Ojukwu: A hero’s hero – Mark Written by - Sunday, 27 November 2011 05:10 President of the Senate, Senator David Mark has described the Ikemba Nnewi, Chief Odumegwu Emeka Ojukwu as a dogged fighter who fought till the end to liberate the oppressed. Senator Mark in a condolence message to the government, people of Anambra State and the bereaved family, remarked that Ojukwu remains one of the greatest Nigerians that ever lived. He noted that Ojukwu was a great fighter who stood for justice, equality before the law, fairness and freedom to all citizens. Senator Mark added that “No matter how much you love or hate him, Ojukwu was a man who loved his people and was ever prepared to lay down his life for them to have a better living. “No matter the angle he is viewed, Ojukwu will be remembered as a man who stood up to be counted when it mattered most. He was a man who hated oppression and he did his best to liberate the downtrodden.” The President of the Senate added, “Ojukwu deserved a prominent chapter in the history of Nigeria and no one can deny the fact the he played his role creditably according to the dictates of the time.” He stressed that Ojukwu on return from exile after the ill-fated 30 months old fratricidal Nigeria/Biafra civil strife organised his people on the need to fully reintegrate into the Nigerian nation state. “He remains a legend. He was one of the very early fine military officers the nation had. He contributed to the evolution of modern day Nigeria. The nation has lost one of her best. He fought till the end. We shall surely miss him,” Mark stated. Senator Mark urged the bereaved family to take solace in the fact that Ojukwu left positive imprint on the sand of time. http://sundaytrust.com.ng/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=8583:ojukwu-a-heros-hero-mark-&catid=41:latest-news&Itemid=26 |

sheyguy:Never read so much nonsense in my life. Nyway, the coup was by the Nigeria Army not Igbo's besides in 1948 kaduna was their a coup before Northerners started killing Igbo or today? No. Please try and get some education and stop begging on the streets. |
Ojukwu the most noble of Army Generals. He fought for Justice, Freedom and Love of his people. That love is reciprocated by his people back 2 him. We will be missing u Great Ikemba Ezeigbo. A King has died

Ojukwu alive represented the continued rebellion against Nigeria and the Western Allies.(with the exception of France) He gave us reason to believe nothing was lost but all was gained. We never for once wished him death but long life. For as long as he lived Biafra was alive and well. Ojukwu may have returned to the loving arm of God the Creator, but his legacy is with us any day, any time. We the children of the land of the rising sun will follow his footsteps if and wen the time comes. ![]()

How is dis going to stop crime? This policy will create more criminals. People commit crime becos of lack and unfavourable economic climate. Fashola was a much better Gov in the first term, really don't know were he got this idea from or wat exactly is the catch.(All politicians are potential Bigots until proven not) Igbo's lets watch out for our properties. ![]() |
aribisala0:Ouch! dat probably hurt u more, exposing your Mother like that. Biatch!! I told u before, dis is no place to discuss your family issues. |
aribisala0:LMAO See who is talking!!! Hypocrite. Do u want to share your family issues today? Don't have any time to spare!! ![]() |
Wow, Chime Sulliven is really working hard as the Governor of Enugu and will work even harder as the President come 2015. Lets make it happen people. ![]() For all those critics talking about rust, it really is not your fault becos u don't know wat a railway track looks like, u probably never seen one in your life. ![]() Nyway railway track steel only comes to bare becos of wear from train commute as seen in the pic below. Does tracks are very ok, just need the engineers to lay them appropriately.

^^Not at all(likewise), I am very much a supporter of the works of social services wen done well. I am a friend of Justice with a good heart, like your white liberals from your previous post, with misplaced loyalty wen their is a miscarriage of justice. Tell your bosses to release the Musa children they have unlawful impound via Haringey Social services. The gravity of the continued illegal detention of those children without concrete incriminating evidence of abuse or negligence on the parental sphere, will be felt in a tsunami wave of international protest and lawsuit via the international community alondside, Nigerian and black community. This will reflect on the cordial diplomatic relations Britain and Nigeria enjoys amongst British reputation worldwide. Nigerians are resilient by nature. We rejects this imponderable tactics of assimilation for our children that is clearly impalpable. |
2morrow dey boast of being billionaires becos of ingenuity and originality. Hilarious!! billionaires on governmental aid. ![]() |
Is this Amara for real? I find this a tad ridiculous but interesting read. |
