So here it it! I'm a medical student and just diagnosed of PCOS.
PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) is a ovarian syndrome obviously which is no 1 common syndrome in women, in a group of women gathered you have 21% chance for finding someone with PCOS. symptoms includes irregular or a self Menstruation, weight gain due to insulin resistance, anxiety, depression, insomnia, increased amount of Androgen level which is one of the male hormone causing hair loss (baldness or male hair pattern) or excess hair growth, eating disorders and even frequent mood swings. Complications includes increased risk of having diabetes, heart disease, uterine cancer and infertility. With all the symptoms mentioned above you only need to show 2 to 3 symptoms for you to be diagnosed of PCOS. Now my story is I've had PCOS since high school and wasn't diagnosed of it because it's takes 5 to 6 good doctors to discover a patient with PCOS and for me no one has been able to diagnose me of that until last week that my one of my lecturers called me aside having seen I added 20kg in 2 years, yes you read that right 20kg and probably still going to add more if I didn't use my medication and luckily there are tons of medications for PCOS which includes birth control pills, and Every Woman and the most important which is the one I will be starting soon is METFORMIN. If you think you have PCOS go see a doctor and make sure you it is recommended before you use it. Don't forget to change your diet, drink more water and less sugary drinks.
METFORMIN: Helps to balance your hormone, reduce the weight gained easily, reduced food intake and side effects includes nausea causing you to throw up easily.

The thing is:i'm scared shitless right now. For the past few months I've been having a monthly series of flu sickness. I mean every month for over 5months now. The one I'm currently experiencing now has just got me very much scared. Below are the things I'm experiencing now:
- Flu(whooping cough and catarrh)
- Sleepless nights
- Loss of appetite
- Weight loss
- Body vibration
- Tiredness
- Stooling (Diarrhea)
- Headache
- Fever
I've read about the fact that most of the above are possible symptoms of the hiv virus and anytime I think of the possibility of me being (i can't even mention it) ,i just feel like dying. Yes I've been living a very promiscuous lifestyle and its more reason for me to be scared of doing a test. Although I've done it before in 2014 and it was negative but since then, there have been a lot of sexcapades. Which brings me to my question directed to doctors or health practitioners : "Is there any other sickness that can be related to those symptoms above apart from Hiv? "
To those with the virus already I'd like to ask: "Did you experience something like that before you were confirmed as positive? "
Ps: I treated malaria last month by the way.
Pss: For all those that will eventually advise me to get a hiv test, save your advise. When last did you do yours? Yes i know that the only way to be sure is to get tested but c'mon guys, una know how e be na.

Some people need to learn that NL is not a hospital for you health only a hospital for posts on front page. Now back to your question. I see symptoms of Anemia it might be something else so go tested in the hospital.

Back to tha topic, he has to spend some time in a family house setting. Probably his relatives or a friend. Secondly he has to get married to a very good homely lady. A lady that understands the virtues of motherhood and taking care of her home. So he has to avoid the city ladies or open eye babes in nairaland, and search for the reserved up and doing lady from a rural setting. Am talking from experience ooh cos very few city ladies make good wifes.
Furthermore he has to change that notion of baby mama drama, let him think positively about life. And Lastly, Marriage is not by force, baby mama is not by force either, enjoy yiur single life, adopt a kid and die.. Afterall no one lives more than 90 something these days, so why should we carry life matter ontop our head like agege bread

I think he has to spend more time is a God fearing family. Probably watch his pastor's family and try as much as possible to understand why some sacrifices are made, he should look around him and try to take note of the reasons men wants a woman to be happy excluding the sexual part of it. Try to look at what and why mother's fight strangers for their kids and take note of a father -daughter relationship, mother -son relationship, brother - brother and Sister -brother. The first one which is father - daughter relationship is more important to him cos that will help him know how and why ladies are treated the way they are. He should also get a lady with good home training and full of respect then put himself up to a task that no matter what happens the relationship should get to a year at least. With all these he will understand family ties.
