sonature1: That's FALSE. Every people and government has its peculiarities. Governments of China, Saudi Arabia, and India still control some of the most financed corporations in their countries. Some of those state-run institutions have even gone international with footprints spread across countries.
I maintain that what should work for Nigeria is PPP. Don't leave sensitive sectors in the hands of devilish Nigerians to avoid massive exploitation. Forget religion - Nigerians are evil by default. That's the mentality they carry everywhere they go - both public and private sectors. Ok.. We don't trust Nigeria as a country. We don't trust it's government. We don't trust its systems and institutions. And we don't also trust its innocent citizens too.. |

LordIsaac: A full gear capitalism is what these people are advocating for. The problem is actually wicked and unaccountable rulers. For example, how many times did Buhari visit Benue to see the level of destruction of lives? But he was present to commission refinery! Another example is that of the former Accountant General, who looted the commonwealth with reckless abandon; a loot his generation cannot finish spending to the third generation! If only “Annual Auditing and Publishing of the Yearly Government Income and Expenditures” Can be Bold Put in the Constitution.. |

Do they even drop updates on their handles?? (Only very few of them drop updates... But then, NONE OF THEM respond to inquiries) |

SisterFire: ... If I say my mind my pastor trolls will come for me,but I will say it ...
Their are 2 things involved here 1... If his beatings pains just my body and not my soul then I shall show him I was a milady( cap ) of the B/W angels aka ladies forever of unizik, coou and uniport beside a capon is a capon forever...that means his beatings didnt pain me.
2... If he beats me so unjustly maybe because he thinks I am ugly and his baddie is beautiful , or he beats me out of pure hate then that will touch my soul. I shall not show him the capon in me but the red serpent in me. When he falls asleep I shall infuse in him great nightmares of real violence, I shall make him beat me in his Dreamland and I shall chase him around with knives, axes and dozens of wart snakes( you humans fear such snakes more than any creatures of the snake realms when it is harmless in reality, so I haunt dreams with wart snakes than G vipers ) ...if he is a Christian then he has no saviour...if he is atheists then he might change that nightmare maybe in a week.
Worst is that when he wakes up he shall fear and worship me and I shall pretend I'm innocent. I no wan say make Thunder Faayaa you.. But your tale really got me laughing.. |

fergie001: SOURCE The “Chip And Explosives and Setting Ablaze” narrative is just an unnecessary exaggeration and blatant lies. The judge was more worried that people were instantly tweeting the proceedings right there from inside the court. Thus,, even before they left the court, the people outside had already known what went on inside. |

tecnolad: I can say why they collapsed:
1. They weren't quick to develop an android app, and when they did, they maintained the same UI and UX they had on S40 and S60. This was bad to navigate on touchscreen devices.
2. They had Whatsapp as a competitor, and unlike 2go, Whatsapp didn't need you to buy GC to do basic stuff. Also, it was easier to connect with friends, since you only needed to have their phone numbers.
3. They didn't work on their marketing and geographic expansion game. They only had African users, out of which 80% are Nigerians. Every market (Globally) is targeting Nigeria. (They always nickname it “The African Market”). Even musicians and movie-makers too.. And once your market is no more working in Nigeria, you might crumble. (That is, if you're not really a GLOBAL Brand) |

Recall the former thread... https://www.nairaland.com/7696874/phones-gadgets-not-allowed-presidential#123266044BluntCrazeMan: For now, we are yet to get to the root of this matter though..
But we are still going to argue it out with them and reach a better agreement on Monday.
. Happening live at the Abuja Appeal Court.. Security personnel stood at the entrance, and produced Zip-Lock Bags for the visitors and Lawyers to drop their phones inside, and then, keep these locked bags at the entrance of the court.. The lawyers that were present started arguing seriously at the entrance. They were like: “... If Live-Streaming is not in the constitution,, then, does that mean that dropping phones outside before entering are also in the constitution too?? “Let us be doing only the things that are inside the constitution...”They even started a Mini-protest at the entrance of the court, and were chanting.. “...No Phones,, No Court...”The lawyers later won the argument, and the ban on phones and gadgets were lifted... |

An aspiramt .....
We have seen it before though... Zamfara scenario Then,, what was the need for Sub-Section-3 where the INEC is mandated to publicize the Nomination forms and particulars and credentials and affidavits of the Nominated Candidates within 7 days. And Sub-Section-4 where ANY PERSON can apply to have the CTCs of these documents... If only the Aspirants are the ones that are supposed to be the only ones who might question these documents, why then were these documents made easily available and accessible to the general public.?? |

fergie001: In a nutshell, when the EA 2022 was been discussed at the NA, I complained about S29 especially, allowing only aspirants to take on issues like false declaration on oath etc.
I liked the fact that any person can challenge it but they did what they did and clothed only aspirants in many ways to do the challenging in Court.
It's the law, if I disobey the law and you do not have the jurisdiction to sue and the person who does sleeps on his/her case, then there is nothing one can do about it.
It is the lawmakers that should be questioned and not the Courts. The Judiciary simply interprets what the NASS members pass into law. About the Section-29 of the Electoral Act 2022,, starting from Sub-Section-3 up to Sub-Section-7... All these Sub-Sections are distinct.. None of them is a continuation of the other.. For instance,, Sub-Section-6 is not a continuation of Sub-Section-5..Sub-Section-6 made it clear that if the Court determines that any of the information is wrong, then the candidate AND HIS POLITICAL PARTY should be disqualified.. This Sub-Section-6 shows that it must not be someone from within the party who must take the case to court, because, it clearly shows that such a person would definitely be fighting for the downfall of their party, which is not ideal. |
