sikowitz17: I hope they’ll not ask us to bunch up like we usually do sitting on the floor spreading and contacting corona lol... No lele They may increase their intake this year or lower some of their requirements....who knows With the way officers are dying (along with youth interests in the Army), this years screening would be very interesting |

odimbannamdi: Chill till portal gets opened. The army may state 29 as maximum age.
But, to be a little bit proactive, he can begin now to swear affidavits and align his documents to a reduced age. Thanks brother Well appreciated |

ugo4u: One can't say untill army opens their registration portal and list the requirements they need. But going by last year's requirements your friend would have been eligible to go for SSC as the age cap was 28 by January 2020. Thanks brother |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Nigerian Army SSC And DSSC 2016/2017 Forum by Blueelf: 1:29pm On Jul 19, 2020 |
sikowitz17: ideally he has a more recent certificate to tender and there’s no way the army would reject a masters expect if some other issues dey.. that additional age can be overlooked.. a lot of things are overlooked during screening Thanks brother |

I also have another question for the experienced candidates in the house. I am asking on behalf of a friend
He is already 28 this year (July 1 ) and he had his BSc in 2011 and Msc in 2019, is he still eligible for SSC?
cc Ugo4u, odimbanmamdi, sikowitz, ltchisom, and many others
Thanks in anticipation |

odimbannamdi: Lol...na one General talk am ooo
I drink Corona Beer, specially brewed in China. Buy at least two bottles. 1 for me , 1 for you... lolll. No wahala I will give you a scenario In the Vietnam war, it was said that mustangs(those that were NCOs which later became commissioned) made better officers than westpoint cadets...the reasons given were maturity and experience in combat situations. You see that Maturity factor ehn, it is very key... In combat, men are already hyper-stressed and it takes an emotionally intelligent officer to manage such men in order to achieve stated objectives and complete assigned missions.... I personally feel its a good idea to assign more mature leaders. God will surely see us through My only worry is the diminished morale of the fighting men in the NE due to inadequate care and support. |

odimbannamdi: A decade is equivalent to 10years, so 4 decades is equivalent to 40years. If you have lived in the barracks for 4 decades, that means you are at least 40years. Interesting!
Kindly take the effort to articulate your thoughts and write in a comprehensible manner. The Army watches out for these things. Besides, you are hurting our eyes here.
Thanks. Thanks for your matured responses to him Loopholes dey for him comments but i decided to keep mum |

odimbannamdi: Drill shed!! Chai! Memories are flooding in!
The late Arotile (of blessed memory), was just 23 when she got commissioned into the Armed Forces through RC. That is mostly the case for most RC combatants. They are usually very young, upon commissioning, and lack most soft and emotionally skills needed to lead men at the theatre.
That is why the Army prefer to send SSC guys to the NE. By the time they are through with the conventional university education, NYSC and some civilian work experience, they must have seen life from different perspectives. With the ultimate touch of life in NDA for 9months, they will emerge better fighters. Exactly, you just mirrored what is on my mind but said it better What do you like to drink? Send me your house address and its all yours |

sikowitz17: its normal... All I know is there are still people in course 44 and 45 who hasn’t/didn’t die in NE... that’s motivation enough... people dey retire.. but last last it’ll be to marry and give birth early Cos if death comes, we must leave proof that we were here.. some of my guys wey no marry before dem die ehn! I felt for them But leaving your young family early (death) is just as painful if not more To be sure, what's the age limit for SSC bro? |
