GloriousGbola:The customs duty on luxury vehicles is 70% of the vehicles cost. Let's not talk about bribes ghat will still follow |
Theflint1:All this one wey u dey talk na cap. Nobody will make enough money to be able to buy 400 million cybertruck from buying and selling wigs and hairs in Lagos. |
GloriousGbola:Baba, the cheapest cybertruck listed on Jìjì is N350m. And that's the cheapest he will get here in Lagos |
Tinubu his successor and Tinubu's handlers claimed Buhari ruined Nigeria's economy. So, is Garba Shehu saying his former boss ruined Nigeria's economy and still ended up broke after leaving office? |
raumdeuter:I guess she has achieved what she set out to when she put out the video. At least the whole social media is talking about her and her brand. Mission accomplished. |
https://www.nairaland.com/8464339/gazette-accuses-wike-allocating-1740 I thought Wike is a lawyer and his wife a judge. If people's gazette is making this story up like Lere Olayinka keeps insisting, why is he not suing them? I mean Lere Olayinka's rebuttals are not convincing , yet the civil servants supplying People's gazette info keep insisting Wike's hand is deep in the cookie jar |
Emaprince:It may be a joint effort. |
raumdeuter:It was that period I knew that the fear of criminals probably getting caught by security agencies is the only reason criminals have not overrun many communities. The moment that fear is taken out , u will be surprised at how criminals will operate with full impunity even in broad daylight. Even those of us that didn't join dem bros to do vigilante overnight, we support them with ogogoro other form of moral support for standing in the gap for the police. |
Amigoss:Dem no rate us at all. ![]() The fact that she was even mentioning thr name of the car dealer that sold the cybertruck to her in the video now makes me want to agree with Izzou that everything was a set-up to promote her hair brand and even the car dealer's brand too |
TemporaryHansel:Sha ni collect loan start the business before Bank's loan recovery team go seize Ur house when u are unable to breakeven and pay back their loan 😂 |
izzou:That's another possibility Sha. Nothing people no dey do for clout these days. |
Olowunl01:Baba, those ladies have expenses too. For example the vendor ur daughter patronized will be located in a cosmopolitan part of Lagos where she will be paying rent to the tune of millions. She will buy diesel almost every day to power her store/shop, she will have staff she pays salaries too and they also pay influencers millions for advert to maintain visibility. It's not like they make those millions and don't spend out of it at all. Anybody who can pack over N350m to buy a Cybertruck in this Nigeria will definitely have more than double of that stored somewhere as savings. I don't think that's the case with these ladies in question. |
Emaprince:To be fair to her o, I really don't know what her husband does because it appears she's married with 3 kids. So I rule out the possibility of she being OS. Maybe her husband financed the purchase of the Cybertruck , maybe not; one thing I'm very sure of is that selling wigs and women hairs in Lekki phase 1 would not make her afford that Cybertruck. |
liveLongNprospa:They call it content creation. If they don't give u, how will u take it? She said she's the first Nigerian woman to buy and own a Tesla Cybertruck in Nigeria ![]() |
TemporaryHansel:Did u see the Hair vendor that trended recently for taking delivery of her Tesla Cybertruck? She was even interviewed by Egungun of Lagos. They asked her how she was able to afford the cybertruck; she claimed it was from proceeds of her wigs and hair business. Person use hair and wigs business buy car that the cheapest model is N350m in Nigeria ![]() |
swiz123:Until the person wey u Wan use Ur fist tackle him case fall down and die, na then u go learn say behind counter no be hotel. 😂 |
swiz123:Yes, he funded the operation. Paying a couple of hundred thousand naira to recover a car worth millions is not a wrong move if u ask me. I'm not saying it is right for the police to be charging citizens to do their jobs, but we will be lying to ourselves we don't agree the security agencies are underfunded. |
afrodoc: ![]() He wants someone to tell him what he already knows. |
Emaprince:I also pay my taxes too and that's why I don't take serious ediiiots who try to gaslight me for criticizing government officials for mismanaging public funds. I will criticize government for wasting money on white elephant projects, I will criticize government for spending billions on renovating their luxurious government houses. That was why I criticized Sanwoolu when the news broke out that Lagos State government under his watch budgeted over 3 billion naira for perfume and air diffusers about 2 years ago. Anybody who lives and pay his taxes where such anomalies happen has a right to voice out his displeasure. I don't pay attention to political lackeys and slaves online who thinks the politicians should be worshipped for misappropriating public funds. |
izzou:I'm not saying road blocks should be mounted on Gbagada road or any other road o, I am only pointing it out that at times that road block we destest could've made the difference(if it is used well by the security agencies). I am one person who normally detest police stop and search on normal state roads and trunk C roads. One day I was complaining and a friend of mine said the police actually make arrests via thos roadblocks which are grossly under reported. He said he has been at a police station when they brought in suspected robbers who were arrested inside Keke Napep with Locally made pistol found in their possession after random stop and search. One of the police officers now said that is actually not the first, second or third arrest of that manner they are making since the year started. I know Naija police dey hustle for themselves with that their road blocks o, but dem dey also take criminals out of circulation too. |
Amigoss:Most of the highlights I've seen were not impressive and didn't give the vibe of real competitive Matches. You know the kind of vibe u will get in a standard UCL match, it was missing. |
Ihebu4chelsea:I watched highlight of Juve vs Man city and it was a joke. |
Amigoss:Baba the club world cup is a competition played school teachers, barbers, construction workers and part time footballers from new Zealand. If Perez decides to gift his already rich players more money to motivate them just to boost his own ego, good for him and the team. If any top European team catch those Saudi club for real competitive match, dem go flog wetin no good commit their body. |
afrodoc2:I guess most people are angry with the current state of things , but they are failing to see how it could've been worse. I watched a video recently on Youtube in which one lady was interviewed by Lucky Udu to share her "one chance" experience. The Lady narrated how she boarded a vehicle on a Monday morning to work on the Island ; unfortunately for her the vehicle turned out to be "one chance". She was driven all over Gbagada, Anthony, Ikeja etc in the early hours of the morning while the criminals were hitting her legs with hammer to force her give her banking app password and ATM pins at gun point. At the end of the day, the lady was badly injured and lost her savings to the criminals. One thing she said that caught my attention was that she was pissed there was no police checkpoint on the roads while she was being driven around Lagos and being attacked by the criminals. She felt if there had been checkpoints mounted maybe around Gbagada or Ikeja axis, they would've busted the criminals who held her in their car against her will. Now, I have been frequenting that route for a while now and I remember like 2 to 3 years ago there used to be some special police tactical unit that do mount roadblock around Charley Boy bus stop on that Gbagada axis. Most times people cuss them for causing unnecessary slow-moving traffic due to their "stop and Search". It was ironic hearing the lady wish those same policemen we used to cuss mounted the road blocks we love to hate. |
semid4lyfe:I agree the Saudi investment will succeed where the Chinese failed. But I don't think realistically those Saudi teams can beat their European counterparts in real competitive games. I've not had chance to follow this World club cup fully, but most of the highlights of the matches I've seen just gives the vibe of Pre-season matches which most teams don't take seriously, instead the coaches use it to experiment new tactics, test new players and fine tune their squad ahead of the new season. |
Emaprince:Baba, the point Raumdeuter was making and which I agree with him on is that as bad as Nigeria police are; their absence is not desirable at all. In the days that followed the ENDSARS massacre, most policemen downed towns across Lagos state and most communities were on edge. Men formed themselves into vigilante groups keeping watch over their communities for fear of being overrun by criminals in the absence of police. There was serious fear and apprehension across various communities . If u lived in a middle class environment that time, u will understand that fear. Nigerian police have their various failings o, but they are like the ones holding this our society from descending into total chaos. The typical Nigerian would not even behave well without being compelled to, now imagine the criminals amongst us being given free rein in the absence of police? And yes, it is our taxes that is being used to fund the police and other security agencies. I know someone personally who had his car stolen at a car wash in Oshodi Lagos and Nigeria police helped him track and recover it around Idi Iroko Ogun state before the thief could cross boarder. |
Ibime:Wait fess! So, if I wake tomorrow and decide to start typing in proper English instead of pidgin and code mixing ( most especially substituting "U" and "UR" for "YOU" and "YOUR" respectively); people will assume it is ChatGPT assisted and me typing it? 🤷♂️ I used to think it is common knowledge that most people prefer to type in less formal way online simply because they feel comfortable doing so, not necessarily because they can't. |
Payporte01:Goodluck to them o |
Amigoss:What did he say/do? |
GloriousGbola:It better be o |
izzou:It has been ruined already. The last one before this one was shiiit, this one gbey released last Friday is even worse...... I hope they stop the madness and don't release another one. It was the first season that only made sense |
GloriousGbola:The issue is from now to 100 years Monerozi will not see the point that the Nigeria Air was totally unnecessary . |
