Steel tanks are not allowed they must be Hdpe or fibreglass
Vapour recovery systems are deployed.

If you were to build a station fully to western regs, you would be likely knocking on a billion for a small site.

I believe Dangote is in for a long ride. He will unlearn, learn and relearn in this new turf he just entered into.

I read the full article and nowhere did they mention the shutdown has anything to do with Dangote's entrance into the market.

If anything, I believe Dangote and his guys should be interested in this Scottish refinery shutdown. They should be interested in learning about some of the factors responsible for the promoters investing $1.2 billion since 2011, and posting losses in excess of $775 million over the same period.

For example :There are some people who are limited by their background. Let’s say a person’s grandfather didn’t amount to much while alive , that same person’s father because he didn’t have education couldn’t amount to much as well. Now the son himself has been having things rough from childhood , couldn’t go beyond secondary school and learnt tailoring . Unfortunately for him he’s sewing in a dead environment so his handiwork is not enough to fend for him and his immediate family .

You know it’s very easy for a pastor to tell such a person that he sees his struggles and that it is the work of evil people in his family . It’s generational curse ( Ogun idile). The guy doesn’t need so much convincing to believe the man of God .

That man’s problem could’ve been solved by networking with some of his secondary school mates who are now doing well in the corporate world ; people who can patronize him and give him referrals to other high net worth individuals .

There are practical solution to the man’s problem but he will never see things that way due to his background and what the man of God has told him which he strongly believes .

Most of the monies stolen from this country since independence have been through inflating figures of contract. Just last week we say an analysis of the budget spendings and we saw streetlight being done for billions in Bayelsa and same streetlight being done for few millions in Ilesha. Until we are ready to ask questions and analyze the answers to those questions; I'm afraid we are not ready to move forward.

If you will claim subsidy needs to go because of smuggling, u should be able to show realistic and verifiable data that matches what you are projecting. The amount of PMS the government is claiming is being smuggled across the boarder does not match the reality on ground. We need to tell ourselves the bitter truth that the government is lying first.

This NNPC vs Dangote Refinery matter is turning into a big joke sha .

I mean the two parties will go into closed door meetings for hours, when they done both parties will release contrasting statement about the outcome of same meeting.

Party A will say this is the conclusion of the meeting , then party B will make a press release debunking some of the conclusions listed in Party A’s initial press release 🤦‍♂️

Yesterday Dangote said NNPC’s spokesperson’s press release was false and misleading ; today NNPC has come out to project a higher price and even asking NNPC for discount on the media space .

Anybody seeing the two parties bickering over the pages of newspaper and social media space would think NNPC is not a shareholder in Dangote refinery that obviously knows the inner workings of things .
