Do you have any real support for this claim? I mean only a couple of weeks ago, the same banking sector layed off hundreds of employees, and here we are saying there are jobs in the banking sector?
Where exactly is the employment in Africa that immigrants should be running back home for?
There are jobs in the banking sector and various gov ministries and parastatals, besides in a developing economy the opportunities for a good entrepreneur to reap Super profit are enormous.

Many could be going back to set up business and take advantage of the lower tax rate and population.

I suppose in the current economic clime, it would be undesirable for unemployed Africans in the US to remain, when does skills and qualification could be put to good use in Nigeria like our dear Aunty Okonjo Iweala.etc

Nyway, the US is still very relevant as these migrating Africans could yet be seasonal and would return back to the U.S.
Politics › Re: Why Is Jonathan Receiving More Insults Than Yar'adua And Obasanjo Combined Together? by Bliss4Lyfe(f): 1:20am On Nov 11, 2011
Jonathan is amongst the best President Nigeria has ever Produced, if not the best. All this insults are from power hungry tribes and tribalists that perceive themselves as the natural born rulers and damn right mis-rulers of Nigeria.

I expect at the end of GEJ first tenure, even with all this distractions, for Nigerians and the International Community to be amazed by his accomplishments.

To all who come on this site to talk trash about our President becos u feel your tribesman should be President, a big shame. U and Boko Haramites, are the reason Nigeria's break up seems eminent, even though some of us wish things were different.

Politics › Re: Can The North Stand Alone? by Bliss4Lyfe(f): 12:15pm On Nov 09, 2011
The fact remains dat thanks to BOKO HARAM the break up of Nigeria is now inevitable and dat bloody war dey want, dey will get. I just hope dey are prepared for wat will be coming their ways?

As for the Lagos Ole; I have adviced my people to leave that city with their lifes dat is the most important. There is enough wealth in the east and with accountability, they will only find gain and no loss.

If OPC or any other Lagos Ole tries anything on our peace loving people going about their legitimate business then we will all choose death be prepared to either kill us all or we kill u all. Congo and Somalia will look like child's play in contrast to wat Nigeria becomes.

America will not be able to stop this. angry
Politics › Re: Can The North Stand Alone? by Bliss4Lyfe(f): 11:40am On Nov 09, 2011
LMAO, At some of the comments above. Some people are very quick to assume the Break up of Nigeria is a Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba affair. Very wrong.

The only way Nigeria will be broken is by War and where are wars often fought, in the key cities were everybody resides.

People are dreaming of reaping were dey did not sow, simply not going to happen and unlike the 1960s, the Majority of Lagosians are not yoruba so any aggression will back fire. We built lagos with our money and no thief will steal from us without a good fight.

Then we all go our separate ways. angry

I am tired of hearing of fake untapped oil and gas reserves

Don't we hear the same story all the time from Borno, Kano, etc?

I may need to double-check my math, but all of the SE combined produces less oil than Ondo State.

*shrug*

Abeg, let us hear this gas story once you are actually making money from it. This thread is not for tales by moonlight.

Anyway, gas isn't that as profitable as oil. And I don't remember the reserves being that huge.

SE doesn't produce much oil. Looks like most of Nigeria's oil production is from Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Bayelsa. None of which are in the SE. . .
@ Et bear,  Anambra alone in the southeast has about 30 tcf of gas and over 1 bn barrels of crude oil in the Anambra River basin of Anambra State, that is commercial quantity. Let us not talk about Imo and Abia that have even more reserves untapped.

We don't want no foreigner involved in our oil production and sale, taht is why Anambra has waited on the Orient Petroleum Company their indigenous brain child before they go to production and sales. No NNPC would also be ideal and hence Nigeria must break. Southeast/Southsouth and some middle belt are a very good idea for the new nation.

Not too many people and in another 10 to 20 years dat country will be the Dubai of African. As for the Bakassi land lost to Cameroon under OBJ, the southern cameroon want exit from cameroon maybe we can negotiate that territory back.

The IGR Ekiti is basing his argument are even outdated. This is like me taking the GDP reports of all the states in Nigeria from 2007 OBJ Administration to make a case in 2011. It is laughable .

Wat is IGR, Taxes collected from businesses. If does businesses leave those region to more favourable regions with lower taxes, wat happens to the IGR of the Southwest?

This is simple economics, If Nigeria breaks alot of things will change people will relocate and with dem businesses and property.

A lower IGR is not an indication of poverty Jason, just lower tax rate.
