I thank God for ppl like you. The guy you
quoted has shown himself a slowpoke already, it is ppl like him the prof is talking about. Imagine , how could a sane person say he wakes up to make FTC five times a day. Many of these idiots have no job, so they have enough time to criticise the prof who's accomplishment their Generation from Generation can never attain. Even if there is a prize for FTC must you wake up every day struggling to make it not even once but five times. I am sorry for some ppl's mentality. Standing for Curroption and being against ppl like Wole Shoyinka who faught for their freedom even before they were conceived by their silly parents who failed woefully to give them proper training.

Many since the beginning of their various families no one has got a green card up till date. Not to talk of a whole US President giving anyone in their families a Green Card without applying for it.

Since the reelection of the Buffon GEJ failed many have become monsters atacking everyone senselessly .

It is the Prof's Green Card, it is his life. if he likes let him leave the US, if he likes let him stay there. He has the right to his own life so ppl should let him be. Face your lives and look for how to be great men and women and leave someone who has attained a standard you should try and aspire to reach in life to enjoy his retirement in peace.

Let them all get a life
. Srzly I dnt understand these folks. How is it deir problem? Someone made a speech, a well respected achiever worldwide, he wasn't castigative neither was his speech derogatory towards anyone. He gave out his opinion on a matter and am sure before he concluded to such, he had weighed his words and options and felt it wnt av any negative effect on him or on anyone. So why r pple so quick to judge without thorough and deep thinking. Many of them base their reasonin and response on sentiments. He's a human rights activist and he was trying to pass a message across, besides he's welcomed anywhere because he's a well-respected academician and he has wat it takes to deliver

[quote author=openmine post=51624090]When It's All Been Said And Done by Don Moen

When it's all been said and done
There is just one thing that matters
Did I do my best to live for truth?
Did I live my life for you?

When it's all been said and done
All my treasures will mean nothing
Only what I've done for love's reward
Will stand the test of time

Lord, your mercy is so great
That you look beyond our weakness
And find purest gold in miry clay
Turning sinners into saints.
Hallelujah

And I will always sing your praise
Here on earth and ever after
For you've shown me heavens, my true home
When it's all been said and done
You're my life when life is gone...

[/quote) I love this song. Very powerful lyrics. Thoughtful and Inspiring. Makes me think deep anytym I listen to it.

Not all physical and biological body nature is accustomed to stress or rigorous physical activities, especially in unfriendly and hot weather conditions. Culture / Re: Ooni Ogunwusi Unveils "Moremi Ajasoro", The Tallest Statue In Nigeria (PICS) by blueskies(f): 10:38pm On Nov 22, 2016
islandmoon:
The Ayaba Moremi hailed from Oyo, married to the then king of Ile Ife, a kingdom that is said to have been at war with an adjoining tribe who were known to them as the Forest people (Ìgbò in the Yoruba language, though the said tribe is believed by scholars to have had no relation to the contemporary Ìgbòs of modern Nigeria). Scores of Ife citizens were being enslaved by these people, and because of this they were generally regarded with disdain by the Yoruba city-states.

Moremi was a very brave and beautiful woman who, in order to deal with the problem facing her people, offered anything she had to give in sacrifice to the Spirit of the river Esimirin so that she could discover the strength of her nation's enemies.

She is said to have been taken as a slave by the Igbo and, due to her beauty, married their ruler as his anointed queen. After familiarising herself with the secrets of her new husband's army, she escaped to Ile-Ife and revealed this to the Yorubas who were able to subsequently defeat them in battle.

Following the war she returned to her first husband, King Oramiyan of Ife (and later Oyo), who immediately had her re-instated as his Princess Consort. In order to fulfil the pledge she made to Esimirin before embarking on her mission, her son Olurogbo was given in sacrifice to the Spirit because this is what it asked her for when she returned to its shrine.

The Edi Festival is said to have then been started as a means of celebrating the sacrifice the princess made for the people of Yorubaland. Furthermore, a number of public places are named after her in contemporary Nigeria, such as the female residence halls at the University of Lagos and Obafemi Awolowo University.
. Very enlightening. Thank u

Seun, the bolded really got me wondering....

I really don't know how to put it to you, so I don't sound out of line, but I will just let you know that it is one thing to go astray, but entirely a different thing to encourage people to feel comfortable in doing the wrong things.

This site is helping to erode the morals of the young minds here. This is a faceless forum, and as such, even children could be members and read all these stuff we write here.

With all due respect, Seun, you're someone of influence, someone a lot of people here look up to, and I think you're using that influence negatively. What do you think a young mind who is growing up would feel, reading your statement as it concerns masturbation? Would you encourage your kids to indulge in masturbation? Do you know how this can effect their mental and psychological state?

I am of the opinion that you should minimise the way you present some sensitive issues, especially when it has to do with morality.

No disrespect intended.
. I totally agree with u, thanks a lot for sayin dis. How can he say as for masturbation, dnt worry, its normal! Even though I didn't totally agree with al he said, I believe der r generational curses, though it doesn't explain all problems we av in our world 2day, not al problems ar as a result of generational curses, but dat was d least I expected. Every crime is bad according to the law guiding it in a particular place, be it white or blue collar crime, the intent and the effect is what matters, but don't forget that crime defers depending on its severity and punishment by law, in some countries drug trafficking has lesser penal measures than others, and these measures are put in place by law made by men, stealing in some of these countries has lesser punishment, same with human trafficking and " honour killing" but heavy punishment on drugs which some countries sees as victimless crimes. I am not giving a standing ovation to any one in drugs, neither am i justifying the act is a good or bad one. The countries needs to make a review on that, even leaders of war crimes and genocides are not being given such sentences so why drug?
Crime is Crime. Drug traffiking is a srz crime evrywhere in d world and its a social vice. And dey knew d possible consequences if caught, its even written boldly at d airport on arrival and on d passport. I can't begin to talk of d vicious circle of dis vice and its effect on d society. These far east asian countries know d effect of dis vice on deir society and hence d strict and inhumane laws meted out to perpetuators. Am in no way supportin deir cruel way of justice. Its inhumane, God touch deir hearts but our concern shd b obeying deir laws as dey want to avoid d consequences, its deir country. The elders and leaders in dis region where dis crime emanates frm shd look for fast means of discouragin it. Thats al am sayin

Not everyone believes in that, some people believes in death before dishonour, when you are in the street you keep cowardice aside. Not support drug trafficking though. It's not limited to a particular tribe.
. Its not limited to a particular tribe but its far. more prominent in a particular tribe, evryone knows this, there is no correlation watsoeva. I dnt get it, why dnt we jst call a spade a spade, illicit business is wrong and a crime no matter d 'good' motive for engagin in it. Some are tryin to twist and justify it by calling it hustling. How in heaven and earth is dis hustling?? So is der another term to qualify those dat engage in legal business if illegal business is called hustling? Ogus are not Yorubas. They have their own native language which is not a yoruba dialect. You are confusing native yoruba dialects such as Egba, ijesha etc with Ogu. In this case Ogu isn't a Yoruba dialect but a different language of its own. Just because they are bilingual in. Yoruba doesn't mean they are Yorubas. Their blood brothers are in Benin republic where they speak the Fon dialect of Gbe languages and the Ogu people speak the Gun dialect. Please educate yourself. They are not Yorubas.
am not talkin about whether they'r yorubas or not in dis context, wat am sayin is u tryin to prove an irrelevant point by askin him to interpret that dialet, like I said der ar many dialets in d yorua lang. I may understand one and b able to pen it down but I may nt b able with another. That doesn't make any of d folks dat speak dese dialets less yoruba. That point u made is invalid

Mr. man interpret the statement I posed to you if that looks like Yoruba to you or you keep shut forever. Gosh.
Srzly? What are u tryin to prove frm dis? An average yorubas' inability to interpret that doesn't mean egun doesn't av a history or aint interwined with yoruba. The yoruba tribe as a whole is a break down of different regions with their respective dialet and unique language. They speak dsame yoruba but each regions have their unique native dialet. The native dialet of the ijebus is different frm d egbas, and different frm d ileshas, ibadans etc. I may understand perfectly d ijebu dialet and can possibly pen it down but I may nt understand perfectly d ileshas or egba dialet, and I may nt b able to pen it down in writin like I wud do for d ijebu dialet. That doesn't make any of them less yoruba. They r all yorubas. Yoruba is very wide, d tribe, culture, dialets. So stop trying to twist or prove an irrelevant point. It doesn't work dat way. Mayb u shd go back and do a deep-rooted research on d different unique dialets and language in yoruba.
