mapet:Even if God comes down to warn you of your folly you won't take note. This is Nigeria the land of the zombies. |
deomello:And what if the almighty FG decide to quit the same Lagos state govt from their land? |
Jointhemiltons2:In law, squatters are given privileges for the sake of Peace. You do not wake up and uproot people from their homes. This is wicked! The Lagos state govt is already in breach of a court ruling regarding this same settlement which they ignored and refused to appear in court only for the same useless LASG to employ touts to burn down people's homes and chase them away. This isn't a responsible govt but a very callous and wicked one. |
mapet:And how did you arrive at the conclusion that they are foreigners? Are you even a bona-fide lagosian? When election time comes you will remember to go and campaign in their slums. You are a heartless wicked person |
mapet:Let them Drown in their ignorance. |
Fifthcolumnist:The greatest mistake was the sand filling of the Lekki marshlands. The Lekki marshland consists of shifting sand or shoals. The shoals act as a natural buffer between the Atlantic and the lagoon. During heavy ocean surges, the Lekki shoals helps absorb some of the ocean surge by gradually shifting towards the sea and thus preventing sea water encroachment into the fresh water lagoon and also protecting VI and the mainland from sea surge. The reverse situation occurs with heavy rain and floods draining into the lagoon. The shoal helps prevent the lagoon from emptying into the Ocean. With urban development on the marshland the Ocean surge moved parallel towards Bar beach which led to coastal erosion. Now that they have reclaimed bar beach the Ocean flow is now heading towards the already locked Lekki area which has led to severe coastal erosion. |
ajl:Shut it. That settlement has been in existence long before there was even a place called Nigeria. The most wicked decree ever enacted which the Obasanjo regime smuggled into the 1979 constitution and which was carried into the 1999 constitution remains the Land Use Act which gives all land to the FG with governors as custodians. If you support this rubbish then I see know reason why you will object if the current islamofascists in power wakeup one day to demolish your father's house to make room for grazing reserves for their precious cows. |
AbiolaFawole:Keep deceiving yourself that your slum city is not immune to climate change |
mapet:VI and Lekki gets submerged anytime it rains. The temporary relief VI is enjoying as per ocean surge is because of the land filling currently ongoing which was what caused the erosion of bar beach mainly due to the sand filling of Lekki shoals. Now the water is now racing back to Lekki and we are witnessing severe coastal erosion. Even if I put up a scientific paper here for you to read all you sceptics will still rubbish it. |
Effiezynews:On NL every one is a millionaire. Keep deceiving your wretched self On line big boi If I hear |
koladebrainiac:Speak for your ignorant self |
Effiezynews:Empty barrel beating his flat chest! Abeg go and tell that lie to your fellow ogogoro patrons |
Thatitan234:VI, Lekki and Ajah are below sea level The sand filling of Lekki marshland (which used to act as a natural shoal buffer between the Atlantic, Lagoon and adjacent mainland) led to serious coastal erosion at the VI bar beach. Subsequent sand filling of the VI bar beach to its original extent has led to ocean currents flowing parallel and towards the Lekki marshy areas thus leading to the severe coastal erosion in Lekki environs. With projected sea level rise owing to accelerated ice cap melts in the arctic, the coastal erosion and ocean encroachment will be unprecedented. The Eko project is doomed and VI and Lekki will be under the atlantic. Even the Lagos lagoon is threatened with the destruction of the natural shoals in Lekki as a result of urban development, the Atlantic will extend towards Ebutta-Meta, Yaba and Apapa. Oworonshoki will also be wiped out. I am an Oceanographer |

jarkbauer:Yes they do and that's what has kept Tboss in the house. Bbn will employ the collegiate system. Efe wins Nigeria but Tboss wins Africa. Efe wins the majority count but Tboss wins the college votes |
Effiezynews:I am not rooting for anyone be it tboss or efe. I believe most jobless people that watch this dry show see a bit of their wretched no talent loser self in Efe. Efe is your fairy tale story from rags to riches which loafers like yourself cling on in hope say una go hammer. Efe and everyone in that house remains a jobless loser and all you efe fans fall squarely into that group of loafers. Get a life |
The grazing routes is targeting southern lands to be appropriated to Fulani herdsmen. No governor should agree to this rubbish |
OBAGADAFFI:I tell you. All this is to clear way for land developers. Not knowing that the barrier shoal and Marsh land they have filled up will end up under the sea. |
Effiezynews:What is there to like about that fake ass dry rapper? |
Tboss will win because she's got the foreign vote. Kenyans, South Africans, Botswana, Uganda and Ghanaians prefer here. As for Efe I don't even know why people like that nigga |
Destined2win:They are not evacuating the settlements over hygiene but for their own greed. Climate change will reward them in 20yrs. |
Within the next 20yrs, Lagos Island, V.I., Ajah, Lekki, Epe will be under the Lagoon. All this is vanity. The multibillion naira settlements they hope to build on poor people's land will be washed into the Ocean. The wickedness they are doing to this poor people will be rewarded back a hundred folds in 20yrs. Climate chanji is here |

Jaideyone:The source is the Ministry of Education signed by the Minister of Education a fellow northerner. Stop deceiving yourself |
If you have read Segun Adeniyi's book, Power, Politics & Death - which detailed the last days of late Musa Yaradua- you will find where Segun detailed how Sahara Reporters owner Sowore called him almost immediately after a meeting in Aso Rock to clarify details that were discussed. Also if you have seen the wikileaks cables between the then US ambassador and the head of Shell Nigerian where the Shell boss stated that they had close confidants within the corridors of power and in govt to both inform them of future policy directives and also influence same, then it ought to clear that Aso Rock is filled with moles. Bringing us to SR and Sowore, who want us to believe they conduct investigative journalism, all we get from SR is "confidential source" or "undisclosed source ". It is very obvious that Sowore operates a "pay or shame" outfit and on the side gets paid to also degenerate others. Sowore is nothing but a blackmailer and his useless SR an extortion racket! |
yarimo:The Shia god and Biafran Jehhovah have teamed up to make the old tyrant's reign on the throne vanity |
Jaideyone:Opinions are like arseh0les. Everyone has one and every other stinks! Your useless opinion can not refute facts! |
Jaideyone:Take your grouse up with the useless apc anointed minister of education |
