This Edo elections just shows that Nigerians don’t have it in them to vote out failed parties and try out available alternatives .

Obaseki spent first 4 years as an APC governor and the last 4 years as PDP governor. The jury is out on his 8 years and it was unanimously agreed he failed in Edo state (He didn’t do better than Oshiomole of APC his predecessor ) .

Obaseki is the live representation of PDAPC. One would’ve thought the people who live in Edo state under his administration will shun both APC and PDP candidates and vote for the alternative option enmasse , but just look at the people focusing more on who has more structure and who can induce voters the most.

This just shows that Tinubu/APC will win 2027 presidential election irrespective of whether PMS sells for 10k per liter or people are dropping dead on the streets due to hardship .

This particular man is just lucky he is blessed with long life , if not nobody would’ve heard his story and he would’ve suffered for nothing.

If we had a responsible legislative arm of government , I would’ve suggested that they come up with a law that allows government to seize assets of presidents/government officials that cause the FG this kind of monetary loss for their actions and inactions while they were in power .

So for example let’s say OBJ’s actions and inactions led to govt losing $10m 15 years after his tenure , then let FG pay the claimant’s $10m but OBJ’s assets should be seized and liquidated to recoup the $10m .

Martinelli was ineffective but I assume that Arteta was willing to sacrifice that match as a warm up to the Man City match.

By removing Partey and Saka, and giving time to Sterling has had Man City in mind. Taking Martinelli out was of no value to him.

Also, Martinelli is off form scoring wise and may need more minutes to reset his brain.

I stopped playing football about 4 years ago simply because of fear of something like this happening to me.

The Saturday morning set we usually play is a mixture of youngings, senior men and even artisans like mechanics, carpenter and bricklayers. We don't discriminate ; u can get picked on a set with random people because we usually role papers and the number u pick determines the set u will be on.

As much as we have referees and people are encouraged to play fair; there are still people who dish out rough tackles that has made few people seriously injured.

I had a one-on-one talk with myself one day and asked myself : If one small boy wey still dey primary school when I Don dey 100l for university break my leg now, wetin I go talk say happen to me to anybody that cares to ask? What will happen to my job? Will my employers allow me months to stay away from work to heal and recover? Is this football even feeding me to start with? 🤷‍♂️

Omo! That was the last time I went to play o. I just hanged boot.

This guy have been playing with the first team in trainings. According to the few matches we watched him, the players have confidence in him hence they're not afraid to give him the ball. Even if it's to bring him on as a sub, it wouldn't have been bad. This is just the first UCL match so it's not as if it was even critically crucial sef.

If a coach is hesitant to throw a young player into a high intensity match like Champions league, he will definitely have his reasons which we may not agree with; but doesn't mean his reasons aren't valid.

Today I watched a video of man who claimed he was attacked by APC thugs. He's a transporter who was wearing PDP colors when the APC thugs accosted him.

He said they asked why he's wearing PDP branded cloth and he answered that PDP was his party. They asked why he was supporting PDP and he told them no reasonable person will support APC when they are buying fuel for over 1k per liter.

The APC thugs were not pleased with his answer, so they shot his tyre's, shot at his vehicle and shot at him as well. He was showing the interviewer the bullet holes in his car and what appears to be bullet somewhere in his chest and belly...

The man said he was saved by GRACE OF GOD, but people in the comment section say make he talk true no be God no make the bullet no enter ; na him know where dem Don cook am 😂
