Crime / Re: I Beat My Girl Friends by Blow(m): 12:43pm On Mar 06, 2007 |
Just make it a point of principle not to hit a woman again I could remembr that I made up my mind not to have any physical violence with any woman since primary school days Maybe because I respect my mom and granma so much Find a woman who is very dear to you -your mom, sister and try to imagine any man hitting her how do you feel Keep that in the front seat of your mind I beileve it will prevent you from being violent against women. |

It's quite pathetic. An unfortunate end. AbdHammed will be fondly remembered by people like you who knew him as a good man. AbdHammed's death is not caused by the striking doctors, It was caused by an irresponsible government! who will not pay right wages, who will not plan for the future of their citizenry, Adieu AbHammed |

Jesus Christ ressurection has been confirmed from ages past, The Bible is a book that has stood the test of time, It is the inspired word of God, Just let go of Cameron and his cohorts, It's just their showbusiness, they are concerned about, I think Christians should be more concerned about establishing the truth of the Bible than trying to dispprove some human made research, |

Romance / Re: Should I Go After My Baby's Daddy Or Should I Move On With My Life by Blow(m): 1:13pm On Mar 01, 2007 |
I can feel what u're passing thru Get yourself together, Take realistics steps at reconciling with yur baby's fada 1. Pray about the problem at all times 2. Call him and have a heart to heart with him about building a lasting family with him 3. Encourage (dont chase him desperately) him thru text msgs and phone calls. possibly he's confused about the relationship. 4. Ask him politely to share upkeep for the baby with you. (Dont be too hard on him especially if he's not working) 5. If you know any of his friend or relative that is approachable contact them and appeal to them. Jst make sure that you do your best to make him see reasons the two of you has to be together, U have affections for him from wat u've said. And I think he might be at some cross roads. I wish you the best |
Politics / Re: Is Atiku Abubakar Corrupt? by Blow(m): 11:56am On Mar 01, 2007 |
Yes Atiku has been confirmed corrupt officially by three panels of investigation set up by the Federal Government of Nigeria The EFCC found Atiku to be corrupt, (Executive) The FG Investigative panel also concluded that Atiku abused his office, (Executive) The Senate Committee on PTDF found Atiku to have misused his position, (Legislative) No The law courts have not said anything about Atiku being corrupt yet. Infact Atiku has won all his court cases against EFCC, and the Federal Govt. Yes Many Nigerians believe Atiku is corrupt since he's a politician, And there's a generalisation that "All Politicians are corrupt" No Some Nigerians (probably beneficiaries) thinks the man is not that corrupt He throws his wealth around helps people around him and he's a generous man. Atiku himself once said (interview wit a columnist wit THISDAY) that he placed his name at Number one when he was asked to do a list of officers in the Customs living above their income. corruption: lack of integrity or honesty (especially susceptibility to bribery); use of a position of trust for dishonest gain. Yes ATIKU is sure corrupt But can we do another of same thread for "Is OBJ corrupt", El-rufai, Ribadu just to be balanced |
Politics / Re: EFCC Probes President Obasanjo by Blow(m): 11:31am On Mar 01, 2007 |
He who pays the piper dictates the tune If OBJ is corrupt, will Ribadu come out and say it. That Mr. C-in-C, the President of Fed Rep is a thief!, Walahi that would be too much for him to say. So let another judge(President) comes and we can have fair hearing and equally fair pronouncement, The Senate panel report is indeed confusing Both OBJ and Atiku were discovered to hav being involved some kind of wrongdoing. Atiku was indicted and OBJ wasnt, So what is bad for the goose is good for the gander? Thats Nigeria senate for U! |

TV/Movies / Re: Who Deserves The Most Credit For A Good Movie? by Blow(m): 11:02am On Mar 01, 2007 |
Well the Producer is like the Chairman of a company, has got the money to hire this other guys to make a movie, sure deserves some credit. But methinks the scriptwriter or perhaps the author of a book being adapted into the movie (Harry Porter, Lord of the rings, The Godfather) in the actual fact is the originator and inventor of the movie, so deserves much more credit. The directors also should be given a lot of credits as stated by members above, same for cameramen, costume designers and other production crews. However in the real world the ACTORS get the most credit and most celebrated in the movie industries, You can check categories in the Oscars and Golden globe awards. |
Education / Re: Is Yabatech Now A University? by Blow(m): 11:45am On Feb 18, 2007 |
Yabatech been upgraded or converted (whatever u call it) to a University is a good development. It eliminates the discrimination or distinction problem. And also creates more degree(Bachelors and Masters) awarding institution for the country. We are following in the footsteps of countries like UK and US ( they dont have polytechnics). All the polytechnics in UK became full fledged Universities awarding degress in 1992. Some of the tertiary institutions are refferred to as Colleges or institutes of technology but they are still seen as Universities like the Imperial College, MIT. "The UK government recognised that the difference between Polytechnics and universities had become irrelevant and confusing" And the same situation is what we have in Nigeria now. Though the polytechnic systems still work in some countries like France, Switzerland etc. In addition to this conversion we need to improve the standards and facilities in the institutions (Yabatech is far better than most Universities in Nigeria anyway). Check out for more info "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polytechnic#Institutes_of_technology_versus_polytechnics" |
Religion / Re: Kissing and Romancing: Part of Fornication? by Blow(m): 11:05am On Feb 18, 2007 |
Fornication refers disapprovingly to any "sexual activity" outside of the confines of marriage, obviously including pre-marital sex. Sometimes adultery is considered a type of fornication. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fornication |
