wolesmile:Those are the lies they tell Africans so we can condemn our own countries and run to their own. The aim is human intelligence harvesting. They want you to come there so they can harvest your intelligence for their own good. Why do you think America is made up of people from practically every nation of the world? Same trick played on every nation. They always have something terrible to say about every nation except themselves |
Fvckmoderators:But Good luck Jonathan said "Boko Haram are our siblings" |
daddytime:Lmao collateral damage from a disgruntled citizen. |
daddytime:Correct! You never know where the next mass shooting would occur same way you never know where the next bomb blast would occur. The difference is that they have much more mass shootings than any African country has bomb blasts |
rusher14:That red dots showing deaths in that image looks like a very angry rash |
They praise their country while belittling yours and you clap for them because you hate your president when even their records show that their own country and president have worse records when it comes to securing human life. |
An almost 24,000 suicide count for 2019 alone. Buhari must have caused it don't you think so? |
rusher14:Facts don't lie |
They have recorded a whopping 409 mass shootings in 2019 alone which means they have had over one mass shooting incident every day of the year and this could be compared to having more than one bomb blast daily for every day of the year. Has this been the case for Nigeria or other African countries? Yet they say we are unsafe while they are safe. |
The data shows that there has been about 70,000 gun related deaths in USA in 2019 alone which is a much higher number than deaths caused by terrorism in Nigeria from 2015 to 2019. Can we than say USA is a hypocritical country? YES WE CAN. They tag Nigeria and other African countries as unsafe while their own records show they are worse |
As we all know there is a loud shout from USA about how unsafe Nigeria is but nobody gets to talk about how safe or unsafe the USA is or has become. Well Gun Violence Archives reveals data that leaves many wondering if USA should not be on the list of most dangerous countries to travel to as a warning to travellers. Mynd44, Lalasticlala, OAM4J

2019 has ended super well for this elderly couple and 2020 is about to usher them into awesome riches. |
France has banned a woman from selling a valuable piece of 13th century artwork found hanging in her kitchen to a foreign buyer. The artwork by Florentine artist Cimabue, titled Christ Mocked, had initially been sold for more than €24million (£20.5m) to US-based collectors. It had for decades hung above the oven of an elderly French woman and its owner had considered it of little importance. https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2019/09/24/12/18865504-7498341-image-a-50_1569323345446.jpg https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2019/12/24/15/22631042-7824875-image-m-73_1577199845553.jpg The unsigned work was sold at auction in October to US-based private collectors, but the French government has blocked the sale after this week classifying the artwork as a 'national treasure'. France now has 30 months to come up with the funds to acquire the painting itself. Culture minister Franck Riester said the export block 'gives us the time to mobilise all efforts for this exceptional work to enrich our national collections'. The culture ministry hopes to acquire the painting so it can join Santa Trinita Maestà, another, much larger, piece of art by Cimabue housed in the Louvre. https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2019/12/24/15/20251084-7824875-Cimabue_is_widely_considered_the_forefather_of_the_Italian_Renai-a-2_1577201905325.jpg Auctioneer Philomène Wolf spotted the painting in June while inspecting the woman's house in Compiegne in northern France. The owners had apparently assumed it was a Russian icon whose colours had faded. The painting "Christ Mocked", a long-lost masterpiece by Florentine Renaissance artist Cimabue in the late 13th century +4 The painting 'Christ Mocked', a long-lost masterpiece by Florentine Renaissance artist Cimabue in the late 13th century Wolf suggested she bring it to experts for an evaluation. The small painting, titled Christ Mocked, measures about 10in by 8in (24cm by 20cm). Art experts say it is probably part of a larger diptych that Cimabue painted in around 1280, of which two other panels are displayed at the Frick Collection in New York and the National Gallery in London. The painting's discovery sent ripples of excitement through the art world. Cimabue, who taught Italian master Giotto, is widely considered the forefather of the Italian Renaissance. He broke from the Byzantine style popular in the Middle Ages and began to incorporate elements of movement and perspective that came to characterise Western painting. Specialists at the Turquin gallery in Paris initially examined the painting and concluded with 'certitude' that it bore the hallmarks of Cimabue. Stephane Pinta, an art specialist with the Turquin, pointed to likenesses in facial expressions and buildings, as well as the painter's techniques for conveying light and distance. https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2019/12/24/15/22631044-7824875-image-a-75_1577200255587.jpg https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7824875/France-bans-woman-selling-24m-euro-french-artwork-hanging-kitchen.html?ito=social-twitter_mailonline Mynd44, Lalasticlala

BREAKING NEWS: In a joint press conference with President Macron of France, President Ouattara of Ivory Coast has announced that 8 African Countries will no longer use the CFA currency. It will be replaced by the ECO. No longer will 50% of the reserves be held by French treasury The Currency will still be pegged against the Euro it seems, more details still coming in. Apparently France’s representatives at Central Bank of West African States/ Banque Centrale des États de l'Afrique de l'Ouest, are to leave. Modified The CFA franc received its coup de grace Saturday, December 21, a few days before the sixtieth anniversary of independence. Emmanuel Macron and Alassane Ouattara announced in Abidjan the disappearance of the Franc from the Financial Community in Africa. He was born in 1945 under the name of Franc of the French colonies of Africa. Another time. “It was by hearing your youth that I wanted to initiate this reform. The CFA Franc crystallizes many criticisms of France. I see your youth which criticizes us for a relationship which it considers post-colonial. So let's break the moorings, " said Emmanuel Macron, signifying that he had been the initiator of this" historic "advance. At his side, the Ivorian head of state, Alassane Ouattara, wanted to clarify that "it is a decision taken in full sovereignty". Disowned by a growing part of the opinions of the continent who saw in him one of the last slag of Françafrique, the political cost of this currency became too heavy for the French head of state who, since his arrival at the Elysee displays the will to build a new postcolonial relationship with African countries. The "CFA" is dead. It must be replaced by 2020 by a new currency: the Eco. The change should currently concern only the eight countries of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU): Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, Mali , Niger, Senegal and Togo. Central Africa remaining for the time being kept aside. If this change of name can in certain respects seem to play mainly symbolic, the transformation does not stop there. It is accompanied by two important technical reforms which should calm critics. First, the operating account at the Banque de France is deleted, and moreover the French representatives sitting on the bodies of the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO) will be withdrawn. According to the monetary agreements so far in force, the WAEMU States have the obligation to store at least 50% of their foreign exchange reserves at the Banque de France in return for a convertibility guarantee with the Euro. In 2015, they transferred 19 billion euros to this account. "It fueled all the fantasies about African gold bars kept in coffers in Paris," said the entourage of the French president. That said, despite the disappearance of the CFA, some of its fundamentals will remain since the Eco will maintain a fixed parity with the Euro and its convertibility guarantee will still be provided by the Banque de France. Negotiations since June From a good source, negotiations to achieve this reform had started in June with the greatest confidentiality between MM. Macron and Ouattara, President-in-Office of WAEMU. "They agreed that there was a window of opportunity before the election year in Côte d'Ivoire", adds the French source previously cited. In recent days, when the idea of a major development on this currency was rumored, Ivorian and French leaders remained silent, engaging in a consummate art of the tongue of wood. While voices ranging from African heads of state such as the Chadian Idriss Déby or the Beninese Patrice Talon to polemists like Kemi Seba called for a global challenge, Alassane Ouattara has always been reserved on a major reform, considering that the "CFA" pegged to the Euro was the guarantee of controlled inflation. “The acceleration of the dynamics of monetary integration in West Africa to acquire a single currency in 2020 was decisive for achieving this progress. Only, the operating account in Paris and the French presence in the banking authorities were a foil for the English-speaking countries of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) " comments a source at the Elysee. Ghana is clearly on target. Nigeria, on the other hand, looks like a terrifying ogre for the fourteen other member states of the zone, since this giant of the region alone accounts for 60% of ECOWAS GDP. The idea developed by Paris and Abidjan is that French-speaking countries, members of UEMOA, be“The foundation of this monetary integration on which the anglophone and lusophone countries of the region can be grafted. " Defender of the CFA, considering that it penalizes the industrialization and the exports of African economies, the economist Carlos Lopes judges that “the change occurred is the fruit of a welcome political opportunism. It does not correspond to the initial idea of a regional single currency but it is the best way to evolve.
