Business / How To Prepare Your Business For Black Friday - Bloghomies by Bloghomies(m): 11:18am On Nov 18, 2020

Shoppers love a good deal, and there is no better time for those deals if not on Black Friday.

If you run an eCommerce business, the chances are that you’re already gearing up for the big frenzy.

Undoubtedly, there is no day like Black Friday, and it can be a stressful period for retailers looking to make money.

Like you already know, shoppers often plan out their mail trips to have a better edge. They come with their tents, sweaters, inverters and are ready to sleep in front of the mall for the sake of Black Friday.

In the same light, businesses need to prepare for Black Friday to keep up with the sudden surge in shoppers and traffic.

A little digital preparation can help your business make the most of Black Friday.

In that case, here is how to prepare your e-commerce business for Black Friday

1. Engage And Prepare Your Customers

Engage And Prepare Your Customers
If you already have an email list of customers or perhaps followers on your social handles, now is the time to prepare and engage them for the big day.

This means you need to buff up your marketing strategies and create a hype that instantly keeps your customers anticipating Black Friday offers.

You can also offer discounts, giveaways; to keep your customers engaged till D-day. If you must know a secret, retailers well in advance of Black Friday, and long after.

So, starting earlier will be to your advantage in making the best of Black Friday.

Monitor your competitors, and try to incorporate some of their tactics. Most of them often offer sneak peeks, pre-Black Friday sales, and Black Friday previews.

2. Site Speed And Checkout Process

Site Speed And Checkout Process
A slow website is a huge turn-off, so make sure this Black Friday is not the case. About 46% of shoppers have said that they can’t return to a slow website.

Aside from your website’s load speed, another thing you need to consider is the checkout process. Is there a glitch? Can customers quickly check out without issues?

Friday is a huge event, and millions of stores online and offline will be fighting for your target market.

By ensuring that everything on your website is functional and ready to go, you gain leverage. So, take a day or two to go through your website and fix some minor things.

To make it even easier for your customers, you can add more payment methods to your store. This might include bitcoin or even PayPal if you don’t already have it.

3. Automated Emails For Abandoned Carts

Automated Emails For Abandoned Carts
In 2014, there was a whopping 65% abandoned carts for shoppers on Black Friday. If you want to make a lot of money this coming Black Friday, you need to optimize your email chain.

One way to mitigate this issue is to set up abandoned carts emails. That way, you have a chance of selling by reminding your customers about their abandoned carts.

Furthermore, you need to make sure your store or website is mobile friendly. Smartphones account for over 44% of online traffic, which is incredible if you utilize this opportunity.

4. Optimize Your Products

Optimize Your Products
One of the free and most sought ways for traffic is organic – Google. However, there is work to be done if you must pull this off.

This entails knowing how to conduct keyword research and optimize your products to these target keywords.

When your website and products are well optimized for search engines, your target market wouldn’t have a problem discovering your store.

By doing some tweaking and optimization, you prepare your e-commerce business for Black Friday.

Many tools will help you run useful keyword research, and one of them is SEMRush. It is a robust tool that gives you details insight on keywords and even your competitors.

But if you can’t afford the plans, perhaps you can use a free tool like Google Keyword Planner. You can also use Google Suggest and Google Trends to get keyword ideas for your products.

Write a product description that sells. If you can’t, hire a professional freelance writer to help out. You can have our writers work for you by contacting us ASAP.

5. The Right Discount

The Right Discount
Black Friday an all about discounts, and you have to be creative and smart to make the day a success.

On this beautiful day, people are looking for at least a 20% discount on the items they buy. If you want to stand out, you can even offer a free tiny gift.

This strategy is often used to have the edge over your competitors, and it always works. By applying the right discount, you prepare your eCommerce business for Black Friday.

If you’ll offer a 20% discount to customers, who should you offer a 50% or 30% discount to? Well, the ideal audience would be your first-time customers.

When you offer your first-time buyers something great, they are most likely to return another day. Here are a few tips that will help with your Black Friday discounts.

Display Discounts On Homepage: This will help your store visitors to know your offers for Black Friday.
Add A Countdown: A countdown helps create urgency, thereby compelling your customers to take action as quickly as possible.

6. Utilize Social Media

Utilize Social Media
Almost everyone is on social media, making it the perfect avenue for your digital campaigns. The good thing is that running sponsored ads on these social media platforms is easy and cheap.

Facebook, for example, allows you to run day ads for as low as 1$ (#390 in Nigerian currency). The more engagement you get, the more likely people are going to make some orders.

To get the best result from your social media campaign, you need to optimize for the right audience. It wouldn’t make sense to target an audience that isn’t interested in your offers.

Thet will be wasted efforts, resources, and time. With Facebook, you can optimize your ads based on audiences’ interests, behavior, and even demographics.

If running adverts on social media sound like a complicated and complex endeavor, we can help you out for just a penny. Do contact us, so you don’t miss these Black Friday goodies.

Not only can these campaigns be run on Facebook, but Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn if you prefer.

The potentials that social media offers for business is astonishing, and you don’t want to miss it. Make sure you use a high-quality image for your ads and a short, catchy text.

7. Use Referral Programs

Use Referral Programs
Another way to prepare your e-commerce business for Black Friday is by using word of mouth. That means using a marketing strategy such as referral programs.

Many business owners think running a referral program is technical. It isn’t, for as long as you use a reliable referral software.

Through referral programs, you will convince your customers to recommend your products and services to their friends and families.

As you already know, people prefer recommendations from people they know, compared to traditional ads. If you can use this strategy during this coming Black Friday, you’ll make more money than you’ve ever made since you began doing business.

Referral programs always entail offering a sort of reward to your referrals. Since it’s a mutually beneficial program, your customers wouldn’t want to miss the opportunity.

It’s an incredible way to create awareness about your business, thereby bringing potential customers for Black Friday shopping.

8. Backup Everything

Backup Everything
Before you start your Black Friday sales, make sure your website and products are backed up. There are lots of tools, plugins, and software that will help you do that.

Remember, Black Friday is a day of heavy and overwhelming traffic. To make sure there are no errors or crashes, back up your website. If possible, upgrade your hosting plan for the best result.

Having a backup is like having insurance for your business. If anything wrong happens, you can easily revert without issues. Talk to your hosting company about backing up your website, or perhaps speak to your developer.

If you don’t have a developer, do contact us so our team of developers can help you get ready for Black Friday.

Conclusion

Black Friday is a big day for businesses, and there is a need to prepare your business for this shopping frenzy.

Without adequate preparation for this big event, you’ll find yourself losing out, which can be sad, especially when your competitors are overwhelmed with orders.

By implementing most of these tips, you’ll make mind-blowing figures this Black Friday. So, what other tips do you think will help your business prepare for Black Friday?

In as much as there is freedom of expression and worship, what I don't condone is waking people very early in the morning all in the name of morning cry.

If every religion should adopt the Christian's way of propagating their religion, I doubt if Christians will be happy with the development.

Imagine been waked up as early as 4 am with words like: "repent and follow Allah, or you'll go to hell".

The noise and public nuisance are appalling, and I hope you guys learn. You have your religion, I have mine. Let's respect each other's beliefs without wanting to convert the other.

There is no RIGHT religion out there, it's all about FAITH and TOLERANCE!

'Religion is indeed the opium of the masses'

If Nigeria survives this unrest, only the common man will suffer the consequences. I don't understand the attack on banks, shops, and the looting. I just don't understand...

If the youths feel like burning something down, why not head over to government houses and Aso Rock?

Let's direct our anger at the appropriate places, not loot the shops and destroy properties belonging to innocent and poor citizens.

The worse part, this protest is without a head. Who is our spokesman? Who is representing us to ensure that our demands are met?

We need to be more organized. The way I see it, we're not better than the Sars and politicians we're fighting against. Given the opportunity, an average Nigerian is beautifully corrupt.

Our voice has been heard, it's time to chill and watch their response.

Burning things down is not the way!

Hey can you stop this non sense already? Domainking is not a scam . Settle your ish with them . I have been using them for long and nothing like that. I have not had any issue with them . And i have read several reviews about them online no one have ever complained of being scammed by them. The Only complains at times i sees is about their services which they have already improved or massively improving . Guy domainking are the best african hosting company . Mind you domainking is not a Nigeria hosting company they only have office in Nigeria. Domainking is an Indian hosting company. They are my best today , tomorrow and forever.

Could it be that you can't read and understand? The young man requested for a service which they claim not to offer and yet, they are unable to refund his money?

What other definition of scam do you need?

I always tell any serious blogger to run away from any Nigerian or Indian hosting company - they are the worse.

I don't even know why people bother with these incompetent companies when there are far better companies with even cheaper plans.

OP, continue disturbing them till you're refunded. It's your money!
Politics / See The Reason I Support Governance Reconstructuring by Bloghomies(m): 9:38am On Oct 18, 2020
If a graduate can write this erroneous expression, a language which formed the bedrock of his knowledge and intelligence, it goes in length to prove that Nigeria has failed.

Not only should all these old cargoes in aso rock resign, they should be persecuted and jailed for wasting the life of our generation.

Countries are making exploits, discovering the undiscovered, racing for the next man in mars, we're here battling with something has basic as language?

We need total reconstructuring of our education system. The average Nigerian university is a joke compared to high schools in sane climes.

Our problem isn't wealth, we have it in abundance. Our problem are these old buffons in office who are still stuck in the 60s.

To make matters worse, the youths that should fight together gets divided due to tribalism and religion.

Until we come together and ask for the resign of all these fat buffons, Nigeria will remain the same years to come.

We want to be able to appoint people in office who has the experience and skilled to carry out their job description.

You want to be the minister of technologies? You must have the paper qualifications, an outstanding portfolio, with a track record of efficiency. Everything must be verified and tested using psychometric test.

These are requirements that should qualify someone to even contest for an election. Without the brains in office, a country can never move forward

For now, all we have are bunch of thugs and vegetables who can do anything to derail and abuse the youths.

If we don't get it right from the top, this ongoing protest is merely for nothing. We are just like a toothless dog and nothing more.

My people perish, not because they lack knowledge, but because they are too timid to take what belongs to them.

It's obvious Nigeria needs to be recolonized

"but all I will advise them is not to allow these protests drag and become hijacked by negative elements, thereby leading to more carnage, loss of lives and eventually a civil war. Also, they may stage protests but not block the roads thereby preventing others from going about their lawful businesses. Your fundamental human rights to protest should not infringe on another person's fundamental human rights of free movement and making a living for himself/herself.
When you in the name of protests infringe on the rights of others, you make yourself no better than the SARS men you are protesting against. Someone on this forum informed us that an asthmatic and pregnant woman died yesterday at Agidingbi Ikeja because the people taking her to the hospital were held up in the traffic standstill arising from the protests. This is not good for the #Endsars cause.

Like I said earlier....

When #Endsars becomes a full scale civil war like the 3 year Biafra civil war....the following will happen:
- No school for 3 years ( lives are delayed by 3 years)
- No work for 3 years - members of your family die from starvation
- Your mother, sister, wife, daughter raped or kidnapped and used as a sex slave by soldiers/armed men for 3 years with the attendant birth of bastards
- No internet for 3 years - incommunicado to the rest of the world ...our youths lives are dependent on the internet more than any other thing in this age
- Numerous lives lost
- Destruction of your house, possessions and property rendering you homeless and a fugitive..

I can go on... Unfortunately, when war starts, you can't say "I no do again"...it will take its course..lives will be lost, the country will retrogress several years back.

Conclusion: Make Person Borrow Sense!"

Perhaps a civil war is what we need. I know it will be a heavy price, but a new dawn is always better than the old.

It is time we get things right in this country. This is a business account, but I don't fu*king give a damn at this moment.

Let the worse happen!

Being a senator or representative of any group doesn't deter you from having other pursuits.

There should be overall reconstructuring , and the slashing down of allowances, salaries, and benefits that pertain to governance.

When a governor is given an allocation, there has to be visible evidence and accountability. These old fat cargoes need to be given a pamphlet detailing their job description and the target goals.

When they fail to attain these goals, they should have an explanation to make. They should be held accountable and appropriate punishment carried out.

Nigeria is not a wasteland where everyone is fighting to fill his pocket. What kind of a discombobulated nation is this?

Every system has to be working, we are fucking rich for Christ's sake. If we are to utilize our resources well, America will be nowhere near us.

We have the brain, we have the mental and physical capability. Do you know the best part? Despite the bad reputation that we've amassed, Nigeria still stands as one of the great nations of the world.

Why do you think almost all the countries are secretly against Nigeria? The majority of websites today have already banned Nigerian IPs before they even commence business.

And when everyone tends to hate a certain individual, there has to be something unique and interesting.

I'm proud to be a Nigerian, and I fight for restructuring, right from the presidency to the grassroots - the local government chairmen and those that serve below.

Being in office is not an opportunity to loot, but to prove yourself based on the limited resources given. When you fail to achieve the goals set out, you'll be held accountable. This is what we are asking for.

As simple as that... When every system is working, crime will reduce, and the economy will flourish.

I hope you do not limit yourself as you have pressumed to limit me with very little knowledge of my business experience. Just to be clear, I'm in this thread because of the presumption of the op which I pressume is wrong but I do not expect everyone to see my point or agree with me. Fact is, he went to buy but could not find, which is the bases for researching a business opportunity.

Some will take from this thread that the bone of contention is the sale of anything that can be sold for profit specifically during independence. It could be items mocking Nigeria, promoting Nigeria or Nigerians, calling for the breakup of Nigeria, promoting or celebrating Biafria or Yoruba and Hausa and Fulani etc republics or village or ethnic or religious group, etc, or any idea one can package and sell.

I make enough from my 'business' to not bother much about the "sale of Independence day decorative wears and accessories" as the return would be a waste of my time resource. However, a sales dept in a business I'm 50% invested in did Independence Day Special and hit 47% increase over same day last year with lots of not yet processed orders. 70% increase is projected if last year is mimicked.

As Adam Smith suggests, business people are not in business for sentiment but for the profit it puts in their pocket.

www.nairaland.com/attachments/11628843_20200503141157291_jpeg_jpegdc9d3882addf0454b40b7a902afc68fd

You don't need to go overboard, as I merely engaged you based on your postulations.

However, it's apparent you're one of these folks who feel like the 'all-knowing', even when they know nothing.

You said all one needed was advertisements, and I enlightened you on why your model cannot work. It's like trying to sell a Biafran flag to an Hausa.

It wouldn't work, no matter how crazy or aggressive your marketing campaigns are. You might even be putting your life in danger.

But if you try to sell a US flag, or even any other kind of flag, you're most likely to hit success if your story is compelling.

Before you exploit an idea, there has to be a market for it. If you're inventing something new, you need to ensure it's going to solve a problem. That way, you create demand without waiting for demand.

But if you delve into selling Nigerian flag, let's say southeast, you might not record such a success, since these are folks who are against the very idea of your product.

I run a restaurant business, and I did ran
independence day promos which were a success. Does that mean those that took the offer love Nigeria?

Nope! They only did because the offer was good, not because it is Nigeria. So if you're selling a Nigerian flag, what do they need it for? And what problem are you solving?

In a country where almost everyone see Nigeria as a curse, why do they need your independence day decorative wears? If they don't, do you still think it's a good idea to sell such?

If you're talking about any other kind of business on independence day, then you're simply applying red-herring, since that isn't the base of this thread.

The reason we conduct feasibility studies, is to know how viable a business idea is before dabbling in. I really don't need to teach you business, sign up for a business class.

Just know that your stance in this thread is baseless, and it will be wise to stop embarrassing yourself further.

Thank you!

A good businessperson does not wait for demand. They create demand by advertising.

No matter how hard you advertise a product, if your target market is emotionally against the idea, you won't sale shit. Getting a lead and converting such a lead into a paying customer goes beyond mere advertising.

This is not my business. It is not what I sell.

Since this is not your field, don't you think your inexperience or perhaps, lack of knowledge could be repulsive to some learned folks here?

Business isn't your strong suit, why not focus on religion and romance? At least, you can perform averagely on such mundane topics than to keep embarrassing yourself here.

Flags are not the only thing to sell. Just by reading here, a "Nigeria has failed and patriotism is dead" banner might fly off the shelf along with Long Live Biafra or Yoruba Republic teeshirts.

The bone of contention is the sale of Independence day decorative wears and accessories.

Perhaps your business model can work with other products and services, but not this since Nigeria has become a trigger that many want to disassociate from.

In fact, trying to sale these can be risky in some parts of Nigeria, since people with opposing views can decide to do the inevitable.

It's like trying to market pork to a muslim.. No matter how exceptional your marketing skills are, your campaigns will bring zero result.

Please budaa, focus on religious arguments and leave business alone.

Peace.

Nigeria has not failed here! A businessman has just failed to take advantage of a business opportunity!

If the supply of a product is low or zero, the only logical reason in this scenario is the lack of demand.

Just as coronavirus opened up a new market of a nose mask, the same way that seasons like this impact on business - like Christmas!

People lack the patriotic spirit, hence there were no buzz, reminders, preparation, or pre-orders of decorative wears.

This lead to the pathetic state of the current market. The day is not being recognized by both consumers and producers. It's a red sign!

I don't often comment on politics. In fact, I try to desist from it, since it inevitably forces me to choose a side.

As a businessman, that is something I don't do. I have to serve customers irrespective of their political beliefs.

Tomorrow being Nigeria's Independence Day, I reasoned that I need to put up some decoration to key our customers into the season.

Would you believe that I went to the market, and I couldn't find any green and white material, flag, scarf, or anything at all that one can use for the independence celebration?

I had to buy one yard of green and a white material, and send it to my tailor to sew a flag. Yet, the market was full, busy, but no material or accessory to key into this monumental day?

Nigeria has failed the average Nigerian, and it is written in all our faces. Irrespective of which party you support, you know, deep down, we've been cheated.

A moment that should bring celebration looks like a gloomy, scary jungle where everyone is hunting for their next meal.

But no matter what happens, play your part, be good. If your dream job isn't coming, start a business.

I have done a lot lot lot more successful Businesses than you ( I don't even think you have succeeded in any yet ) Soni should know better ..and besides I just got my license for a new sports bet company so I know what I am saying Sir

Not only can you not address someone without spewing insult, but you also can't even compose a coherent message and yet you call yourself an entrepreneur?

If you can't communicate effectively, how do you run your business?

Based on this alone, it's obvious you're not an entrepreneur. You don't even know what that is.

You're just a mere, petty businessman who lacks professionalism or the core knowledge of entrepreneurship.

Running into a conclusion about who I am or achievement went further to show you're a kid still living under his mama's roof.

For that, It will be a shame to waste further time. I hope school resume soon for childishness like these to reduce.

Shalom!

He Gamble's every day , Amazon was a gamble that paid .. Entrepreneurship is actually gamble . When are all gamblers one way or the other ...Infact your being in this world was the first gamble you won the day you won the odds to fertilize one egg in the midst bid milllions of other sperm cells

Only fools believe that everything is a gamble, and please desist if you're an addict.

That being said, entrepreneurship is not a gamble. It only becomes a gamble if you fail to do your homework.

Before you exploit an opportunity, there are factors to be addressed to ensure you take a calculated risk.

It isn't gambling if you've done your homework.

But unfortunately, most aspiring entrepreneurs prefer to start a business without a feasibility study, business plan, or even core knowledge of the business.

When you start a business without having a detailed overview of your industry or target market, you're like a blindfolded businessman at the mercy of luck.

Most often, they all fail. Entrepreneurship isn't a gamble, but rather a game of smartness, skill and knowledge!

Well said. Off the top of my head was klinefelter syndrome as well.

It explains a lot of what he is going through. Kallman syndrome in most cases is associated with anosmia which he didn't complain of. I am also thinking of a 5 alpha reductase deficiency which may explain the infantile nature of his external gen.italia but my best bet is klinefelter syndrome since they are usually tall with a longer arm span to height ratio. Poor chap.

@op, so sorry about what you are going through but are your breasts bigger than the usual expected in males?
Are your testicles small?
Among the tests done, is one of them LH, FSH and testosterone? If so, can you tell us what the results are so that we can help you arrive at a probable diagnosis?

Again, don't listen to anyone here telling you that this is normal. There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING NORMAL about your plight and you need to see an endocrinologist asap. Unfortunately, most of the tests done to arrive at the diagnosis are expensive but that isn't really the doctor's fault
You need to get to the root of the problem. Let me know if you have further concerns

You're an inspiration! kiss
