In as much as there is freedom of expression and worship, what I don't condone is waking people very early in the morning all in the name of morning cry. If every religion should adopt the Christian's way of propagating their religion, I doubt if Christians will be happy with the development. Imagine been waked up as early as 4 am with words like: "repent and follow Allah, or you'll go to hell". The noise and public nuisance are appalling, and I hope you guys learn. You have your religion, I have mine. Let's respect each other's beliefs without wanting to convert the other. There is no RIGHT religion out there, it's all about FAITH and TOLERANCE! 'Religion is indeed the opium of the masses' Thank you! 15 Likes 1 Share |

If Nigeria survives this unrest, only the common man will suffer the consequences. I don't understand the attack on banks, shops, and the looting. I just don't understand... If the youths feel like burning something down, why not head over to government houses and Aso Rock? Let's direct our anger at the appropriate places, not loot the shops and destroy properties belonging to innocent and poor citizens. The worse part, this protest is without a head. Who is our spokesman? Who is representing us to ensure that our demands are met? We need to be more organized. The way I see it, we're not better than the Sars and politicians we're fighting against. Given the opportunity, an average Nigerian is beautifully corrupt. Our voice has been heard, it's time to chill and watch their response. Burning things down is not the way! 27 Likes 2 Shares |

What other definition of scam do you need? I always tell any serious blogger to run away from any Nigerian or Indian hosting company - they are the worse. I don't even know why people bother with these incompetent companies when there are far better companies with even cheaper plans. OP, continue disturbing them till you're refunded. It's your money! |

If a graduate can write this erroneous expression, a language which formed the bedrock of his knowledge and intelligence, it goes in length to prove that Nigeria has failed. Not only should all these old cargoes in aso rock resign, they should be persecuted and jailed for wasting the life of our generation. Countries are making exploits, discovering the undiscovered, racing for the next man in mars, we're here battling with something has basic as language? We need total reconstructuring of our education system. The average Nigerian university is a joke compared to high schools in sane climes. Our problem isn't wealth, we have it in abundance. Our problem are these old buffons in office who are still stuck in the 60s. To make matters worse, the youths that should fight together gets divided due to tribalism and religion. Until we come together and ask for the resign of all these fat buffons, Nigeria will remain the same years to come. We want to be able to appoint people in office who has the experience and skilled to carry out their job description. You want to be the minister of technologies? You must have the paper qualifications, an outstanding portfolio, with a track record of efficiency. Everything must be verified and tested using psychometric test. These are requirements that should qualify someone to even contest for an election. Without the brains in office, a country can never move forward For now, all we have are bunch of thugs and vegetables who can do anything to derail and abuse the youths. If we don't get it right from the top, this ongoing protest is merely for nothing. We are just like a toothless dog and nothing more. My people perish, not because they lack knowledge, but because they are too timid to take what belongs to them. It's obvious Nigeria needs to be recolonized Piece!

It is time we get things right in this country. This is a business account, but I don't fu*king give a damn at this moment. Let the worse happen! Being a senator or representative of any group doesn't deter you from having other pursuits. There should be overall reconstructuring , and the slashing down of allowances, salaries, and benefits that pertain to governance. When a governor is given an allocation, there has to be visible evidence and accountability. These old fat cargoes need to be given a pamphlet detailing their job description and the target goals. When they fail to attain these goals, they should have an explanation to make. They should be held accountable and appropriate punishment carried out. Nigeria is not a wasteland where everyone is fighting to fill his pocket. What kind of a discombobulated nation is this? Every system has to be working, we are fucking rich for Christ's sake. If we are to utilize our resources well, America will be nowhere near us. We have the brain, we have the mental and physical capability. Do you know the best part? Despite the bad reputation that we've amassed, Nigeria still stands as one of the great nations of the world. Why do you think almost all the countries are secretly against Nigeria? The majority of websites today have already banned Nigerian IPs before they even commence business. And when everyone tends to hate a certain individual, there has to be something unique and interesting. I'm proud to be a Nigerian, and I fight for restructuring, right from the presidency to the grassroots - the local government chairmen and those that serve below. Being in office is not an opportunity to loot, but to prove yourself based on the limited resources given. When you fail to achieve the goals set out, you'll be held accountable. This is what we are asking for. As simple as that... When every system is working, crime will reduce, and the economy will flourish. #Endsars 11 Likes |

budaatum: You don't need to go overboard, as I merely engaged you based on your postulations. However, it's apparent you're one of these folks who feel like the 'all-knowing', even when they know nothing. You said all one needed was advertisements, and I enlightened you on why your model cannot work. It's like trying to sell a Biafran flag to an Hausa. It wouldn't work, no matter how crazy or aggressive your marketing campaigns are. You might even be putting your life in danger. But if you try to sell a US flag, or even any other kind of flag, you're most likely to hit success if your story is compelling. Before you exploit an idea, there has to be a market for it. If you're inventing something new, you need to ensure it's going to solve a problem. That way, you create demand without waiting for demand. But if you delve into selling Nigerian flag, let's say southeast, you might not record such a success, since these are folks who are against the very idea of your product. I run a restaurant business, and I did ran independence day promos which were a success. Does that mean those that took the offer love Nigeria? Nope! They only did because the offer was good, not because it is Nigeria. So if you're selling a Nigerian flag, what do they need it for? And what problem are you solving? In a country where almost everyone see Nigeria as a curse, why do they need your independence day decorative wears? If they don't, do you still think it's a good idea to sell such? If you're talking about any other kind of business on independence day, then you're simply applying red-herring, since that isn't the base of this thread. The reason we conduct feasibility studies, is to know how viable a business idea is before dabbling in. I really don't need to teach you business, sign up for a business class. Just know that your stance in this thread is baseless, and it will be wise to stop embarrassing yourself further. Thank you! |

budaatum: No matter how hard you advertise a product, if your target market is emotionally against the idea, you won't sale shit. Getting a lead and converting such a lead into a paying customer goes beyond mere advertising. This is not my business. It is not what I sell. Since this is not your field, don't you think your inexperience or perhaps, lack of knowledge could be repulsive to some learned folks here? Business isn't your strong suit, why not focus on religion and romance? At least, you can perform averagely on such mundane topics than to keep embarrassing yourself here.
The bone of contention is the sale of Independence day decorative wears and accessories. Perhaps your business model can work with other products and services, but not this since Nigeria has become a trigger that many want to disassociate from. In fact, trying to sale these can be risky in some parts of Nigeria, since people with opposing views can decide to do the inevitable. It's like trying to market pork to a muslim.. No matter how exceptional your marketing skills are, your campaigns will bring zero result. Please budaa, focus on religious arguments and leave business alone. Peace. |

budaatum: If the supply of a product is low or zero, the only logical reason in this scenario is the lack of demand. Just as coronavirus opened up a new market of a nose mask, the same way that seasons like this impact on business - like Christmas! People lack the patriotic spirit, hence there were no buzz, reminders, preparation, or pre-orders of decorative wears. This lead to the pathetic state of the current market. The day is not being recognized by both consumers and producers. It's a red sign! 40 Likes 3 Shares |
Politics / My Experience Today Showed That Nigeria Is Dead! by Bloghomies(m): 11:10pm On Sep 30, 2020 |
I don't often comment on politics. In fact, I try to desist from it, since it inevitably forces me to choose a side. As a businessman, that is something I don't do. I have to serve customers irrespective of their political beliefs. Tomorrow being Nigeria's Independence Day, I reasoned that I need to put up some decoration to key our customers into the season. Would you believe that I went to the market, and I couldn't find any green and white material, flag, scarf, or anything at all that one can use for the independence celebration? I had to buy one yard of green and a white material, and send it to my tailor to sew a flag. Yet, the market was full, busy, but no material or accessory to key into this monumental day? Nigeria has failed the average Nigerian, and it is written in all our faces. Irrespective of which party you support, you know, deep down, we've been cheated. A moment that should bring celebration looks like a gloomy, scary jungle where everyone is hunting for their next meal. But no matter what happens, play your part, be good. If your dream job isn't coming, start a business. 72 Likes 10 Shares |

There are countries far worse, where they live in swamps and eat one another. Yes, we're behind. It only becomes a gamble if you fail to do your homework. Before you exploit an opportunity, there are factors to be addressed to ensure you take a calculated risk. It isn't gambling if you've done your homework. But unfortunately, most aspiring entrepreneurs prefer to start a business without a feasibility study, business plan, or even core knowledge of the business. When you start a business without having a detailed overview of your industry or target market, you're like a blindfolded businessman at the mercy of luck. Most often, they all fail.
