Music/RadioRe: Ruggedman Wins In Nmva Awards by blinx(m): 2:56pm On Dec 11, 2008
Khanye i checked u out and i discovered u've been a member on NL for less than 2 week but i can see that your only aim is to make your self as popular and relevant in the music section as Tosin, Javalove, Chasisgirl, Preseca. You even want to out post them. You can have it. You'er now popular in NL music section but i dont know how relevant.
Music/RadioRe: Ruggedman Wins In Nmva Awards by blinx(m): 2:36pm On Dec 11, 2008
Kahnye i want you to see what Damie is say as an advice not an insult. Simply use your head boy.
Music/RadioRe: M.I/Mr Incredible - Strong Numbers for Alaba Market by blinx(m): 2:15pm On Dec 11, 2008
I dont doubt the fact that MI will sell well. People love him. I've seen him grace a couple good events dressed in his suit.
MI for now wont battle Mode cos during the last WAPI that held at British Council in Abuja, MI was seriosely hailing mode, so i believe they'er friends. Jesse Jags, the younger brother of MI produced one of the best tracks on mode's new album.
That aside, i didn't know the album was out but now that i know i'll buy mine today. It's also funny cos i heard one of MI's track on radio that he did with the 7 star general, Pype, and that track was a party track, yet MI was hailing mode, encouraging him to keep doing classic. With that party track by MI and the fact that people love him will make him rock far more shows than mode.
Music/RadioRe: Ruggedman Wins In Nmva Awards by blinx(m): 1:35pm On Dec 11, 2008
Khanye and Javalove, i've seen the freestyle session on youtube and i must confess that Mode was better. At a point rugged didn't even know what to say. I think mode takes freestyling too seriosely unlike rugged, and according to mode, freestyling is the only way one can prove his mettle in the game of rap, good for him.
Now people when it comes to composing, guys, rugged is better. Rugged comes out with tracks that are easy to relate with. Rugged was wise to make bangging a party track cos in that way, more people will pay it, more fm stations will play it. Khanye and Java when u want to dance, is it not dance track you dance to? or are trying to tell me you dont dance? Rugged understnds this game better.

Please guys, on rugged's cloth launch, he cleared the air on that speak for shoe maker and mechanic stuff. He said when he talks about speaking for shoe maker and mechanic he means every body that is out there on the street trying to survive. So Khanye and Javalove, he speaks for u cos i believe u'er out there trying to survive.
Now another angle to this rugged mode beef. If you listen to the "follow your hearth" track on mode's new album, you'll discover the dude was badly let downby ?mark record. He also said no more freebees for everybody including friends from way back. Mode has decided to take this rap game seriosely; he has become very ambitious and he sees rugged as his ambition, and that's why he wants to tupple rugged.
Music/RadioRe: Etcetera New Naija Alternative/hip Hop/rock Star: by blinx(m): 12:55pm On Dec 11, 2008
I once started a topic on Etcetera but guys were more interested in talking about the usual people, rugged, mode, faze, 2face, 9ice and the rest of them, so i'll be very happy to comment on Etcetera. I bought the album as soon as it came out and out of the 15 tracks on the album i have 14 on my phone and i listen to them every day. The only one i dont have on my phone is mitchel remix ft six 0. The album is simply great. All the track i love but my favorites are
"hey j,
daughter of eve,
biafra,
good evening street,
miss his i v ,
this is not a song,
mitchel,
love should last,
photogragh of my thoughts,
life for you,
on the last bus to nowhere."
Simply put, the album is just great.
Music/RadioRe: The Popularity Thread by blinx(m): 2:05pm On Dec 10, 2008
I bought Sanchez's album but didn't play it for long cos most of his tracks sounds alike, but i still like that pick it up track.

I like Etcetera, the whole album. He's not talked about here but i bilieve he rocks shows and events.
I like TJ, the guy that did elewe ukwu. His album is tight but he's not talked about here but i think the guy rocks shows.
Music/RadioRe: Review Of Modenine's Album: Emphasis On Track 22:death Blow by blinx(m): 1:50pm On Dec 10, 2008
OLA, if talking to u wasn't for rugged, how come bangging is for mode? angry As a mode fan i expect u to be very inteligent. Please make inteligent posts. I dont mean to insult but u check am, how you see that ur post?
Music/RadioRe: South Africa's Bad Belle Verdict On The Mtv Music Award (mamas) In Nigeria! by blinx(m): 1:27pm On Dec 10, 2008
I was at the show and i must say that all that the writer wrote was true except the part about the food. the show started late. while coming in i saw Naeto C in  a jeep at the gate and u cant believe the dude couldn't get in. i got around to the venue around 7pm with my friends and the main gate was locked and you need to see the crowd at the gate with their tickets. we had to force the gate open and when we finally got in the entrance to the hall was also locked and people were kept outside with their tickets in their hands. One girl that came with VIP ticket was really complaining cos with her VIP ticket, she was made to stand on the line like the rest of us. IT was that bad, though we can excus them a bit cos it was the first time and you and i know say 9ja no easy.
IT took a long time for us to finally get in and when we did, behold the show hadn't even started. But finally the show started and the first to perform was I Go Die and people, we were not hearing a word he was saying, only those that were standing in front of the stage must have heard what he was saying. The sound was only better when the artists performed but when someone is giving a speech, you wont hear a damn thing. But the whole performances was world class. The crowd went wild with konga aso but i thing Asa's performance was the best cost she used real instruments and real instrumentalists. Others had a DJ spining out the beats for them.
Music/RadioRe: Had To Do This "death Blow (coup De Grace) Pt. 1 - Mode 9 by blinx(m): 1:02pm On Dec 10, 2008
lets assume we are all co-tenants on NL and some tenants decide to forment trouble, cant i sue for peace, especially if the trouble makers keep coming with the same kind of trouble. Wont u get bored and tired. There is a saying, spoil your enemy with love and you confuse them. I just want them to feel that they have won, and i bet you they wont know what to say next cos their life depends on making trouble. If they cant find who to trouble they'll fade away naturally wink.
Music/RadioRe: Had To Do This "death Blow (coup De Grace) Pt. 1 - Mode 9 by blinx(m): 12:19pm On Dec 10, 2008
Pls khanye, javalove an the rest of all you so called mode9 fan should hear this, i give up, let mode9 carry the win and win. Pls mode is bettre than rugged undecided. Why do u guys keep going on and on with all these. Pls it's becoming boring. And in other for us all to have some peace on LN, i've discused with all rugged fans and they said i should tell u that mode is too much. Inshort he is the best. Can there be peace now.
Music/RadioRe: Ruggedman Wins In Nmva Awards by blinx(m): 11:24am On Dec 10, 2008
Let the polls be conducted again an Rugged will still win. Mode is only huge on NL as a result of a few individuals. I've told all these so called mode fans to leave rugged alone, that guy has done nothing to them. Rugged is good, mode is. Ruged has his style, a more contemprary like Ludacris and Eminem, while mode has his style more of classic style but rugged understands 9ja music more than mode and thats where rugged has an edge over mode. I dont have to say this again and i'm really tired of mode fans disturbing the peace of NL with their hate posts. Please!

I think your post is a breath of fresh air. I like u already. Keep coming with post like this and gradually we can make NL and the whole society a better place. wink smiley cheesy grin
Music/RadioRe: Had To Do This "death Blow (coup De Grace) Pt. 1 - Mode 9 by blinx(m): 1:35am On Dec 07, 2008
It's good that some has made mode very popular on nairaland but how popular is he on the streets. Please lets face it, mode is only big on NL.
This death blow track that seems to be huge on NL, how many times has it been aired on radio, or better still how many tracks from the album is blazing the air waves? Hardly any, rather we here tracks from yet to be lereased MI's album burning the air waves.
As for some rugged fans that feel that mode has drown more blood and that any response from rugged will lead to his demise should know that the few people i've talked to that have worked with rugged told me the guy is a warrior. That nothing moves that dude. I strongly believe rugged will respond but b4 doing that, he'll play a little mind game with mode.
Mode said maintain is richer than rugged. I'll ask again. Who is the biggest rapper in 9ja? we know the ansa. Mode should know that singers with hit tracks make more money in 9ja. But when it comes to rappers, rugged has been most successful and i believe that if rugged should another baraje, he'll make more money.
I still prefer rugged.
Music/RadioRe: Ruggedman Wins In Nmva Awards by blinx(m): 12:18am On Dec 07, 2008
I also think that all these abuses thrown at ourselves and at artits is totally uncalled for. Just say what u want to say and 4get abuses. Though mode's fan are the more guilty one, they seem to always start it, just the same way mode started all this beef stuff between him and rugged. Let's stop it.
Music/RadioRe: Ruggedman Wins In Nmva Awards by blinx(m): 12:13am On Dec 07, 2008
yeh i got that head warmer thing from that death blow track but what i dont understand is despite modey's inteligence, he refuded to remove the log from his eyes b4 talking about the little speck on rugged'd eye. Mode 9 is always heavily dressed with big jean jackets and big jean pants, and some time big shirts with hood, yet he's talking about some body that wears only head warmer. And let me say this, though his new album is an improvement, i still prefere rugged's delivery on banging to any thing on paradigm shift. Mode might have been more poetic and all but when it comes to delivery, rugged was on point. Thank u very much.
Music/RadioRe: Pls Who Is Modenine Talking To by blinx(m): 4:13pm On Dec 03, 2008
that person that said that 9ice won best african act should understand that in 9ja singers make more money. 9ice was wise enough to take the advice of kabasa and went into singing instead of rapping. All the a list acts in this country like psquare, d bang, olu maintain, 9ice, faze, 2face, KC Presh and a few others are all singers. The only rapper in the a list is rugged but cats like Naeto C and MI are gradually making it into the a list. Mode is yet to make it into the a list. Mode said that Rugged brags that he has money but olu maintain is richer than him. Point of currection, Olu is a singer. Which rap act has made more more than rugged? None.
Some mode fans are talking about Rugged dissing mode but truth be told, mode started it all, and really wonder why mode has singled out rugged for destruction without provocation.
I noticed that some Rugged fans after listning to mode's became scared. I strongly believe that is this battle, Rugged will come tops.
mode fans have been talking about mind game but i think it's time for rugged to play a few mind game with mode. Rugged might not reply now. He may release his videos, while that one is selling he'll be monitoring what mode will reap from dissing him and definitely it wont be much. Then rugged will come out with a befiting response. Talking to u wasn't a decoy, i think bangging was the decoy.
Rugged should come out with another baraje. wine your waist for me, jusile, rock da spot and wont battle were good but we need another baraje. Even the haters will dance to it.
Music/RadioRe: Pls Who Is Modenine Talking To by blinx(m): 2:51pm On Nov 30, 2008
I finally saw the album and bought it and I must confess I like a lot of track on the album but that does mean I’m placing him above rugged, Gino, MI, Jesse Jags. But I think he took my advice and used some nice beats and rapped in different styles in different tracks and equally switched styles in different tracks and did some little fast rap. In general It’s a good hard core album but what next for him? How many shows can it get him? I’m not a rapper, I listen to music for entertainment and I still don’t see much of that in this new album but at least there is an improvement, may be cos of the beats. Tracks like “my skin is black, bush girl, forbidden love and green passport” has something to say but the rest is the usual hip hop bragging. I like the track “nine” produced by Jesse but how come the girl that took that chorus was not named in the track. One more thing, I think mode should stop doing his chorus, let him allow people do it for him cos the tracks that had other people do the chorus were better.
Mode said he has some incriminating materail on rugged. What? Fraud? Drugs? what?
Jafar, Nomolose, Paul play, etc, everybody did their thing together, got big and started doing their thing individually but are still friends. Atleast that's what i think, atleast i saw that Silly guy that looks like the younger brother of Jafar t Rugged's cloth launch.
As for the rugged sellout, some might not get all they want from rugged and decide to smell mouth. Was mode not complaining about Qmark in one of his tracks.
Music/RadioRe: Pls Who Is Modenine Talking To by blinx(m): 11:07am On Nov 29, 2008
i know that Rugged will be somewhere wondering y the hell this Mode guy is always going out of his way to diss him. First of all rugged knows that mode is a good rapper that was y when mode did that "turon giwa" track in his last album, and obviosly he was talking to rugged in that track, rugged responded with "my life" and in track he told mode that it's not enough for him to say his flow is tight, it's not enough for him to say his show is good, it's not enough for to free style and battle but when it comes to achievement can he rattle. From that response you'll see that rugged agrees that mode is tight but aside that what else can he say for himself. Rugged has never said he's the best, all he says is that he is the biggest and he has done much for the industry. Look at Kaffi, 9ice, Durela, Cmion, Morel and a host of others. Rugged helped them find their feet. Who has mode really helped. Even 9ice confessed that initially he didn't like rugged cos rugged came out dissing guys but that same rugged paid him for the track ruggedybaba and was taking him round the country for shows and giving him tips on how to make it. Today 9ice is made. The list goes on. Many will rather feature rugged than mode. I keep saying i like mode but prefere rugged. I've not seen mode's new album. Once i see it i'll buy it and enjoy the ones i like. I also think that mode is tired of bieng broke and wants to hammer by calling rugged's name in his track, but i've always said that the day mode goes as far as calling rugged's name, that will be the end cos i trust rugged to do almost a full album addressing the topic Mode 9.
Music/RadioRe: Who The Hell Is This Gino Guy by blinx(op): 10:22am On Aug 28, 2008
i think i have to agree with WurdSmith. the whole albums is tite but it gets tighter when u listen to tracks like i'll show u, dont wanna live, lord have mercy, dat no be lie, stepping out, farabale, isale gan gan, players way, lagos, pain plus work. For those that haven't, u dont know what u'er missing.

Go to http://www.myspace.com/etceteralive to sample some of his tracks. If you like them you go out there and buy the cd. Where are the forum favourites of Bolajobaok, Skingo, Javalover etc. Are you guys scared of this thread or is it because it's not a comparisn bt 2face and faze, rugged and mode9. Or is it because you haven't gotten it for free from rapidshare. Anyway i'm still waiting for you guys to buy his cd and say what you think. I'll keep this thread alive untill you guys talk especailly the forum favourites.

Chasis Girl i honestly dont the know part of the post that does not make sense. I hope u'er not just going out of ur way to pick up quarel with someone new. I'm simply just saying that i got Etcetera's album and really enjoyed it. I went ahead to say Etcetera, Asah and Age Beeka are all niaja based but came out with world class albums. Pls pick their albums, listen to them and draw ur own conclusion. Thank u very much.
Music/RadioRe: Between Ikechukwu And Naeto C by blinx(m): 10:20am On Jul 11, 2008
personally i prefer Naeto C to Ikechukwu. The only real rap track Ikechukwu ever did in his album was naija boy, the rest i cant tell if he was trying to rap or sing and he has this style of rap that i thing rooftop MC copied from him. What i'm trying to say is that Ikechukwu and rooftop mc rap alike and i dont really like that style of rap. I say this cos i bought their albums and listened to them, so this is not hear say but though it's my personal opinion. Naeto C is kind of layed back in his style but i prefer him.
Music/RadioThese Guys Are The Same Category by blinx(op): 9:54am On Jul 11, 2008
Hey guys have you listen to Etcetera's album. I found it hard to believe that a Nigerian based in Nigeria could interprete rock the way he did; especially my favourite; softrock. The guy is world class and i place him in the same category with Asa and Age Beeka. His album is one of those few albums you listen to without skiping a track. I'm feeling the whole album but i'm particularly addicted to the track Hey J. Listen and tell me what you think.
Music/RadioRe: Was Rugged And Mode9 Involved In Rap Battle by blinx(op): 4:13pm On Jan 27, 2008
like i said a friend said so and those lines from Rugged seems to lay credence to that, but i need guys like u out there who might know the truth to comment on it.
The same even said that Rugged was a member of the groug Rough Rugged And Raw. I also dont know how true that is. So i need comfirmation.
Music/RadioWas Rugged And Mode9 Involved In Rap Battle by blinx(op): 10:50am On Jan 26, 2008
A friend of mine told me that Rugged and Modey were once involved in freestyle rap battle and that Mode9 really dealt with Rugged. That got me thinking cos i know that in the track My Life by rugged, he started it this way

it's not enough for u to say ur show is good
it's not enough for u to say ur flow is tight
it not enough for u to freestyle and battle
but when it comes to achievement nigga can u battle.

I want to know if it's true they were involved in a rap battle.

Music/RadioRe: Is Ruggedman A Lyricist: What Is Lyricism by blinx(m): 9:16am On Jan 25, 2008
I like mode9 but i like rugged better. There is inovation in every thing in this life and that inludes music. Mode9 has mentained the old school way of rap, people say that is keeping it real. Keeping it real at a particular spot ? I dont think that is right.
Rugged brings inovation in to the game. No doubt modey's yarns are more profound but if placing mode9 ahead of rugged is the only way to show that i am inteligent, then i better remain a dunce.
Most people that say that modey is better only say so in order to be politically correct. Most of them that i've come across dont even know his songs. They base their argument on what they hear other people say but on personal reasons.
People always make referencet to his mixtape pentium IX. The question is, is pentium IX better than his real album Best Among Equals? If yes, then does that show improvement or living on past glory like someone noted.
To me rugged remains better. If modey feels he's that good, i think the best person to confront is Gino. They both spit like oyinbo but Gino does it better. I also think that Gino's play on words is even better.
