The Nigerian Army has placed a bounty of N3 million on Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau – this was disclosed in a statement released yesterday by the Army spokesperson, Sani Usman.

South Africa's parliamenta few minutes ago elected Cyril Ramaphosa, unopposed, as the country's new president just hours after Jacob Zuma resigned in a late-night television address after a nine-year rule.

The African National Congress (ANC), which has a large majority in parliament, said earlier today that they would nominate the wealthy former business man who became Zuma's vice president since 2014 and that just happened.

The appointment of Ramaphosa, leader of the ruling African National Congress party since December 2017, was met with anger by some members of the ultra-left Economic Freedom Fighters party, who walked out of the chamber in protest before the vote took place.

The 65-year-old Ramaphosa who, as deputy president, became interim leader immediately after Zuma's resignation on Wednesday made his name as a trade union leader during the apartheid era and as the chief negotiator for Nelson Mandela, helping to shepherd the country out of white minority rule.

When Mandela's presidency came to a close, he made it clear that he wanted Ramaphosa to succeed him. But Ramaphosa lost the race to lead the ANC and the country to Thabo Mbeki, another anti-apartheid leader who returned to South Africa after living in exile.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Monday revealed that another of its staff lied that the scratch cards given to him for sale got burnt in an accident.

However, Jamb Board discovered that there was no such accident as the cards were used.

We had a case where one of the staff said he had an accident on his way and the scratch cards got burnt, but only for us to discover that they were used because they all had serial numbers. Dr. Fabian Benjamin said.

This is coming on the heels of the claim by a staff, Philomena Chieshe, that a snake swallowed the N36 million she made from the sale of recharge cards.

Speaking on the developments, the spokesman of JAMB, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, said the story that a snake swallowed the proceeds of the recharge card by Chieshe, who is attached to the Makurdi, Benue State office of the Board, is a case of cock and bull.

Benjamin said the dimension was introduced to cover a pure case of criminality and fraud by the staff.

He said: “The story was a mere invention.

“There was no snake anywhere to have swallowed the money.”

He said Chieshe told JAMB Registrar, Dr. Ishaq Oloyede, and his team that she could not account for N36 million she made in previous years before the abolition of scratch cards.

He said in the course of interrogation, Chieshe denied the allegations that she stole the money, but confessed that her housemaid connived with another JAMB staff, Joan Asen, to “spiritually”, through a snake, steal the money from the vault in the account office.

Benjamin said: “It is natural for the office to account for what they have after the sale of scratch cards has been stopped and we discovered that lots of money was missing in Markurdi and other offices.

“There are procedures in the civil service. "So the whole thing is still under investigation.

“She was queried, she appeared before disciplinary committee, although she confessed that money was missing and a snake swallowed it.

“Unfortunately, she is calling one Joan’s name, which did not appear in the investigation at all.

“Joan only recommended a house help for her.

“Of course, the management did not believe the story.

“She is just trying to put an excuse forward.

“These are things the Registrar is trying to unravel to put the board on the right footing.

“We had a case where one of the staff said he had an accident on his way and the scratch cards got burnt, but only for us to discover that they were used because they all had serial numbers.”

Tolani Otedola, the first daughter of billionaire Femi Otedola, who learnt the rudiments of music in England and has completd her education, has decided to take her music to the next level in Nigeria.

In a recent interview, she somewhat accepted that she takes advantage of her father’s name but she is trying to work hard and hopes that her music speaks for her.

In the chat with GoldMyneTV, she said, “If you want to be good at anything, you have to learn it in school or somewhere. I have been preparing myself for the music industry. At a time, I was working, I was in the university and I was studying music too. I had to learn how to play instruments and how to write music.”

According to her, she will never take it personally if anyone who attributes her success to her father’s fame.

“If you tell me I am taking advantage of my father’s fame, I will not argue with you. I have already accepted that people will form their own opinions about me and I don’t intend to fight it. I will try to work hard and hope that my music speaks for me.

“It’s a mistake for people to think that since we were born into a wealthy home, we don’t need to work for anything. My father takes care of us, but his money is not ours. Parents like to support their children, but I don’t think they want us to depend on them forever. One day, my parents will not be around again and I will need to take care of myself.”

By the way, Billionaire CEO of Forte Oil, Femi Otedola, is blessed with four children, three daughters and a son.

It notable to know that his three daughters posses interests in entertainment. Florence is DJ Cuppy, Temi is a fashion entrepreneur and Tolani, is a singer.

The 200 level students of English department, Osun State University has today gone on a short protest to express their displeasure on the viral video. They held cardboards indicating and explaining that it was just a theatre.

While Blog was speaking with one of the students; Amodu Aramide, she narrated that it was theatre, he did nothing wrong and was fun.

Nigerian singer and actor, Banky Wellington better known as Banky W made a revelation about his plans to set up a restaurant within a year or two.

He announced this during a radio interview in Lagos. According to Banky W, he is most of the times considered a chef by his friends because of his culinary skills.

He was then asked if there is going to be a Wellington restaurant.

He replied;

“It won’t be a Wellington restaurant…. but I have an active plan to put together a restaurant within a year and a year and half.”

Housemates in the Big Brother Naija reality TV show have been banned from laughing. They have also been banned from engaging in physical touching.

The housemates were told on Thursday that they are making the house noisy and also changing the rules of the game.

They were called to order while female housemate, Princess, was seen telling fellow housemates how Nigerian super star, E-Money called her a drunk in a club in Lagos.

She was still telling the story about her ordeal with E-money and his crew; how she tried to hail the star which turned out to be an embarrassment to her, and how she, in another occasion met Star singer, 2face Idibia and his wife, Ani, who received her so well.

The housemates were immediately summoned and cautioned by the Big Brother, who told them that henceforth, there would be no laughing in the house.

According to Big Brother, “We have noticed with disappointment that housemates make unnecessary noise in the house.

“Everyone seems to have something to say at the same time and this is against the rules of the game.”

Envelopes were brought in by the Ninjas which contained the instructions banning them from laughing.

Big Brother further created the “opposite game” to “regulate the noise in the house.” While the jesters are to do everything to make the opposite laugh, the opposite team are not supposed to yield no matter what.

Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha has told youths of the state that it is better to be thieves than to smoke weed.

He made this statement while briefing the people of his state on his development plans for the community.

While emphasizing the dangers of smoking weed, Okorocha reminded them that smoking weed is still illegal and the law will go after anyone who is involved in the business.

Speaking in Igbo, Okorocha said: “A law has been declared in the state that everything that has to do with smoking weed has to stop.

Weed has killed my children in Imo State. Anyone who is selling weed; whether you are smoking it or you are selling it, if we find your house, we will demolish it.

“Where I stand now, I prefer that a person… it’s better that a person is a thief than to smoke weed.

“If you’re caught stealing, you’ll be sent to prison. If you go to steal while armed, you’ll be killed. But if you smoke weed, not only will you be sent to prison, your house will also be demolished. So which one is better for you?

“Because if people do not smoke weed, no one will go to rob. It’s when one is under the influence of weed, that’s when they rob.”

He went on to tell the people of the community that he knows they do not smoke weed, then warned again that if anyone is caught smoking weed, their houses will be demolished.

“And I’m not joking about it. I’m very serious,” he concluded.

“When I released the song ‘Back then’, I did not know that it was going to be that big. Then I went back to school and the love that I was shown was overwhelming, let alone the way girls began to treat me.

That one song with the video made my father realise that I had the talent. And then, I did the song, ‘Dami Duro’.

“The song became so big and I remember that the President at the time called my father to talk about me and the song. Even during my father’s business meetings with his friends, they would mention my name and the song.

Before long, I started travelling and doing shows around the world. Now I have the numbers of about 13 presidents on my phone and if I call them, they would answer the call. Then the award came and it set me on another level.”.

A father allegedly brutalized his young daughter in this manner for refusing to have sex with him.

According to reports, the little girl who hails from Okpe Isoko in Isoko north Local government area of Delta state was maltreated and assaulted by her father, John Okeregu, who allegedly attempted to rape her.

The girl was taken into custody of a good Samaritan as report has it that the king of the community is trying to cover up the case.

According to reports, after the news broke out, the Commissioner of Women affairs and the Attorney General of Delta State are said to have been made aware and are now interested in the case.

The local government chairman also sent the counselor representing the ward to meet with the little girl to help serve justice.

A lavish Tanzanian prophet, identified as Nabii Tito has been arrested by officials, following multiple claims of indecency.

The prophet has been trending in Tanzania Social media for the past few days, after he shared photos of himself kissing his wife and house girl.

The pictures immediately made rounds on social media and it struck the nerves of many Tanzanians and East Africans who called him out.

According to reports from Tuko.co.ke, the prophet was arrested for indecent exposure, as he’s been seen multiple times preaching while drinking alcohol. Photos of him doing his ‘thing’ publicly are clear proof that Nabii Tito,also known as Machibya is nothing shot of a devil’s agent.

Confirming the arrest, IGP Simon Sirro said Tito had been arrested following public complaints and will be dealt with accordingly.

It’s being reported newly that at the early hours of Sunday the 7th, an ‘angel’ from heaven appeared in the skies while a fasting and marathon praying session was being held at Prophet Samuel Akinbodunse’s Freedom For All Nations in Pretoria, South Africa.
