3Ceagle:Wow finally someone with sense. I really wonder why these parties are scared to go to court or simply rip up the agreement. The agreement isn't a sacred document that can't be voided if need be. Personally I dont believe the state is telling the truth about owning the schools. If they did own then there's no need to negotiate rules like uniforms in an institution the state owns. |
helinues:Don't cry to the mods over some weird pussy. The idiot didn't know what to do when his empty threats were challenged. Its always better to mock these clowns. |
Truthisunique3:Lol just like I thought you're a powerlees clown and with an imaginary friend. You were talking like you're light yagami with the death note. Ok don't comment or make anymore mumu threats if you or your imaginary friend can't back it up. https://pa1.narvii.com/7290/9cebce88031b420cf2fd491ef99bbd2a9fd9f80ar1-355-200_hq.gif |
Truthisunique3:Lol clown are you going to make my sorrowful death happen or pray to your imaginary friend to do it? I dont do respond to empty threats just ask your questions without acting like a mumu. |
Truthisunique3:Clown if that's the case the school should simply reject the money like the other missionary schools did just like I suggested in option 1. The rest of your paragraph is pointless ramblings. Its already established the school takes state government money. Voiding the agreement is the best option in my opinion. |
Truthisunique3:Lol I didn't shift the goal post clown. I said it's not right for secular government to fund religious schools. Rejecting funds would free the school from the states demands. Again why do you want money over autonomy? Is the government cheese that sweet? |
Truthisunique3:Lol why do you want government in your life so bad? Does it make sense government funds religious schools in secular state? Do you also agree with state-sponsored pilgrimages to Mecca and Israel? Do you also agree with state-sponsored pilgrimages to Mecca and Israel? You Nigerians are werid. Kwara is dumb for not just threatening to cut off funding. It's the easiest way to twist arms. People don't seem to understand money can buy influence. Horus:A little bit off topic but sure. The atheist society of Nigeria's law suit against Akwa Ibom could potentially do that. They're sueing them over the church they're constructing saying secular states shouldn't be allowed to do that under the law. If they lose here it might ripple effect all over the society. Sadly the case seems to be stalled.
|
Blue3k:Option one is the best in my opinion stay private and reject their rules. Everyone understands who ever pays the piper calls the tune at the end of the day. This funding is a coercive influence they have the option of doing away with but it seems they desire the money over their autonomy. |
chrisblack:The tax payer doesn't owe anything for your private venture. None if the above would happen if the government would simply leave these issues alone but Nigerians want to remain bacmwards. I agree with equal protections under the law. |
The Hijab crisis is simply a legal dispute over property rights and religious freedom. Does the school have the right to dictate dress code for students. The answer depends on if the school is private or public. The other matter at hand is what agreement between the state and school regarding administrative duties. The issue simply gets muddy because of the emotional reactions by the religious. Option 1. Oyun Baptist High School rejects any state funding along with conditions attached with the funds. Ban the hijab and ask students who won't want to obey the rule to transfer. Option 2. If Oyun Baptist High School thinks the state is infringeding on their agreement and religious freedom they should go to court. The court has to figure out which party is in charge of administrative duties. Option 3. Allow students to wear hijab and move on. Assuming the school is state owned like Kwara state claims they have to. State school follow state laws and regulations. “The Kwara State Government totally condemns the resort to violence in the government-owned Oyun Baptist Secondary School, Ijagbo, on Thursday. This is totally unacceptable. Ajayi, who said that CAN had an MoU with the state government since June 2021 on the resolution of the hijab crisis which had not been implemented by the government, however, said, “It has been said times without number that we cannot and will not allow the use of the hijab in our missionary schools.Front page: Lalasticlala Mynd44 |
lagosrd:Seems it's best the school divorces it's tied from the state government. Reject the money and their demands and move on. If not they have to sue. |
Sasi54:A part time job while in school? |
Lol if this story is true I'd sue for damages and get paid. A criminal suit would also be good to teach this criminals a lesson. Remember tomorrow idiots will tell you these guys are protecting your freedoms. |
“It has been said times without number that we cannot and will not allow the use of the hijab in our missionary schools. Why not void this agreement foregoing state funding in order to keep your autonomy? Most of these issues arose because the school got in bed with the devil. Keep the government out of your affairs whenever possible. Option 2 is going to court showing how the government is violating the agreement. Everything's a crisis in this country because they dont permanent resolutions. |
Validated:The state government claimed it was in one article I read. The probably took it over at some point. If it's private its fine people need to learn to respect propety rights in this country. Most of these so called crisis occur because they want forced integration. “The Kwara State Government totally condemns the resort to violence in the government-owned Oyun Baptist Secondary School, Ijagbo, on Thursday. This is totally unacceptable. |
Lol you can even find an Example of this going on Maryland. 3 of their countries want to join West Virginia. Lol West Virginia is more than happy to annex them if Maryland except their request.
|
If the school is state owned it falls under state laws and regulations. It's private it has the latitude to make its own dress codes. People don't need to coexist in the same spaces go to your own. |
Blue3k:Recent news going on in Oregon shows its still picking up traction with 8th county deciding to join Idaho. It's going to make uts way to the ballot and we'll see if it actually passes. It's unknown if Idaho wants them or if Oregon is will to part with these rural Republican counties. The petitioners pretty much want all of east Oregon to join Idaho. In Nigeria this process would test the resolve of people who really care about secession or even state creation. Lol it's always supported somewhere else not when the people want their political divorce from you. Getting local government on board should be easy, then they'll invite state reps and federal ones will join in when enough noise is made. Front page: Lalasticlala Mynd44

lebuhsi:Tell me about the tax to GDP ratio or tax to debt ratio then explain how you're going to pay it one generation. |
ume1000:You can't half adopt a system. The Electoral college works well because every state get 2 senators to satisfy smaller states. Larger states benefit from have more house representatives due to population size. In Nigeria house of reps number doesn't change decade to decade like in the United States. Also the electoral college works because the founders in America didn't care about democracy because its mob rule. Nigerians love the idea of democracy. The goal was to maximize individual liberty and make sure a tyrannical federal government didn't arise hence why most power was conferred to States. |
No pure hausa man has ruled Nigeria either. Why are you crying because someone didn't win an election? People talk like taking office is a birthright. |
Myer:I agree it would be scary for Nigeria if they can't control monetary policy. I doubt they honestly want to surrender that power. I wouldn't be surprised if a Greek style crisis occurred a few years down the road. That happened because Greece lied and borrowed too much. Germany had to reluctantly bail them out. |
Lol but didn't he endorse one? Idiots started claiming its Hollywood special effects and prop money he was given.
|
biotechshola: atheistandproud:You two are silly. This arguement can be ended by citing the official student handbook or calling or emailing the school. Lol you two must have social anxiety or something. |
chatinent:Lol this coming from Nigerians who see virtue in power rotations. Instead of debating policy everyone debate who section should have next. You hardly see candidates give interviews or debate. Take Akwa Ibom 2019 election where APC and PDP didn't bother debating knowing their constituency would vote anyway. donleo92:When its like that you'll need corporate backers if you want to replace the proverbial Godfathers. Running campaigns are expensive affairs. It seems Nigeria collects from the aspirants upfront instead political donors. |
Bump |
Lol state assemblies are the real rubber stamp assemblies people love to ignore. I dont know if this man did what he's accused of but he'll have his day to defend himself. KingOfTheDamned:Yawn when are you going to reddit or some other forum? |
The article does show these godfathers aren't all powerful the voters just need to shun them. The reality is people vote very partisan in certain areas so a win a primary guarantees victory in the general election. If in open primary where candidates have to debate each other doesn't spur change there's not much to be done. helinues:Remember it doesn't count unless Tinubu endorsement fails either in the primary or general election. Never mind if the voters just happened to agree with Tinubu.
|
ogastanlee:Lol are you telling us he was rigged out? Even Ambode doest claim this. If you have evidence present it. |
This was the case of the former Governor of Lagos state, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode; based on his track records and achievements in the state, he was to return for the second term, he deserved it, but due to his insubordination to Tinubu, “the Lagos mafia God father”, he was denied the second term ticket.Lol even if you lose in a party primary Godfatherism is still to blame. If that's the case closed primary or open primary it doesn't matter unless you get the results you like. Front page: Lalasticlala Mynd44 |
Jerryherd:Doesn't Toyota Ghanaian manufacturers have access to Nigerians because of ECOWAS free trade in this example. I think you should switch the country in the example. |
inoki247:Thanks for the tip. |
