigerian Police and the Commissioner of Police Enugu state’s takeover of his residence at Ozubulu street, Independence Layout and interference with properties was done in flagrant disrespect to the rule of Law and an Embankment on self-help as they failed to maintain the status quo pending the final judgement of the supreme court in the matter.
The 25 defendants have all being served, and they are yet to respond while a date is yet to be fixed for the hearing
