Any place that has more poor people than rich people should be regarded as poor place
Do you know anything about global wealth disparity?

By that ignorant statement, you infer that the entire world is a poor place.

Stop allowing hatred rule your thoughts lest you sound like a compound illiterate.

This was my first post so show me where I insinuated or pointed out that Nigerians don't want the Igbos to leave because of what they are gaining from the Igbos. Point it out or remain silent.
Your last two sentences insinuated that much.

Lol derailing thread, how? The questions I asked you stemmed from your initial post where you said the Igbos contribute less than 4% to the national purse. So I rightly asked the region you came from in order to know your region's contribution to the so called national purse.
The statement was a correction of your erroneous assertion that Nigerians don't want ibos to leave because of what they gain from the region. Asking about my region is therefore irrelevant and a derailment of the thread.

Is it the UN or members of parliament in the UK that granted the referendum on Brexit?

No! It was simply a campaign promise made by then pm Cameron.

So yes a referendum is still very much on the table for the Igbos.
Wrong. It was promised by Cameron but was decided by a parliamentary vote. That's why a brexit bill existed.

https://www.google.com.ng/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/politics/2017/mar/13/brexit-vote-article-50-eu-citizens-rights-lords-mps

Referendum decision by the Nigerian parliament (NA) or the U.N. is totally out of the question.

The British nor un has the power to decide whether or not a referendum will take place.
I'm neither for nor against biafra. They certainly have a right to self determination in the 21century!
It's either the UN or the northern dominated national assembly.

Take your pick. I'm sure it's clearer now why I stated that a referendum is now out of the question.

discusant:
How do you address quality leadership? Conduct elections from now till next 100 years in Nigeria as presently structured, a most qualified professor of Law or Economics from northern Nigeria must win a goat from southern Nigeria, so long as northern Nigeria wants to have the presidency in the north.
Fixed.

discusant:
A presidential candidate needs 25% of votes in 24 states to win. But northern soldiers wrongly used land mass as criterion and created 20 new federal units (19 states + Abuja) and hundreds of local govt areas in the ONE REGION north; but allowed only 17 states and fewer local govt areas in once TWO REGIONS South. This is the fraud. Land mass is never used as criterion to create new states or new regions or provinces in a federal country.
So the entire North is one region, but the South consists of 2 regions?

This is why you and the IPOB you represent are bigger frauds.

So the issue now is about the number of states the Igbos should secede with ? Hmm, that's in interesting! By the way, which region are you from and what's your contribution to national purse?
1. Yes, use your tongue to count your teeth.

2. Poor attempt at derailing the thread.

Was there any country created to be indivisible?

A country can only exist as far as it is serving the needs of the people who came together to agree to belong to the country.

It is even suspected that the British man did not say what was credited to him in Kogi state. Even if he did, don't believe that Britain shall send army to fight Biafra for your Muslim/Fulani Empire Nigeria. That's like fighting together and sending arms to Islamic terrorists.

US and Britain will NEVER sell weapons to your Muslim/Fulani army to fight Biafra in today's world. No British or US soldier shall side with your quasi Boko Haram Janjhaweeds forces to fight Biafra.

Love peaceful Resolution of Issues - Use Referendum, as the British used it in Brexit and in Scotland.

It's stupid your dependence on war. After war, issues that caused war are still settled on the negotiation table.
1. There's no such thing as muslim/fulani army, but the Nigerian army made up of Ibos, Yorubas, Hausas and other ethnicities, which has churches in all its barracks and clergy men. The same Nigerian army which the UK aided during the war to crush biafran rebels 50 years ago.

2. Nobody wants war, but if that's the option chosen by ipob rebels, then they will receive it in full measure. It's clear from my original post that a referendum is now totally out of the question, so the rebels are left with only one option if they refuse to be obedient and law abiding Nigerians.
PoliticsRe: Britain Says It Will Not Allow Nigeria To Break Up by BMedia: 3:26pm On Apr 07, 2017
saintandsinnerz:
Why are you all hypocrites fighting tooth and nail to prevent the Igbos from leaving Nigeria? I thought you people hate them so much, why are you insisting that they remain in Nigeria? One would have thought that other ethnic groups in Nigeria will be happy seeing the people they hate so much to leave Nigeria, but reverse is the case. Are you gaining anything from Igbos remaining in Nigeria?
1. Most Nigerians don't mind if ibos leave Nigeria (it's not as if they contribute anything significant to the national purse; they produce less than 4% of crude oil), but what Nigerians will never accept is ibos trying to leave with more than their 5 states where they're the majority, and attempting to force the SS to go with them because of their oil wealth and access to the ocean.

2. Most Ibos voted Jonathan to rule a united Nigeria till 2019... how come in 2016 they suddenly want to break the country?

Did I hear you mention hypocrisy?

Search yourself for the honest answer to the above question and you will understand why certain Nigerians are against the Ibo secession at this time.

P.S nobody hates ibos, but everyone else detests fraudulent recalcitrant liepods and their ipob antics.
PoliticsRe: Britain Says It Will Not Allow Nigeria To Break Up by BMedia: 1:41pm On Apr 07, 2017
This means several things:

1. The US is also in support of one Nigeria because the UK and the US are long standing allies that never go against one another, especially on issues of sovereignty.

2. The UK and US are the most powerful members of the UN with veto powers, so a UN sponsored/supervised referendum is out of the question; it's just not happening.

3. In the event of military engagement in the quest for biafra, the UK and US will be on Nigeria's side again and defend her sovereignty (through sale of weapons or outright participation in the melee) like they did in 1967.

4. The Nigerian government now has even more impetus to prosecute and punish Nnamdi Kanu, a Briton, with this renewed UK support for an indivisible Nigeria.

5. The IPOB propaganda to paint Nigeria in bad light through fraudulent claims so as to gain the sympathy / support of the international community, has failed woefully.

What a sad day for the Liepods.

The guy you quoted is an Afonja. Whenever Militants blow up pipelines, they will be all over media talking about environment as if they care. Now the real environmental issue has shown up,he is blaming you for complaining.
Why don't you keep supporting the avengers to continue blowing the pipelines? Why are you wailing here?

It seems like you thought blowing your pipelines will affect the average man in Daura or Kano? Because you sound surprised at seeing and breathing the pollution from bombing and bunkering in your backyard.

I think the O.P should direct her question to the nairaland avengers and IPOD for an answer.

Igbos need to learn how to play politics and shun hatred and empty pride/arrogance.

Build political alliances with the SW and other regions in order to thrive in this country. You cannot get Biafra, you don't have a military that can get you Biafra, nobody is giving you a referendum because you simply want it and you lack the power to force it, the bottom line is your future is in Nigeria.

Without the SW cooperation, Igbos will never produce a President or be able to elect one that will protect their interests, ESPECIALLY if they continue to deliberately ensure their interests are always opposite to that of the SW.

Grandstanding will get you nowhere and you need us more than ever no matter how many times you shout afonja . This is the bitter truth.
