Food for thought for all BATists/Agbadorians resident in Nigeria: “Has your salary/income increased by at least 100% in the last 15 months ?” As for the abroadians , you can please look away.

This is so sad . Thank God the suspect made enough mistakes to make them nab him. https://x.com/letter_to_jack/status/1831433302944727128?s=46 |
andrewbaba44:I also agree with this sentiment. In a week to two weeks time, clubs will be counting their losses in form of injuries to key players from the yeye international break. How can we miss club football for that long and then after 3 games they are going on international break ? ![]() |
Itsrm:Na naija used be that ![]() I trust Nigerian police, the vehicles will not last 6 months before they end up in bad shape |
Fkforyou:If it is not broken, don't try to fix it. Saka is fine playing as a RW, there's no need for any unnecessary experiment |
izzou:It's the blue paint on the wheel for me ![]() |
afrodoc2:I won't doubt this at all. A friend of mine that was forming "Over sabi/ DIY", He applied for his wife's driver's license online. On the day for the driving test, they didn't even allow her drive for a minute before they told him she doesn't know how to drive. This na person wey take all the time in the world to teach his wife how to drive and assessed her before going. My friend and his wife paid 3 more of such visits to retake the driving test. He was frustrated eventually, just tipped them and they passed her ![]() |
raumdeuter:Even the corporates driving their private and official vehicle sef, most people didn’t go to proper driving school nor take driving tests. I remember when I went for my drivers license .I was jejely taking the theory aspect of the test on computer ; I was taking my time and trying to ensure I get the answers right. One of the VIO guys (Abi na VIS dem Dey bear now ); he just told me to stand up. I thought perhaps he was suspecting I was cheating or something . Do u know what he did? He came to my seat, sat in my place and quickly rushed to complete the rest of the test within few minutes; he submitted and I passed . 🤣🤣🤣. Apparently the money I paid for the drivers license application included a special fee which requires that they ensure I pass. I don’t even know this until that point. As for the practical driving test , they asked me to give one of the VIO guys in charge of the test I think 1k or 1,500. The money is for him to go and bring the car we will use for driving test . After 10 minutes of the guy not showing up, they just collected my document and ask me to proceed to road safety section for capturing . And that was the end . Imagine if I actually hadn’t really learn how to drive ; that’s how I will hold a driver’s license yet I won’t know how to drive properly. I’m sure a lot of people will have similar experience too. |
Ibime:Witnessing an epileptic person having seizure for the first time can be quite disturbing for one especially If u don't really know much about the ailment before that moment. You will experience fear, pity and all kinds of emotions at the same time |
raumdeuter:Funny thing is a friend once narrated how his Uber driver had seizure while he was driving him. He was just fortunate it was at a traffic light stop. When the driver came to, he just had to end the trip, pay him off and thanked his stars. Nigeria na one kind country, normally a person with such ailment should not hold a drivers license because of the danger he poses to other road users. |
Theflint1:That was exactly my thought much later in life when I read about it in health section of newspapers and also personal research on the internet. Parents should be mindful of head injuries to their kids to avoid cases of epilepsy resulting from head trauma |
GloriousGbola:In this part of the world, it is almost impossible to avoid all the warning triggers for epilepsy. In fact, a lot of people don't even know it has warning triggers that need to be avoided sef. I'm always scared when I see kids falling over their head and parents dismiss it as nothing. |
iamoyindamola:The discrimination is real and it is mostly due to the fact that people feared epilepsy is contagious just by getting physically closer to an epileptic person. When people talk about depression, mental health and some of the newly christened ailments, they sometimes forget about how life is difficult for people living with epilepsy. It's almost impossible for epileptic patient to live normal life in this part of the world. They lose their relationships immediately their lovers witness their seizure for the first time. |
Since APC came to power , SPEECH RENOVATION became a major thing . Government officials will make a statement/speech and they will have to release another statement/speech to clarify what they mean in the original one . Eventually , when things play out in the nearest future , you will discover the official was never misquoted ; he meant what he said originally and those that reported it the way they did initially actually weren’t wrong . We’ve seen it happen over and over again. |
iamoyindamola:My own concern is ; with the way this Dangote refinery coming onboard is being celebrated , will that Port harcourt refinery and other NNPC owned refinery see the light of the day ? I mean let’s say Port Harcourt refinery comes onboard next month , but what happens to Dangote refinery ? Where will Dangote be getting his crude ? Will FG not sell crude to PH refinery and sell to Dangote Refinery instead ? Or did NNPC suddenly ramp up crude production to the extent that they can give crude to Dangote, give crude to PH refinery and still be able to meet OPEC quota ? Will NNPC still be able to be profitable when they are selling few crude in dollars while selling majority in Naira to Dangote , PH refinery and other refineries coming onboard ? The whole thing get as e be |
I have a question especially for those who go have lived in the west or have mixed with people of other races over time. Is it just Africans that see epilepsy as a spiritual ailment or there are other people like Chinese , Indians , asians (in general), Arabs , westerners , etc who also believe epilepsy is spiritual? I remember one of our neighbor’s daughters ; Aunty T while growing up. Aunty T used to drop me and two of her younger siblings way back in primary school. She also picks us from school during closing hours. Aunty T then was already in her 20’s while we were in primary 3 and 4 respectively . We never knew she had epilepsy until one day she was taking us home and she had seizure on the main road. We were confused as kids that we are, we started crying not knowing what is happening to her . She foamed in her mouth and the elderly people there had to cover her up while the seizure lasted . I guess her younger siblings whom we were together never really saw her that way before too. After the whole thing she became conscious and she had this sense of shame sha. That was the beginning of a tortuous period , she had those seizures severally afterwards and almost everyone in the neighborhood knew of her condition . The parents spent a great deal of fortune taking her to medical centers , trado-medical centers , spiritualists and even all these white garment prophets . This Aunty’s life was placed on hold ; she couldn’t proceed to university because of her condition cos things got worse. There were instances she had seizure while cooking and her face burned because she fell unconscious directly over the fire she was cooking from. At a point the thing caused friction between the parents because the father who studied in Germany for his tertiary education believed it was a medical condition that needs to be managed and the mum thinks it is spiritual ailment that can be cured. You know a woman who cares about all her children thinks it’s not normal for her second born to be stuck with epilepsy while her 3rd , 4th and 5th born are forging ahead with their tertiary education and getting good jobs . The last I knew of Aunty T, she had a child after several guys ran off witnessing her seizure for the first time. When I was much more grown and I read about epilepsy , I remember their mum once narrated to my mum how aunty T as a young child was playing outside and somehow got stuck under a car unknown to anyone. The driver of the car entered his vehicle and drove the vehicle for a long distance before people informed him a child was under the vehicle he was driving. Apparently , the vehicle dragged her on the floor with her head experiencing serious trauma in the process . She was taken to the hospital and all the bruises were treated and she was declared fine . My book mind tells me her epilepsy is linked to the head trauma she had as a young child child in that incident which later manifested in her 20’s ; but the African mentality of enemies shooting “evil arrow “ made it hard to actually conclude if it was spiritual or medical condition. |
mostob:If we stop him, Ghana can take action against us with FIFA |
mostob:Partey abi Viera? |
Itsrm:Honestly things are really bad. I try as much as possible to dodge as much people as I can nowadays. I deliberately don't ask after some people's well being because I know what will follow is; they will download their problems and something must drop. Sometimes I just wonder how people who do low paying jobs like cleaner, driver, etc manage to feed and take care of their responsibilities in this period. Seriously, any church, mosque or religious organizations not giving back to their vulnerable amongst their members in this period is just a wicked organization that should be deserted by members. |

Anybody wey no carry enough money commot house today will definitely get stranded with this fuel price increment. Motorists will carry blood in their eyes to increase fare ASAP, just the same way filling stations adjusted pump price |
Itsrm:APC people will tell u: "Things have always been bad, It's just because u didn't have responsibilities before APC came to power. That's why u don't know things have always been this bad" |

izzou:That is how u know Napoli is poorly run club. That was the same thing they did with koulibaily ; remember at a time they wanted 150 million Euros for Koulibaily. How much did they eventually sell him again? He did not agree with Chelsea because of Chelsea's wage structure and paycut thingy. For Chelsea to pay him same thing he gets paid at Napoli after tax, then Chelsea's wage structure will be distorted |
izzou:No two loan contract are one and same. I'm sure u don't have a full idea of what the Chelsea loan offer was. Napoli from the onset wants to cashout massively o Osimehn, so I doubt Napoli would ever agree to cover part of Osimehn's salary like Chelsea are doing for Sterling. There's a lot of misinformation about the Osimehn transfer saga out there, but one thing is very constant: NAPOLI WANTED TO MAKE AS MUCH MONEY AS THEY CAN MAKE FROM OSIMEHN'S DEPATRURE AND THAT IS MOST LIKELY THE REASON THINGS TURNED OUT THE WAY IT DID. Why people just chose to bash Osmiehn is what muses me. Take a look at the attached; u will see where it is said Chelsea could not agree terms with Osimehn. That is definitely not unconnected with Chelsea's wage structure

WhoDeyHause:The saying is "Anywhere belle face na front". But for this Tinubu regime ehn, everywhere belle face na hardship, hardship and hardship. |
Roland17:The truth is you will most likely win the bet ![]() It is what it is. |
raumdeuter:They should get out with their ridiculous lies and excuses. Smuggling has always been in existence. |
With the way Tinubu, his appointees and government is moving ehn.... At this point, it's looking like a case of " Na who go die go die, Na who remain go remain" VAT to be increased to 10% https://www.nairaland.com/8203008/proposing-law-increase-vat-10
