For goodness sake mode is a hip hop artist and a fuji artist and we all know how hip hop artist of today dress. Wether he's trying to dress down or simply for the fact that he doesn't have anything better to wear, that his outfit simply aint working for me. By the way, is that not head warmer he's wearing in dat pix. If he steps out of that studio and goes into the sun to board a bus home, wont he be wearing it. I mean wearing head warmer under the sun.

If u observed closely in my post, i did say that Mode improved a bit in terms of style and delivery in PS but still needs to do more. I say this cos i'm already getting tired of listening to PS after barely two months and that shouldn't be cos i know there are albums i've been listening to for yrs now and i still cant get enough of them. I still listen to PS cos of the content of some tracks in the album not cos i particularly like the way he raps. My opinion though.

Tosin u layed a trap for Khanye and the dude simpy jumped into it with both legs. The topic is who says rugged cant rap, and khnye thats blinded by beef couldn't wait for his brain to boot b4 responding. They are busy looking for sick lines, as though all poetry are meant to be complex. What about style and delivery? Most modern poetry are simply and straight to the point. When rugged raps, his target audience is majority of 9jas and most 9jas are not poets.

Both ways. Party or no party, let the song make sense to me.

I like Faze and what he has been able to do for himself but i must say here that Independent is better than originality. I like some songs on originality but most i dont feel. Unstopable is better than originality. 2face try for this album not to small. Thats all i have to say.

Khanye i know u only started this thread just to do wht u'er only good @ and i think most times it's not good to dignify your tantrums with a response but i have to do it with hope that one day you'll change. What point are all u so called Mode fans trying to prove? Why are u guys trying so hard to prove that point? What's really wrong with your head Khanye? Just lik mode9 your what ever, you guys are always the first to start a quarel for no cause. I went to the fan groups of both mode and rugged at facebok and i noticed that the so called fans of mode were busy writting sh, t about rugged while rugged's fans were busy appreciating the rugged's music. I know it's ur desire to see mode grow, i also desire same for him but he can only blow if he try's to make the kind of music that apeals to the majority, except your trying to tell me he's not skilled at doing that.

My vote goes to Tosin. He's very visible, funny, sensible and 99% on point. Tosin all the way.

Tosin i thought we should be together on this. E be like say u never observe say most Nigerians prefere what they see on tv to what they hear on radio. Most people i asked of Gino only know no be God and farabale cos those two have videos. Most of those other great songs on the album will go unnoticed my the majority. That'll be a big shame. And i atill stand by my word that not releasing video compilation will amount to betrayal cos they owe it to us their fans to keep to their promise. Thank u.

Khanye truth be told, you and all u so called mode fans are real trouble. U all are always quick to insult and abuse, calling people wack. U keep saying dat rugged's thy album come was 90% beef but as far as i know only ehen and big bros was a beef or diss track, the rest were not. Mode new album is filled with more violent and hate words than u can ever get in rugged's album. It's okay to like mode cos most of us do, but try to always tell the truth. Dont allow hate to blind ur sense of reasoning.

I already have MI's album and the guy did well. I'm one of the peope that had been anticipating his album. I dont know but should i call him 9ja lil wayne cos of his style.

I heard Alabai voice on Paul play's album. Pls who is that guy and do have his tracks? I need them. I wonder y guys like dat dont release albums.

What u said about mode being monotonous is true. Inshort that was y i didn't listen to much of his tracks cos by the time u listen to 3 u discover they all sound alike, only beat and content changed, the style remains the same through out the whole tracks, it was boring,  but he kind of improved on this new album. But when it comes to switching styles, he's still far from the likes of Rugged and Gino. Those two guys can switch styles many times on one track and each track sounds different. That gives pleasure and thats why i root for them.

Tank u 4 those lines. I've said it that if you listen well to dat track 22 u'll discover the diss lines are very elementry. That aspect of Rugged claiming to be rich but still skinny is a very lame thing to say. How could mode who claims to be very profound use those lines? Yet his so called fans who are doing more damage than good to Mode him keep prancing around NL with that line. That line alone totally made a mess of the rest of the other lame lines. So Mode rather than concentrate on his career is busy going about town looking 4 gossips on Rugged. Too bad. If he had artists looking for him to do colabo and event promoter looking for him for shows like Rugged, he wont have time to go round looking 4 gossips. That shows how jobless he is. Why yab rugged with head warmer when he goes about town under the sun with heavy jacket, big jean pants and timberland boots. Sorry i dnt agree with that track. There are better tracks on the album.

Gino and Ruggedman released their album since 2007 and i hear they are both currently working on new albums respectively. Rugged has released a single from his up coming album titled banging and Gino has a track from his up coming album called swing and swager featuring Pype which i got from his myspace page and have been enjoying the track for some months now. Both tracks are nice dance tracks. The problem i have with them right now is that they both promised to release video collection of their albums but till now they've not done it, yet they'er working on a new album. Tell them that if they release a new album without releasing thier video collection it will amount to betrayal. We their fans know that they might be having problems choosing which video to shoot and which to leave out cos all their track are great, and in the case of Gino, he'll like to shoot a one in town video. Tell them we dont care, they should just release the damn videos. Thank u.

I've listened to a lot hip hop album in 9ja and the latest effort my mode is one of my best for now. I judge album not by one track but by the whole content. When i listen to an album and keep skiping tracks, definitly that album cant be one of my best. Paradigm shift i play with out skiping tracks unlike his last effort b4 this one where i had to skip a lot of tracks. Ive always rooted for Rugged, Gino, Naeto C and MI but with this new album, Mode has bought me over.
I also agree with the person that said that certian styls of rap are bettter when it comes to doing dance tracks. For instance Gino's style is laid back, Naeto C is easy rap, Mode is classic style but Rugged's style goes with dance beat any day. They are all unique in their styles and that is why we love them, and we know that given a good beat and hook, they can all do dance track, but some styles will go better with dance beat.
I love the whole tracks but nine remains my fav 4 now.

I go recomend NL music section to all these our oyinbo celebrity were undergo one therapy after the other for depresion and other so many mad disease. If they come here, their problem done soleve.

Though i dont have the album here with me, i know i like all the tracks but the one i'm feeling most is emm i think it's track 15 "mode 9". I live that track. Jesse Jags did a good job with the beats. But i dont know why the girl that took the chorus was not named in the track. I think the girl did a good job.

Ola u'er in the thread. We'er here to review not insult. Tell us what u think of the album and what u like about the album with instances from diffrent tracks on the album.

I dont have the album in my laptop, i only play it when i get home, so before i can really give give a sound critical review of the album i have to have it beside me, so for now, till tomoro. But that not withstanding, i have to agree to some of the things u said. The album is mostly filled with the usual mode arogance, boasting and puchlines. I've often asked myself if i'm sure mode can actually do a dance track, or is he hiding his inability behind the keeping it real thing. Finally my silent question has been answered. Mode's style of rap can never suit dance track. I'm afraid but where is the versertility?

Rugged no be my brother, mode no be my enemy. I personal like mode's music but simply prefers rugged's music, freestyling or no freestyling. Rugged has personality and i like his business sense. Who no wan get money for young age, especially if the money legit. We just dey advice the dude make try make him music serve am, no be 4 him to serve him music . My sister talent just dey waste for dia. He wan keepam real, oya na make him dey dia make others dey grab the money.

To some extend i think mode is selfish. He's only interested in satisfying himself and not majority of Nigerians. Rugged was told he cant do a dance track and he came out with baraje. People have been begging mode, give us a club bangger and his dulling. Minwhile he dances to konga aso. Why cant he just give us a dance track, afterall all the top rappers 2pac, biggie and nas all have dance tracks. When nas comes this weekend he'll definitely do that track he did with P Diddi and i tell you, that's the one people will feel most. Nelly will bring down the house with his variose club bangers.
