rooftops: You missed out the other miss by our world class striker Jackson in the second half.
Just a question, can a player like Jackson improve his goalscoring ability to like Tammy Abraham's level? The real question is what did Chelsea scouts see in Jackson before signing him? Was it his hard work or what dribbling skills? He doesn't even score like that in a less competitive league like La Liga. |

Jodera: For that Havertz first goal, Cucu should be ashamed of himself. Havertz wey anybody wey near am, him go fall naim carry Cucurella run for outside 18, enter inside box while holding him off as if he's some kind of prime Etoo. Lmaooo
If we continue in this form, it'll be really disheartening and disappointing if we don't end up with the league. I'll be angry, not with the boys and MA but that the teams that's truly the best didn't actually win it.
Chaii, I'll be sad Any of our defenders would've dispossesed Havertz with the ball in that first goal aswear. Maybe except for Zinchenko sha, but none of our starting defenders would allow Havertz journey that much to even attempt a shot. On a second thought, I think Cucurella got a yellow card in the first half against Saka and didn't want to risk a foul lest he gets red carded. The sweetest thing about the game was he didn't get red carded so Chelsea fans couldn't console themselves with the fact that they lost scandalously due to red card. They just had to chest the 5 goals and accept in in good faith. We had 17 shots(10 on target and 7 off target) to Chelsea's (1 on target and 4 off target). Imagine if they had gotten a red card |

Spy360: We have a scored 104goals already this season. More than Man City with Haaland, and Liverpool with Nunes or whoever. So how would we convince the owners that we need a striker. What would be his job? Score goals?
I have stated here times without number (but you guys are not humble enough to give me my flowers ) that as far as Arteta's tactics is concerned, he does not need a traditional striker. That the reason is because whoever is playing front is only acting as a decoy. He is actually an AM. He prefers a multiple outlet for goals than a single one. That is why despite scoring 100+ goals, no one has scored a hat trick this season.
When I had that argument with Jodera about Gabriel Jesus not playing as a striker he thought I was silly. You know a striker from his movements and positioning. Kai Havertz is another perfect example of an AM playing as a striker, someone who can drop deep to overload the middle. These are Arteta's tactics this season and it has worked tremendously well for him.
See, any time Arteta goes for a striker which is possible just know that he wants to change tactics (or perhaps have an alternative tactics) to what we are currently playing. But as far as this tactics is concerned, we don't need a traditional goal scorer. We only need players who can drop deep from attacking position. I don't know why DaveP has refused to see things that way. He keeps yawning for a big bully striker who will come and impose himself upfront. Arteta will most likely sign a striker but the player will be in the mould of Nketiah, Gabriel Jesus, etc. Strikers who are not going to really be that tall imposing figure in the box, but rather an attacker who partake in the free-flowing attacking football we play and can also hit his shot well. |

Jodera: Yesterday's game was really a game of boys Vs Men. It would have easily have ended 10-0 if we were that ruthless in first half the way we are in the second.
It's also a game of two "Havertz". First half Havertz was the worst I've ever watched from him as a CF (even in his Chelsea days). He was so poor that I was literally screaming my lungs out. MA must have told him something heading into the second half cos at least his decision making was better. And that goal, o my, I would never have ever imagined he would score that type of goal. Kudos to him and shame on Cucurella.
I've never enjoyed a game as good as ystdy all thanks to Partey. My goodness, so this is what Man pikin dey miss since : Partey—Rice combo. Chaiii!!! Abeg, even if na to sign Partey younger brother, make we go look for am. We deserve to watch Partey and Rice together, I don't care if it's not a Thomas. Can't believe when we have a perfect Midfield partner for him that when he's leaving. I'm sure even Odegaard would be counting his(Partey) days cos na Odegaard deh really benefit from am well. Hopefully he starts against Tottenham..
The loss to Aston Villa is really bad. We have the goal difference, have the confidence and looks like we can go all the way yet the league is not even in our hands. They say anyone who wins the league rightly deserves it cos the table don't lie but there's a feeling that if man city goes on to win it, then the table is truly lying especially if we continue with this our form. We deserve to win this league this season (as long as this form continues) and I just hope that the god of soccer looks our way cos we truly deserve it.
Tottenham next. They're fully rested for 10 days and would be relishing the prospect of denting our title challenge. A win is a must for us and hopefully we get it.
And Martinelli... Two glorious chances missed. Anyways Trossard have already taken his spot.
Ice cold Trossard!!!!
Upward and Onwards
COYG!!!! Havertz literally dragged Cucurella along with him for that his first goal . I never thought of Havertz as strong as that while under pressure. It is one thing for Odegaard to have measured the through pass correctly and it is an entirely different thing for Havertz to have held his own and not buckle under pressure while keeping his sight on goal. Everything about that goal was just so sweet. Partey just makes what he does look so simple. Those vertical passes just gives our creative players more openings and opportunity to open up Chelsea's defense. That was how we were able to make Chelsea defense look so confused for the 5th goal scored by White. They just look on is disarray. I feel if Partey had started that Villa match, we could've really opened them up and score before we conceded. Anyways, however the season ends I want us to beat Tottenham and United and I also want us to score up to 100 goals this season. We have scored 82 now after 34 games while we scored 88 in 38 matches last season. |

Just look at the second goal from the corner, we had no player screening the box, saka had like two options to pass to The replay looks really bad on the team. I watched this morning and I was like; Chelsea just didn't play at all. Aside from that Jackson run against Saliba in the first half which Gabriel deflected the eventual attempt out to corner; there really not much highlight to show for Chelsea's effort to get something out of the match. |

1. Odegaard is who he thinks he is ! I watched the replay again this morning and I must confess it was a beauty to watch him playing through passes for that Havertz first goal and White's second goal.
2. It's a shame injury will not allow us enjoy senior man Partey in his old age. The way Partey was playing vertical passes all over the pitch was just mesmerizing. He just keeps making it look so simple.
3. I hope Martinelli can just take chances like Trossard does going forward; no overdoing, no trying to out run a fullback when there's no need for it and no trying to be in a perfect position before letting fly a shot on goal.
4. We need to sell Nelson and get a proper RW with flair that can deputize Saka. It is obvious Arteta doesn't trust Viera to be that guy and would rather use Viera as Odegaard's backup. If Nelson remains in the team, we won't buy a serious deputy for Saka and when Saka decides to go numb we will just keep complaining and hoping for a miracle.
5. Raya has really justified why Arteta benched Ramsdale for him. As much as I am a fan of Ramsdale, I see that calmness & cool-headedness he lacked in Raya. He has a near perfect communication with the CB's and he starts attack pretty well than any of our most recent goalkeepers. What he lacked in height, he compensates for it in being calm even under pressure.
6. Ben white has really been phenomenal and he has justified why we bought him 50m at a time most people (including myself) believe it was unwise to sign a CB/RWB/RB for that amount while we needed attackers. |

A centre back pairing of Bastard and Disaster has never worked against less potent teams. Why will anyone not POCH think it will work against Arsenal Well, one of my friends who a chelsea fan thought otherwise . raumdeuter: 57 Most goals conceded by Chelsea in a league season
The sad part is there are still 6 games to go
So let me ask again where is the bigger problem Attack or Defence There's no how that Havertz first goal would've been scored against arsenal defense because Arsenal defence is sorted . Havertz literally just place one long arm on top Cucurella's "destiny" while he progressed with the ball towards the goal post after receiving Odegaard's through ball. Tomiyasu, Ben white , Gabriel or Saliba would've dispossessed the lanky Havertz few seconds after he received the pass with a well timed tackle . Just take a look at Chelsea's defensive shape for Havertz's second goal as well... Enzo was shadow marking Havertz , Baba shile lost Havertz his man who later got the pass from Saka and scored ; Gbaizedo also shadow marked Saka while Disaster has no choice but to slide on the floor in a failed bid to block Havertz eventual shot that led to goal. For White's second goal ( which was the last goal ) , it just seemed nobody in the Chelsea defensive set-up knew what they were doing . Zero defensive shape . Everybody just dey do the barest minimum, the useless defence dey keep offside trap wey no exist At this point it appears coaching is Chelsea's number 1 problem sef |

BlueMann: The possibility of Europe only remains because the people above us have managed to match us in uselessness. The season is over for me.
For next season, I just pray for the injury prone ones like James, Nkunku, Lavia, Colwill and Fofana to receive divine healing.
I pray again for Reece to become fit. I need to enjoy King James again, as my love for the club and the game has suffered since he became a practicing physician.
I pray for Enzo to return to the Enzo of River, Benfica and Argentina, or even the Enzo from the second half of last season; the one that finished second in the club's POTS voting despite arriving in January.
I pray for new, quality defenders (who are not slow physically and mentally, and do not make mistakes for a living), and quality attackers, especially ones that do not have comedy as a hobby.
And I pray for a new, quality coach that will not play Chilwell and Maatsen as wingers when actual wingers are there, that will not bench Maatsen for a centre back at left back, that will not have Enzo leading a press while Gallagher is running Helter skelter and Caicedo is relieving Omah Lay's album title in midfield.
I pray for this club to return to the pedestal where it should be, instead of dragging position with the West Hams and the Wolves of this world.
All these I ask through Christ our Lord (Amen!) Pastor BlueMann, the Lord say I should tell u " Prayer request declined" !
