Reading your post made me sad. Why? There are lots of people who think like you. If you're giving 100k for your farm[Govt plans to takeover farmland], and some farmers chose to "go green" ie use the new fertilizers that are not actually fertilizers. Then, suddenly, there's a global food shortage due to the low yield. Your "money" becomes nothing and the value goes down due to inflation[Lots of money in circulation, chasing after fewer goods] In the end, you wish you still had your land, but they also plan to ban farming on your own land due to "Nitrogen emission" Everyone now depends on the govt., which is the whole plan. viyon02: |
UK Farmers are to be paid up to £100,000 to retire in a bid to freshen the industry with Farmers who are keen on green methods. Environment Secretary George Eustice believes that some older farmers are hesitant to employ new green methods. He told the Oxford Farming Conference that some older farmers were 'standing in the way of change'. 'There's evidence that farmers who wish to leave farming can find it difficult to generate capital to do so. 'So, a lump sum payment could help contribute to the costs of moving somewhere new or moving into an alternative sector.' Taking a cue from Sri Lanka govt. “A food, energy, and financial crisis have brought down Sri Lanka’s government. But the underlying cause is the fact that the nation’s political leaders had fallen under the spell of green elites peddling ‘ESG’ and banning modern fertilizers,” “The decision to overnight shift away from synthetic fertilizers was an absolute disaster,” Before its people stormed the presidential palace and overthrew the government, Sri Lanka had one of the highest ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) scores in the world. The ESG score is a new metric concocted by the corporate establishment to measure how “sustainable” and socially “equitable” nations and companies are. These ESG initiatives like banning fertilizer caused the nation’s rice crop to fall by 20% in the first six months, crop productions to drop by 40-50%, and inflation to explode to 54%, which led 500,000 Sri Lankans into poverty. Europe, constantly declaring the need to abandon Russian energy sources, is now coming up with a plan in case Russia cuts off gas supplies, writes Bloomberg . Brussels is striving for this at the same time, but they are also afraid of such a scenario. In order to stop gas supplies from becoming unexpected, the European Commission is preparing additional measures that will help the countries of the region save fuel, as well as reduce fuel costs for the population and businesses. Immediate action could reduce the impact of sudden supply disruptions by a third, according to the document cited by the publication. Joint decisions at the EU level, taken during the filling phase of gas storage facilities, will help soften the blow later in the winter if the flow of Russian gas stops. If deliveries are stopped this month, then by November the gas storage facilities will be filled by 71% against the original plan of 80%. If problems arise later - from October, then the risks will be lower, but there will be less time to correct the situation. “Everyone can save gas – even those in vulnerable sectors, such as private consumers, buildings managed by local authorities, sectors that have the opportunity to use other fuels, and also, depending on the context of a particular state, the electricity sector.” In addition to gas savings, the EC proposed to conduct extensive information campaigns to reduce energy costs for heating and air conditioning. The European Commissioners also called for the consideration of mandatory limits in critical situations. |

The British Ministry of Defense has accused the BBC corporation that it could endanger the lives and reputation of the "brave personnel" of the country's Armed Forces if it releases its own film investigating how the UK special forces massacred the inhabitants of Afghanistan . We are talking about the events of 2010-2011, when the military of the Special Airborne Service of the British Armed Forces (SAS) without trial executed Afghans who were allegedly associated with the Taliban *. Journalists found out that about 54 Afghan civilians were killed at the hands of the British military. Former members of the SAS confess that they killed unarmed people by staging night raids. The Ministry of Defense believes that the channel draws conclusions on the basis of already investigated charges, although the police have not previously found evidence for a judicial investigation. "Insinuations to the contrary are irresponsible, misleading and endanger our brave military personnel both on the ground and in terms of reputation." https://www.bbc.com/news/world-60690688

You still have to argue. The US protects Germany and Japan after they were defeated. They have their bases in those countries. Germany prospered because it focused on their economy The excuse for nations to arm themselves came with the US military-industrial complex. Arms manufacturers just want to make profits Obama era, there was a war on almost every continent During Trumps' era, there was no war and they hated him for it. He stopped funding for the Pentagon war in Syria and ISIS/Al Qaeda AKA Syrian opposition, when the funding dried up, the war turned in favor of Asad and Russia. Now, during the Biden era, the Ukraine war erupts again. US congress and EU funds it. Its a business Its like the vaccines. They create a problem, then they make profit by proffering solution BritishNaija: |
Don't always assume you know certain info when you clearly don't. After Hitler was defeated, the US promised West Germany to take care of them militarily. Russia was in-charge of East Germany until the Berlin wall was dismantled to unite East and West Germany. The US army base is located in Germany even till date. BritishNaija: |
I'm sure you won't blame the US for promising to protect Germany militarily, which resulted in lax defense spending. Only when it becomes a talking point by MSM. BritishNaija: |
President Emmanuel Macron’s week-old government has survived a no-confidence vote in the French parliament -- after Marine Le Pen’s far-right party and conservatives said they would abstain from the ballot. French Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne survived her first no-confidence vote in parliament on Monday sponsored by the hard-left opposition. The no-confidence motion from the hard-left France Unbowed (LFI) party was backed by just 146 of the National Assembly's 577 deputies after close to three hours of debate. Borne is the head of a minority government, making her vulnerable to such votes, but other opposition parties did not back the initiative to bring her down. She was named by Macron in May, a month before parliamentary elections in which the ruling centrist party lost its majority. Macron faces pressure over 'Uber leaks' Monday's vote comes as Macron is under pressure to explain allegations of his past support for taxi app Uber while he was economy minister from 2014-2016. The left-wing coalition led by Jean-Luc Melenchon filed the motion on Monday to mark its opposition to Macron’s pro-business agenda, and needed an outright majority of 289 votes to be successful. Only 146 lawmakers out of 577 voted in favor of ousting the government led by Elisabeth Borne. Investigations by a consortium of media including France's Le Monde newspaper claimed Macron held several undeclared meetings with Uber executives while during his term as economy minister. According to the reports, a "secret deal" entailed Macron promising to help Uber work around legislation introduced in 2014, which sought to regulate the new app-based taxi hailing services. Le Monde described Macron as "more than a supporter, almost a partner" for Uber over the course of 17 meetings held by him or his staff with company executives at a time when the firm faced multiple legal enquiries. |
You keep repeating US talking points. "Germany was warned," People who believe it is logical to bite the hands that feed them are delusory. You can't try to bring Russia to its knees while simultaneously playing the victim. Most people are aware of this reality. The conflict in Ukraine did not begin with the February war; it has been ongoing since 2014[Obama era]. It defies comprehension to try to effect regime change in Russia while also crying foul when your oppressive tools are working against you. The sanctions were intended to punish ordinary Russians in order to spark an uprising against Putin. The West's problem has only just begun. Boris will not be the last to be removed from office. How is Germany coping without Russian oil? Your argument is that Germany needed time to get alternative? Like shipping oil/Gas from US/Libya? How many months does it take to pay for it and get it shipped? Germany and the West considers the alternative as doing away with Gas/Oil Biden wants Saudi Arabia to help them, so that in a few years they can come up with alternative to oil/gas? Who wants to be a place-holder? No one Germany can Coup without buying Oil from Russia. The problem here was that they never emphasized that Russia will invade Ukraine two years ago, If not, They would have got alternative. BritishNaija: |
Read your own posts after you're done posting them. It makes no sense. You can't create a policy out of a wish. You can't create electricity out of thin air. Charging car ports for electric vehicles get charged with electricity from fuel. If you buy an electric car, you will still pay the electricity bill and your electricity is powered by fuel and coal Germany has gone back to coal and hydro energy. It's like going back to your vomit and that's because there's no alternative. When the rubber meets the road, reality humbles the arrogant West Give the West 10yrs, they'll still not be able to replace gas and fuel. BritishNaija: |
Russian opposition thinks Putin is weak. Putin was addressing the opposition when he stated that Russia haven't begun in Ukraine[I'm paraphrasing his comment] I'm grateful to God for Putin. He's the road-block or bump to slow down the globalist agenda. The world would have been on full climate/food crisis lockdown due to "nitrogen emission"...Dutch/Polish/Italian/Kenya/Sri Lankan farmers are having a taste of what was in the pipeline for the world. rottennaija: |
The head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, after a meeting of G20 foreign ministers, said that the "global battle of narratives" over Ukraine is "in full swing", and the EU's position on this issue is not predominant. "The global battle of narratives is in full swing, and at the moment we are not winning," Josep Borrell said. None of the G20 countries except the Russian Federation voted against the resolution , Borrell recalled. However, opinions about how to move forward "diverge sharply," continues the head of European diplomacy. While the G7 countries ( Great Britain , Germany , Italy , Canada , France , Japan and the United States ) and their associates "are united in condemning Russia and imposing sanctions against it," other countries "often take a different point of view," Borrell admitted. In his opinion, for various reasons, many adhere to a low-key position: some are "more concerned about the consequences of the war for themselves", others complain about "double standards" or want to maintain good relations with the Russian Federation - or "do not want to take sides, because it would jeopardize their geopolitical interests." According to him, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov left the G20 meeting immediately after his speech and "didn't even bother to listen to what others were saying." "This decision says everything there is to know about how much Russia is really interested in multilateral forums. I hope that some of the G20 members who are taking a wait-and-see attitude towards the war in Ukraine have taken note of this," Borrell concluded. Global elites and the Davos crowd wants to create a warped reality around everything. its primary purpose is to tell complete made-up stories,a narrative deliberately weaving motifs through events, scenes, and details.- a story that attempts to legitimize a technocratic takeover of society and the global economy by claiming to work for the "benefit of mankind" using technologies emerging from the so-called fourth industrial revolution. |
You don't have what you don't have. You trade with those who have what you need. You don't impose your will on your trading partners. If you demand they abide by your values AKA "Liberal World Order" AKA Homo-sexuality, Trans-genderism, Climate agenda etc., before you do business with them, they should be able to walk away. You don't take poison in the hopes that your adversary will suffer. Sanctions are harming the German economy. For example, due to Russian sanctions, Canadian Siemens chose not to repair Gasprom equipment, which should have delivered gas to Germany. I hope they keep the sanction regime going though BritishNaija: |

Anti-Russian sanctions will put an end to the German business model, journalist Mark Friedrich wrote in an op-ed for Deutsche Wirtschaft Nachrichten . The journalist emphasized that Germany depends on the availability of cheap raw materials - it is the basis for the German economy. "Other countries such as India , China , Brazil and Turkey are only too happy to buy important raw materials from Russia," he continued. "Germany is losing productivity and competitiveness en masse, which will cost her jobs, social security and prosperity," Friedrich warned. According to him, Berlin "moved to the sidelines" because of its own political mistakes and arrogance and now will not be able to keep the European Union afloat. "Opportunities are shrinking in parallel with Germany's economic destruction," the observer continued. He explained that the country will fall into a vicious circle of upheavals and no way out of this situation is foreseen. "You are standing in front of the ruins of a massively failed energy policy that has been ideologically blinded," Friedrich said. |
Germany is delaying the allocation of EU aid to Ukraine in the amount of nine billion euros due to disagreement with the EC over the source of funding, the Italian newspaper Corriere della Serra writes . According to the media, the decision on the next aid package was made at the EU summit at the end of June. However, German Finance Minister Christian Lindner opposed the sponsorship of Kiev at the expense of the common European debt. At the moment, he approved only a billion tranche, which will go to Kyiv before the end of July. Kyiv reacted negatively to Canada's decision on the turbine for Nord Stream The head of the gas transmission system operator of Ukraine, Serhiy Makogon, called Canada's decision to return the turbine to Gazprom for Nord Stream a bad precedent. Earlier, Reuters, citing a source familiar with the situation, reported that Canada had already decided to return the turbine for the Nord Stream pipeline to Germany . |
Russia is now to blame. Nitrogen emissions will be blamed tomorrow for preventing farmers from farming and killing cattle so that you can eat crickets, to save the environment. Zelensky was utterly humiliated after only four African leaders out of the continent’s 55 nations tuned in to his virtual meeting with the African Union, one of whom was the group’s chairman and thus had to do so due to protocol. This ratio would never be replicated in the Golden Billion since those countries’ leaders are working overtime to portray their Ukrainian counterpart as the “Second Jesus”, which is part of their scheme to control their people through the creation of a new “secular religion” after the prior one connected to COVID-19 finally began to lose its sway over the masses. Africans, however, have no interest in joining this post-modern cult and therefore don’t feel obliged to listen to this faux “god”, especially since they have no interest in hearing his lies about Russia. Even though some of them voted against Moscow at the UN under Western pressure, not a single one jointed that declining unipolar hegemon’s sanctions against it. Furthermore, Chairman Macky Sall met with President Putin in early June, during which time he condemned the West’s anti-Russian sanctions as contributing to the global food crisis, which contradicts the US’ false narrative about this. https://korybko.substack.com/p/african-leaders-snubbed-zelensky jimetagambo:

Saturday’s demonstrations were the latest in a months-long protest movement sparked by an unprecedented economic crisis in the South Asian nation. Fuel has almost run out, food prices and hunger have spiked and the country defaulted on its foreign debt repayment. The turmoil has felled the political dynasty that dominated Sri Lanka for nearly two decades. Domestic factors, including government policies, are largely to blame. The President backed a ban on chemical fertilizers that dented crop yields as food prices skyrocketed worldwide. The coronavirus pandemic decimated Sri Lanka’s tourism industry, a key source of foreign currency. Sri Lankan authorities have sought aid from India and China, and Gotabaya called Russian President Vladimir Putin this week to ask for help with importing fuel. Hours earlier Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe had announced his own impending resignation, amid calls for him to quit. But he said he will not step down until a new government is formed, angering protesters who demanded his immediate departure. “Today in this country we have a fuel crisis, a food shortage, we have the head of the World Food Program coming here and we have several matters to discuss with the IMF,” Wickremesinghe said.. “Therefore, if this government leaves there should be another government.” In related story, Dutch farmers are protesting the Netherlands' and WEF $26 billion climate plan that could reduce the livestock population by 30%. The Netherlands is planning on halving its nitrogen output by 2030. The government plan would shutter some farms, as much of the nitrogen is blamed on manure and fertilizer from cattle. |
You simply regurgitated everything you were fed by Western media. You accuse others of your actions. It's known as "Mirroring." NATO bombed Libya etc Some of us are no longer interested in what the West has to offer. They locked you up for two years under "covid" and are about to lock you up again. It's known as "climate lockdown." They will create an artificial food crisis, and you will be prohibited from growing your own food. Pay attention to what is happening in Sri Lanka. The govt., has fallen Dutch farmers just got the memo and its going to be the downfall of the West pquaver: |
The Russians will not be defeated, period, for the simple reason that, by orders of magnitude, Ukraine means more to them than it does to us. They see a Ukraine within NATO, armed to the teeth with U.S. sophisticated weapons aimed at them, as an existential threat to mother Russia. They won't let it happen. They have said so for years. If the war looks as though it's moving toward a Russian defeat, they will do what it takes to avert that. We don't want that outcome. That way lies catastrophe. There was never a U.S. or Western strategic interest in Ukraine for which it was rational for us to provoke this war. And once this war started, Russia's commitment to its successful conclusion — inevitably, unavoidably — was known to all who could fog a mirror as greater than that of the U.S. and the West. Western policy elites who claim not to have seen this war coming — after the Biden administration treated Ukraine as a de facto member of NATO during all of 2021, and after Russia had been saying for nearly a decade that it would not tolerate Ukraine as a U.S. military bulwark on its border — are just plain fools. If they really were this blind, they were unqualified for their jobs. Before the war started, as late as December of 2021, the Russians very probably would have settled the Ukraine problem by a declaration of permanent Ukrainian neutrality (i.e., no NATO membership, ever); some form of reasonable autonomy for the Russian-speaking, pro-Russian Donbas within Ukraine; and recognition of Crimea as Russian. This settlement in no way would have adversely affected legitimate U.S./Western interests. The only U.S. ox that would have been gored by this settlement would have been that of our odious neocon triumphalists, who want America to destroy Russia and become the world's unquestioned hegemon. Now, after Russian lives, treasure, and U.S.-orchestrated sanctions and obloquy, who knows what Russia's demands will be? The West's interest in Ukraine, on the other hand, is merely a neocon, U.S. hegemony adventure, seeking to assert U.S. top dog dominance in Eastern Europe, and thereafter the world. Failing to achieve this foolish and arrogant goal, the culmination of U.S.-sponsored eastern expansion of NATO to which Russia has objected vigorously since the time of Yeltsin would in no way threaten any real U.S. or Western interest. Other things being roughly equal (as they are in this war), victory in war goes to the side with the greater commitment and willingness to suffer. Russia has the greater will in this war. And it knows how to suffer. Therefore, it wins. Unless the Pentagon chooses nuclear Armageddon, in which case both sides will lose. It was a fool's errand for the U.S. to provoke this war, and for that matter a fool's errand from the start (1999), for the U.S. to expand NATO eastward in the total absence of any Russian threat after the collapse of the Soviet Union. https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2022/07/russias_will_to_win_in_ukraine.html |
There’s no need to fret about the timing of a US recession anymore, according to Wells Fargo Investment Institute -- because US economy is already in one. A recession is defined as two consecutive quarters with negative growth. The investment strategy arm of the bank says the US is entering a recession in the second half of the year -- in other words, now -- amid inflation that’s faster and more broad-based than expected, weakening consumer sentiment and corporations flagging a shift in spending. That forecast differs from just over a month ago, when the group saw a mild recession and not until the end of this year, but moved up the timing and the severity to “moderate.” “There’s the technical part of the recession, but then there’s the meaningful deterioration in consumption and employment,” said Sameer Samana, senior global market strategist in the investment group. “The technical part is a first half story and the brunt of the unemployment and consumption is the second-half” of the year, he said by phone Thursday. US GDP fell an estimated 1.6% in the first quarter, and real-time data from the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta sees a drop of a similar magnitude in the three months ended June 30 -- but the government’s official report of a preliminary estimate won’t be released until later this month. Should that show a negative print, the US would be in a technical recession. But a more broadly used measure -- and one used by the National Bureau of Economic Research, the private organization responsible for calling the official timing of a recession -- is a marked decline across the economy in a range of indicators, including the labor market, investment and spending. That’s what Samana’s group said will be felt by Americans for the rest of this year. They now forecast unemployment rates of 5.2% by the end of 2023, and 4.3% this year, both marked up from their previous forecasts of 4.4% and 3.8% respectively. The unemployment rate in June is predicted to hold at 3.6% -- near the lowest in more than 50 years -- ahead of government data to be released Friday. Consumer prices, already rising at the fastest pace in 40 years, are expected to have accelerated further in June to 8.8% from the prior year, ahead of government data released next week. That will force the Fed to act more aggressively in raising interest rates to cool price growth, leading to a bigger shock to the labor market and spending, according to Samana. He also noted recent commentary from retailers Walmart Inc. and Target Corp., who have flagged a shift in what people are buying as prices accelerate. That’s been marked by more spending on basics such as food and fewer discretionary purchases like clothing. https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/us-recession-already-according-wells-203214374.html |

The Hungarian government has criticized the European Parliament's idea of a "fair distribution of gas" between EU countries in the face of fuel shortages. Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto spoke about requests to "share gas". "Gas bought with the money of Hungarian taxpayers and stored in Hungarian gas storage facilities will be used in Hungary. The EP proposal reminds us of communism in some way," the minister said. |
Mass protests have already begun in a number of Western European countries. In particular, farmers from Germany took part in the demonstrations. They stand near the roads along with the equipment, drawing the attention of fellow citizens to their problems. Agricultural workers are protesting against rising prices for fuel and raw materials in connection with the consequences of large-scale anti-Russian sanctions and record inflation caused by them. Farmers from the Netherlands, Italy and Poland also take to the streets in connection with the crisis. This even leads to clashes with the police: activists burn bales of hay right in the middle of the highway, the security forces use special equipment against them. Europe will have to abandon the "green agenda" and start using fossil fuels again, otherwise the EU countries will be seized by riots in winter due to high energy prices. This is reported by The Guardian, citing the words of the first deputy chairman of the European Commission, Frans Timmermans. The European official suggested that "the lack of energy will lead to great upheaval in societies" and discord. The Deputy Head of the European Commission also stressed that the problem of fuel shortage will definitely outweigh the priority of the tasks set to solve the climate crisis. Timmermans is sure: "People are more worried about an immediate crisis than about a long-term struggle with problems." He noted that if Europe does not solve the problem of the "urgent crisis" now by united efforts, then the union will thus move away from solving long-term problems. According to the official, coal fuel can be used again to reduce tensions in society. The governments of the EU countries by November should give people a guarantee that this winter they will live in heated houses. He added that otherwise "society will be on the brink due to high energy prices, inflation, rising food costs and uncertainty" due to the conflict in Ukraine. Summing up, Timmermans called on the European Union "to prepare for a very difficult period." |

Russia has yet to start anything in earnest in Ukraine, President Vladimir Putin said . "Everyone should know that we, by and large, have not started anything seriously yet," he said at a meeting with faction leaders in the State Duma . Since February 24, Russia has been conducting a special operation to protect the inhabitants of Donbass , who, as Vladimir Putin emphasized , have been subjected to genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years. Allied forces have already liberated the territory of the LPR , as well as a significant part of the DPR , including Volnovakha , Mariupol and Svyatogorsk . |
