'Seeing the light' is a definite encounter which those who truly saw the light experienced. One can be convicted of his her sins without experiencing salvation. A man that experiences conversion can never remain as he was. If your friends truly were converted and you are not, certainly state of friendship be the 2 of you will never remain same. Romans 7 said light has no part with darkness. So to know if they are truly converted, observe if there are changes in their lifestyle, practices and conversation. It is a practical thing bro.
