i find the meals served in typical canteens okay, but this would greatly depend on individuals due to preferences. Expect to spend $7-$10 for a meal.

This all depends on what visa/status you'll be coming in as. I'm assuming you're coming as a skilled worker ? I've never lived in Lethbridge, but as a newcomer I wouldn't go to a small town. I'd go to a decent size city. You'll need the networking to eventually reach your goals. Plus I personally wouldn't raise my children in a small town. Honestly I can't give you an answer regarding a career path. I would come to either Edmonton or Calgary. Try to get my qualifications recognized, then go from there. You'll meet new people and start to network. From there you'll learn a lot about the country then start to decide which path you can go. As for which city to go, I'd go to Edmonton before Calgary. I feel there are more opportunities there. Calgary is more white collar. Edmonton more blue collar.

I submitted and paid for my application yesterday morning using my friends Bank Of America card. I got a transaction decline message while application page got stuck on ''payment processing''. The Bank sent a message to my friend to authorize which he did and he has seen the amount debited in his account. However, my status changed to ''continue application'' again and still same as I write now meaning application is not submitted yet.

Should it still be so?, I thought the status should have changed, probably to application submitted and payment received while I get the payment receipt. The main challenge is that I have as at now just 2days remaining to the submission deadline. Is the submission not happening or payment not reflecting because it is a weekend?? What can I do to solve this before the 2days deadline??

Ask ur friend to check his account very well cos it may have been reversed. U need to resubmit and make payment as it was declined

Just what I was about to type when I noticed you already did! We r one month behind in Naija, May Indians are getting PPR while April Nigerians are getting PPR.

Maybe there are more security checks to conduct for Nigerian applicants.

Any which way, we are all going to touch down in Canada this year.

It's a factor of wch vo ur file was distributed to for processing. Most Indians were given Ottawa n even some Nigerians. They work faster there, so u can ring up cic to find out were urs is being processed

Well I read the GCMS notes and al they said is that the police certificate from naija did not meet R10 requirements. "File does not meet r10 requirements" That is exactly what they said in the notes.
What are the R10 requirements? does anybody know?

You can indicate he isn't taking d test and wes when building ya EE profile, I think all assessments will then be done by you. But if you do not like d final crs scores you get at d end, u can then persuade bros to do d exams and wes for additional points. Thereafter, you can get a new profile to reflect those

How long did it take for the payment after submission of eAPR to reflect? I just submitted mine and the page said DECLINED - TRANSACTION NOT APPROVED and the note below indicating "Call for Authorization" but the eAPR profile says Payment Processing. I read something about it taking 24 hours to reflect just before I submitted.

Your payment hasn't gone through, u need to call the card's bank for authorization of d payment

He can land during his vacation and get back to work. Use d period to search for a better work in canny; but where at d end of 3yrs nothing, he can apply for study leave and use d 2yrs to satisfy pr requirements. That's wat mine is planning.

Congrats on your med passed. Your AOR caught my attention - just about 2 weeks from ITA! That's remarkable.

I'd like to think most of your documents were handy before ITA, do you mind sharing ideas as to how you achieved this?

Recipients of ITA in your draw are still within the 90 days submission period, some are still gathering documents while some are waiting for POF to mature, my guy here don already pass medical!

Your post as well as @Mire222 post reechoes the fact that planning is sure critical to achieving success, and in time.

Tnx for your post. Yes I was over prepared and had all the docs at hand before I created the EE profile. This is my second attempt at it; I guess I learnt from my first experience.
I got my qualifications and hubby's evaluated back in 2015, believe me, we went thru the whole long wait and stress with wes. Thereafter, got ielts (7,7,7.5,6.5) but went under hubby cos of his noc being in demand back then. And got cornered in by David cohen where we wasted our precious $1900 for them to only update our profile with a miserly 385 crs score.
I was bitter, had issues with hubby and he lost interest. But I decided to push on and try one last time. Actually promised him that I'll never bring it up if this fails, he agreed to retry it with me. My dear, we read and practiced ielts for 2weeks in April 2017 straight; ate it, slept it, and dined. God blessed our efforts as we both landed scores of 8: s8.5, r8, l8.5w7. With hubby being over 40 by now, it fell on me to create d profile.
I no lie oo, I researched for months, from beginning of year till I submitted. I never slept at night before 2am, hubby wan kolo sef hahahhaa.
I realized it's quiet easy if you put your mind to it: my tips would be:
1. Learn to read and reserach, everything you need is on Google.
2. Pay attention to details esp the ? Signs when filling out the forms; read and re-read instructions.
3. Scan and save ur docs and label them appropriately according to placeholder titles on the e-apr. believe me, this prevents mix up wen uploading.
4. Join forums, don't be quick to type much but more of reading and questioning. Note down points as applicable to ur situation. Save links.
5. Before uploading, pls pls go over a million times making sure u have everything in color and all place holders uploaded.
6. Once in pool there's nothing more you can do than to pray and commit to God. In my case, I believe God had me covered and then #olowogbogboro came along at the right time.
7. Start saving money from when u decide to apply, create a lot of out and in activities in ur account. If going to borrow money from people, let that come in months ahead.
8. Don't give excess details on ya EE profile cos you have to prove all that. Keep it simple and straight forward.
9. Familiarize ya self with where to do ya meds, take ya ielts and wes. I even did bookings for Med long before ita. Kept rescheduling till I had it.
10. Stick to the basic requirement of pof which is a ref letter from the bank probably plus FDA or Tnx only. You no need long long thing oo.
11. I read somewhere to attract oinp noi, create ya profile near friday cos they issue noi mostly on fridays.
