A car dealer lamenting how Tinubu's government has increased Customs' duty 3 different times in 2 years of this administration.
|
A concerned citizen makes a video of a portion of the coastal road that has erosion sweeping away the underlying landmass holding the road. He is concerned the road may likely suffer damage in the future due to no drainage
I thought they said Tinubu padi's construction company that got the contract of the road is highly experienced, hence why they got the contract awarded to them without following due process. |
Ellexy:Omo! Can those cars in the flood start again? I just hope the water will not carry reptiles enter people's houses o |
OkpaNsukkaisBae: ![]() Those ones never know wetin really dey happen for the country until dem graduate finish NYSC. Even people with work and years of experience are finding it hard to save after paying basic bills from their salary. I still help person draft Letter requesting for salary increase from his employers last week. He just had to voice out because his take-home was no longer taking him home. |
Ellexy:That guy no know wetin dey do am. The only thing that is of concern to me is that the guy too will grow old and some young people will be listening to him as an "elder" |
iamoyindamola:Fun Fact: Monerozi is actually a Christian Northerner. Sarki on the other hand na Islamic extremist going by his political and religious views. |
iamoyindamola:Na just a little moment of sobriety before he slipped back into his default mode. If u see the kind things he dey type the week Buhari's death was announced, u go think say Buhari dash his family $100k like Emilokan dey dash our athlethes ![]() |
KingTom:Na why I dey tell Iamoyindamola say people like that no fit change, even if e touch them personally. |
iamoyindamola:I doubt that will change anything. That weyrey Sarki Wasspaping on twitter that was pro-Buhari until dem kidnap him brother and he had to grovel like a beggar online appealing for funds to pay ransom. He has since gone back to abuse the people that crowd funded him when those ones called out Buhari's wickedness after his demise. “My sincere apologies to the Igbos for all I’ve tweeted about you guys in the past. I don’t mean any of those things. It usually comes from a place of frustration when your influencers direct derogatory words and insults towards northerners. Let love lead henceforth,” “I know people would mock me, but I simply have no any other option, twitter is my last resort. Please I need you guys to donate with the little you have so we can free my brother from the hands of this animals. ACC NO: 1007737506, ZENITH BANK. Please kindly help me retweet.”The guy tweeted the above when his brother was kidnapped and the Buhari he spent his youth assslicking couldn't do anything for him. The way he has gone back to insulting those that help him secure funds for his brother's release, u will know he didn't learn anything even when it touched him personally. |
izzou:But the annoying thing is we have seen this happen before. We were all here during Buhari's 8 years. We saw how people would make excuse for disaster happening before our eyes and people would explain away his ill-informed decisions. People defended closure of boarder while the price of rice keeps going higher and higher. People made excuse for him that inflation happens everywhere and even claimed the country would've exploded if Buhari hadn't stepped in to take control of the ship. Those same people turned back to distance themselves from Buhari's maladministration and are here today selling the misery of this administration as prosperity which the ordinary eyes cannot see, it can only be seen through the eyes of a BAT. There's even nothing to argue about sef. |
izzou:The bold na wetin dey always burst my head. I give kudos to people like Segedinho who suddenly gained renewed energy to dey follow dem drag what is not. ![]() Even on twitter, the paid influencers can't point to the things the government has done to make the lives of people better in any way. All they do is form rehetorics about other ex-presidential candidates who are not in power. The gazillions of spokespersons for the government would rather insult members of the opposition instead of reeling out the achievements of their principal that has calumniated into better life for the people. Its a shame! a 4cking disgrace! |
izzou: ![]() We need to be jolting them to reality of things while they are busy singing song of audio prosperity. Omo! I no blame men and women above 30 that have refused to marry citing state of the economy o. To raise a family this days cost an arm and leg o. |
Theflint1:*In the voice of okpebholo’s hypeman . * Nigeria is shining ….. una no go thank Mr. president ?
|
By the time Emilokan finishes with middle class Nigerians wey Dey follow abroadians who have no skin in the game to join Agbado gang, their blood is gonna dry ! He has increased customs duty again ; for young graduate with few years of work experience to be able to afford even a Naija used car now, na war . All this one Dey happen , that weyrey boy Dey brag about AC blazing , Wi-fi and Jollof rice he ate at the APC digital summit 😂. We must learn a lesson !
|
Since grok enter naija twitter , e never rest ![]()
|
sebod:This is the truth of the whole matter. This is why I don’t blame the friend for posting the matter on social media at all. The guy never proved to be a good friend at any point in time ; either before he left naija or after he left . |
Ibime:That's why I said except he's in jail or dead, there's no justification for him not to have called even if it's just for a minute. |
Roland17:He can have any of the above listed challenges as a new immigrant and still put in effort to spare a minute to say hi to his OG with whom he stayed before he relocated. I think it takes being intentional to do that. If he had reached out to the guy once and then ghosted him afterwards, I would agree with ur viewpoint up there. If he is still alive and not in prison at the moment, then he messed up not keeping in touch till now. The fact that he left naija the way he did also didn't hel his case at all. |
izzou:Theflint1 dey do like say no be work person work to see the money person wan use buy the land. The fact that the money for the land was not stolen or a gift should actually make anyone observe all necessary due diligence. Why should I drop money for a land when we've not crossed all the t's and dot the i's? Even yahoo boys wey dey see money yanfu-yanfu dey carry either family member or a lawyer to help them do every due diligence before dropping money for land. Any land deal in which one is being pressured to drop money and develop ASAP is definitely a suspicious transaction. |
afrodoc2:I guess he just wasn't paying too much attention to it. |
iamoyindamola:The families don't develop the lands, they hold it and sell it as they so please. It is now ur own duty to obtain government's approval if u want to develop those lands u bought from the family. |
GloriousGbola:3 years is a whole lot of time to ghost person wey u commot from him house go enter plane. That is just the plain truth. Even people wey end up for asylum camp in Europe dey reach out to their people in naija |
afrodoc2:The guy might want to overlook it on the premise that most of us Africans are paranoid and would hide our travelling plans till it was almost too late. One of my friends, we went for his wedding engagement on Sunday and by Monday, the wife he engaged travelled to Canada; not for once did he even mention to us the wife was billed to travel anytime soon. Na when I call am on Monday he told me he was at the airport seeing his wife off; I was surprised but I just shrugged it off that it was just normal naija paranoia thingy. So maybe the guy didn't read too much into the guy informing him late about his traveling plans, but the biggest mess up was not checking up on him even after spending years abroad. |
iamoyindamola:Most of those lands dem Adron and PWAN sell to people as part of their estates, they do buy it from land owning families/royal families in the host communities. For example most of the people who built around Ikate/Elegushi bought their lands originally from the Elegushi Royal family. Recently I saw a video of a community in Oyo state protesting against Adron Homes, they said he's claiming to have bought a part of their community but they are denying selling to him. They said he has promised to come with soldiers and policemen to falsefully take possession despite court order pronouncing both parties maintain status quo till the case is heard in court. That kind land now, Adron will go ahead to sell it after some time and years later if a son of that community becomes governor or deputy governor, he will use state power to get the land back for his people. By then a lot of people will cry. Omo, this country ehn..... |
popizaino:You are right. Except the guy ended up in prison when he landed abroad, he has no reason not to have checked up on his guy after 3 years of travelling. Even if abroad rough for am, at least he should put call through to his G that was there for him when nobody else was. |
raumdeuter:Most of the lands/properties currently being sold don't have C of O/Governor's consent. One bros that works as an agent for these real estate companies told me recently that getting governor's consent is actually quite expensive, it cost millions in Lagos state. He said most of the real estate being sold don't have it because the cost implication on the vendors is not reflected in some of the prices they quote. I have a feeling that for government to come out boldly and make this claim; they know a whole lot of the companies involved may have settled the regulators to overlook them, but they still don't have the requisite documents that will protect the property from government's action in the future. |
Theflint1:There are a whole lot of real estate vendors that are fraudulent, even the most popular ones. We dey rea their stories almost everyday |
Theflint1:Don't be so sure, the same Adron homes has been called out severally for being a fraudulent company. https://fij.ng/article/to-get-his-refund-adron-homes-tells-europe-based-nigerian-to-give-up-30-of-his-n16-85m-payment/ |
iamoyindamola:Don't be so sure. Don't make bold statements on behalf of those real estate companies, u will be disappointed if government actually prove they didn't authorize approval of the estates and the estate developers can't provide the documents they obtained from government that bears the state government's logo. What I've come to learn is that anything can happen in this Nigeria. The best thing is to wait and see how this plays out; let's see if the concerned estates will be able to prove their case |
iamoyindamola:Well, if Government is saying they don't have approval shebi it is their word against the owners of the estate ? I guess those that have approval will bring out their approval now that the government is alleging they didn't give them approval na. |
izzou:A lot of people will cry when the government eventually decides to go after the estates that don't pass the regularization process. A lot of real estate companies have sprung up in the last few years laying claim to ownership of several estates along that axis. I have always had my doubt about how all of them could be genuine and duly approved. The way their marketers will swear by all the gods they can think of in a bid to convince u ; they would even claim the estate has a "global C of O". We might say the government waited for too long to come out with this, but still it is better late than later. At least now that the government is putting this out, those that are yet to start development on the land will put a hold to any of such plans. It is better losing the virgin land now than losing the land and whatever structure they erect few years to come when such property owner may be retired and not have any income hustle another apartment. |
