Sure, a good CV is meant to get your an interview, but some Nigerian recruiters use many other unknown criteria to select applicant's for interview.

E.g Location, Gender, Too much experience or the lack of it and religion.

Besides these ones you mentioned, I think another reason some people don't get invites is spiritual. We are Africans, and whether we agree or not, there could be spiritual factors (Witches, etc) responsible for one not getting interviews.

There's this friend of mine, a 2:1 Economics graduate from a Federal Uni. For 3 straight years after completing his NYSC, he couldn't secure an interview. This is someone who applies for nothing less than 5 openings daily. You can't tell me it's mere coincidence.

I won't go into details, but this guy finally got a breakthrough after series of deliverance.

In conclusion, village people can prevent one from getting interviews.
