Congratulations Toyin! This is not a racist post, i need advice pls. It is no secret. Anyone that knows me know i'm totally against the idea of dating or mating with any man of African descent. I'm not attracted to them in anyway. I try to avoid any space that has a lot of black men because the sight of them repulses me especially the Nigerian ones. They are mentally lazy, weak and shortsighted. Whenever the look at me, i cringe because even though they would never have me the nurture the idea that they can. I see how their eyes burn in desire for me, ughh. How can they ever think that i would consider them a choice when they are just ugly copies of the real men in this world. They are no match. I know it. They know it. The whole world knows! Today, i was shocked when my elder folks insisted i must marry my tribesman, which according to some means i should stop befriending non black men since that might spoil the whole plan of marrying within. I have not been my usual self since i heard this because i know my folks. They are tribal to a core and I would have been too but i lost my loyalty not just to my kinfolks but to my skin folks as well, after i learnt that we are all a lost cause because of the indiscipline and lack of loyalty of black men as a whole. Dear Nairalanders, how do i convince my folks that i cannot end up with their choice for me. I can't tell them that i have self respect and a high taste in men because these seem selfish. A gold digger is a woman looking for a man that can spoil her rich. She doesn't want to be spoiled surely but wants to know that her man can go all the way for her. And what is wrong with that? i'll tell you... n-o-t-h-i-n-g. Absolutely nothing. No natural woman thinks this is wrong, no natural man sees any wrong in this. If you are black man worshipper woman, please get your sorry self off my thread because lady my threads are for self respecting women not struggle slaves I have come to realise that the only gold diggers that are demonized and hated upon are black and Nigerian gold diggers. If you are a black woman with more African features, you are not hated because you want a wealthy partner, you are hated because you are looked down upon as undeserving, unworthy of a wealthy mate. You are expected to struggle, suffer and help this men up. You are for the struggle not for the life. Now save it, this is the rule in the minds of many of these black men you pet, i am not dumb enough to know that there are exceptions. Exceptions are a fact of life there are always going to be exceptions, but the rule is what binds me and you, the average black women. A man that loves your image would go to the ends of the world to provide for you, please you, pamper you, see you blossom but a man that underrates your looks would invite you to work with him. There is nothing wrong with working but ensure that you are working because you want to, first! I dislike 50-50 financial contribution because it leaves the woman doing the major work at the end, overtime she wears down, becomes fat, old, less feminine, ugly and cheated upon. The fantasy of many black men is a biracial/multiracial looking woman. For this woman, they know the deal. Work hard, be successful and spoil her. They don't mind getting her official maids, if she sits all day tending to her nails, its all perfect. She deserves it, right She is not welcomed to work much because her feminity and ''beauty'' should be watered and preserved. She is not termed a gold digger, eventhough she never gave them a chance when they were struggling, to them she is only coming into her place. I kid you not. But she is a gold digger and there is nothing wrong with it. At least to black men, there is nothing wrong with it. What will you do black women and Nigerian women for doing same thing and being demonized? Bleach your skin, change your hair to look like the multiracial women to please black men? Are they pleased now? Black and Nigerian women have created a wrong impression in the minds of these men when we jumped in to cater to struggling men. Don't pet them, don't give yourself to them easily, price yourself so high by opening your options to date other kinds of men(don't give black men the impression that they are the only men you would date, it would not end well for us). Stay away from struggle relationships except the man has proven himself to be worth it. Men pursue women who are desired by their superiors. Nigerian women we have been bullied for a long time to hush up about so many things that are important to us. Nigerian women i know we are women and i know how very humiliating it is to admit we have been forced to accept and change so many things about ourselves. Yes, we have been bullied for a long long time that we are scared of contradicting our bullies most of the time. We have to get on code real fast, and i'm here for it. We have been bullied for our looks by many Nigerian men and sadly women. We are so afraid of appearing too different from the mainstream beauty that we have done so much harm to our precious skin, and hair. We are called ''local'' ''mgbeke'' for daring to be us. Many of us have silently gone on to transform ourselves to please them and ourselves who have internalised what they said. We always stand on the side of the ''mainstream beauties'' in order not to appear hateful or jealous. It is almost unbelievable for any woman to say she loves her skin today! We have been bullied not to openly crave for handsome guys too! We are supposed to keep it low, very low. We have been bullied for not carrying out domestic duties to the fullest. We are supposed to appear 'wifeable' every munite and day. Now we are bullied for setting standards for ourselves. We are expected to give every man that crosses our part the benefit of doubt. We are told not to seek for wealthy mates because the average guy isn't wealthy, we are expected to be sympathetic when setting our standards. Since when? since when are women supposed to set themselves up for a struggle relationship because men are not able to meet up. Nigerian women we have changed ourselves, we have peeled our skin with creams, snaptchat filters, contoured our faces, hidden our hair carefully, some of us are even on diet trying to get that perfect shape, now there is surgery. We have done a lot to please this society: employers, boyfriends, girlfriends, folks...WHY CAN'T THEY DO ANYTHING FOR US WITHOUT GRUMBLING. We are losing our voices, we can't openly desire a well to do man because that would be synonymous to poking our bleached fingers into the eyes of the men that have infiltrated this forum. I see women that brag about earning their own money, which is great, but being independent-minded? i say lady, please, that's the perfect magnet for lazy never do wells, because in this age and time they would shamelessly leach you dry. Everyone has that material thing they want to see in their partner, be it beauty, physical endowments, Finance, carriage et al. Men are allowed to salivate over theirs all day, why can't we.
