alaribe1992: I am an undergraduate of a high institution in Owerri, so I've been home due to the closure of schools Nationwide.
There's this girl whose mom owns a drinking bar somewhere around my street, she's an undergraduate too, but she's been home too during this lockdown. I've been seeing this girl for years but started developing feelings for her suddenly.
I approached her as a sharp guy and collected her number. She wasn't using a smart phone then, so we communicate through phone calls. At first our conversations was smooth and sweet, and it was like a match made in heaven, we haven't gone out for a date due to she always stays in her mom's shop and her mom is a very strict woman. Her dad is late. I told this girl my mind, that I'd like us to date and she agreed.
To cut the story short
After a week she started acting strange, sometimes she wouldn't pick my calls and she won't call back, she got a smart phone and was back on WhatsApp. She replies my text late after seeing them.
On Sunday afternoon I called her and she busied my call, a friend of mine who lives opposite their shop called me on phone telling me the girl was outside their shop and was over the phone with someone for a long time. I called her again and she busied my call again, I texted her on WhatsApp to ask her what her problem was.
After a day, she replied on WhatsApp that she's sorry. Well today she just texted me that she's no longer interested in the relationship that she just wants to be left alone. Note that we haven't even had a time together all this while due to the fact I didn't want to rush things with her and she was always at her mom's shop.
I want to know how someone that likes you before just wakes up and all of a sudden no longer interested in you again without any provocation.
Thank you So as an Undergrad, a woman is your problem? So much so that you even created a topic for it on Nairaland? I hope you remember the kind of country you live in? There are hardly any Jobs left for the fresh grads. Hence, you have to stand out one way or another in the job market via Good grades, skills learnt etc Yet, you're distracted by a worthless female? I hope tomorrow you won't create a topic with the title "What can I do with 2.2/Third class degree" because that's where you're heading if you don't face front Continue, you hear? |

TheSuperNerd: A Semi Ajayi Promotion Titbit
#VeryInterestingFact
In the 2018/2019 Championship season, Semi Ajayi got relegated to league one with Rotherham Utd at the home ground/pitch of West Brom. The match ended 2-1 with Semi starting in midfield.
Fast forward, West Brom signed him and another campaign began. The 2019/2020 Championship season.
Now today, on this same West Brom pitch where he got relegated last season, he has just secured promotion to the EPL.
Same pitch, relegated to EFL league one last season but promoted to the EPL this season.
Both events happened on the same pitch. What a story.
Football is beautiful and full of twists.
Congrats Big Semi. Another Super Eagle in a Big 5 league. This semi guy is a giant ooo |

What happens to all the kits after the academy. Why are they denied proper kits? Its in the front lines these kits are really needed |

MrSuama: I don't know if I would ever make it into the army but if I do, I hope to give my best. Having followed the happenings over the past years, from losing two cousins (a Colonel & a Lt Colonel), to seeing how soldiers and insurgents execute their captives, to seeing how our soldiers were shown on France 24 fleeing for their dare life's after been overpowered by the insurgents some four or five years ago. I have come to realise we need snipers and am hoping and planning of being the most successful one if destiny prevails. All the best to everyone, I wish we could all be commissioned this year. Remember, he who runs lives to fight another day. Sometimes running (officially known as tactical withdrawal) is the best option. It happens everywhere and some successful war veterans have applied the approach. Even insurgents withdraw to regroup, restrategize and ultimately launch an offensive. Finally, for those who will make it, if you want to live to tell the stories of sambisa, think like an insurgent and act like one in the theatre of war. If they give us guerrilla tactics we give em back the guerrilla style because sometimes what we would learn at jaji and Kaduna no go add up for North East and West. Victory is from God alone. And in him we put all our trust. I wonder if their curriculum is updated to mirror the harsh realities of insurgency |

explosiveskull: Seconded. I really never liked this awkward ak to start with, I heard it comes with only 30 rounds per magazine. Another thing is that our soldiers to be retrained time from time cos you'll see a soldier mounting roadblock and can be in this road block posting for years and in those years never shot his gun or saw any fire fight, wouldn't them must have forgotten how to aim and shoot accurately. Am of the opinion that in every 6 months depending on your corp to always go for retraining. You're right about the retraining aspect You see ehn, a former retired staff sergeant said something in an interview with sahara reporters that irked me. He said that when funds for training abroad comes for the NCOs (that is privates, corporals, sergeants etc), the senior officers (even colonel) will drop rank so that they can go abroad for the training.....and yet, they refuse to even implement such in the battlefield... Since the training wasn't even meant for them in the first place |

hargbajaylorla: Honestly those AKs our soldiers are carrying are eyesore, and they don't even look intimidating at all. Our Soldiers are using rusty Aks. Bokos, ISWAP, Bandits, Armed robbers, Cultist, Area boys are also using the same thing. Forget about the durability or ruggedity of the rifle, this is not what the Army of a big country like Nigeria supposed to be using. Okay tell me what the NA is supposed to be.using....? |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Nigerian Army SSC And DSSC 2016/2017 Forum by Blueelf: 10:32pm On Jul 21, 2020 |
jelraj: I don't think so, the sniper rifle is not a very mobile weapon.. It's more like a long distance kind kg of weapon. Which infantry soldier will want to be carrying such around?
I think there are special people trained for that kind of weapon. The sniper rifle isn't designed for close quarter combat and isn't ideal in those scenarios. It is used for taking out long range targets. The assault rifle is designed for close range combat |

AirmanB: Amen! God knows how much I love my country, n how much I would love to fight for her honor.
Bur it seems dar d country doesn't love it's citizens, d prefer Politicians to drive in bullet proof cars Dan soldiers in NE. How can I convert a truck used for mobility of personnels n building materials to military patrol trucks, it's wickedness.
One landmine n everyone dere is gone, or even if d survive, enemies in bush can fire bullets at d just exploded vehicle to ensure dat no1 survives.
I know dat Ak47 is still an Excellent assault rife, but wad happens to upgrading it to d M series ??
I hardly see NAF n NN personnels with crude weapons even their escort convoys are eye appeasing. I will jst apply for all of dem sha, bur if NN or NAF pick me, na good bye to NA b dat. Let me educate you on the bolded..... An advantage the AK series has over the M16 and M1s is the fact that the Aks hardly jam even when exposed to adverse weather conditions. Also, the Mseries are very expensive and harder to maintain...you need special oils to even clean them unlike the AK 47 The AK-47 also has a longer range...only disadvantage is the recoil, so it isn't as accurate as the M series weapons What we need are newer AK rifles to replace the older ones... Hope this helps |
