Culture / Re: Where Is The Origin Of The "Nsibidi" Form Of Writing? by Bluhazel: 11:37pm On Jul 25, 2014
The origin is from the old Cross River States especially among the Ekpe society, Ekpo Society and the Nnabor cult. The Ekpe society is the traditional society/play of the Efik, Ekoi, Uruan and the Oro people. The Ekpo Society/Masquerade is famous among the people in old Cross River States (Efik, Ibibio, Annang, Oro, Ekoi etc) while Nnabor is famous among the Efik and the Oro people. The common thing about these society is that they only initiates the male folks, they all use the nsibidi writing codes (although the Nnabor and the Ekpe societies are more proficient in it). The nsibidi writing code was also used to summon the angel of death which was also known by the same name "nsibidi". The code is also said to be very mystical. I also heard that the nsibidi writing code was used as one of the tools for settlement whenever there was a disagreement between members of a particular society or two different societies where the culprits involved would be asked to challenge themselves in coding/decoding the nsibidi code. The penalty for whoever that lost was usually death penalty or heavy fine.

I think the traditional rulers from these region (especially the Efik, Ekoi and Oro) can give clearer view on this matter. I would want to believe as someone has already said that the code has been adulterated and it is even laughable that someone is interpreting the code to mean peoples names.

TV/Movies / Re: Olympus Has Fallen Vs White House Down: Which Is Better? by Bluhazel: 1:22am On Sep 07, 2013
For me, it's olympus has fallen. The tension and the thrill was damn too much and it almost got my babe jumping out of the seat. White house down looks more like a child's play - the thought of them using the clown like jamie foxx as the president blew it totally especially during his unserious moments (imagine that when you've got disaster at hand)and the all-knowing untouchable little girl with some clown-like terrorists. smh
Religion / Kenyan Man Wants Ruling Against Jesus Christ By Pontius Pilate Overturned by Bluhazel: 10:18pm On Jul 30, 2013

Kenyan man wants ruling against Jesus Christ by Pontius Pilate overturned, goes to court (VIDEO).

A Kenyan man wants the International Court Of Justice to overturn a ruling handed against Jesus Christ by Pontius Pilate that saw him crucified over 2,000 years ago. The Hague-based court has constituted a panel to hear the case.

Dola Indidis says the Roman Ruler did not have jurisdiction to hear Jesus’ case, the trial was unfair and the punishment was excessive.

“I filed the case because it’s my duty to uphold the dignity of Jesus and I have gone to the ICJ to seek justice for the man from Nazareth,” said Indidis, who is also a former police spokesperson.

Sunymoore: was taking a shorth cut home recently
beside a burial ground in the evening.
some guy was coming behind me and
suddenly turned back and started running,
i immediately turned and wondering if
there`s danger ahead i also started
running after him. then he started
shouting ghost! ghost!! ghost!!! just then i
increased my speed to Gear 5. two other
men and one Lady that had also joined
that short path quickly took to their heels
and was also shouting. we all ran out into
the major road and where panting as
people gathered. people curiously asked
what exactly is the matter and none of us
responded until the guy right behind me
as first broke the silence by saying that he
did not see me when he joined the
pathway so when he sighted me in his
front, he then thought i was a GHOST

ROTFL. U guys wont kill me with laughter

C'mon peeps, this guy is experiencing emotional trauma and he needs someone to pour out his heart to, hence he has come here since there's no close friend/relative around.

@OP, I know how you feel. Just relax mahn, take time out and go to the cinema, parks, shows etc and just try to make some new friends. Try to think less of her and know that life is too short for you to make yourself unhappy.

just like someone as already said here, very beautiful girls always crave for attention a lot. Maybe you are not showing the type of attention you used to show her when you were trying to woo her or at the beginning of you relationship. Just try showing her more more more attention.

Can I possibly get your soft copy of Ziska ?

Literature / Re: Most Famous Novels From other Continents. by Bluhazel: 7:49am On May 12, 2011
My favourite novels of all time are:
1) The Big Four (by Agatha Christie)
2) Ziska - The Problem of a Wicked Soul (by Marie Corelli)
This two books are part of my treasures. Although the second book was written more than a hundred years ago, it seems it was written in the last decade. I never stop reading them, i even have a soft copy of the second book on my laptop and phone.
