Nobody has been asked to spy them.its just to report all irregular developments to security agencies.its even better to expose them on time before they expose ur shattered bones. |
The accusations and counter accusations over the spate of insecurity in Nigeria between the Ijaw leader and statesman Edwin Clark and northern leaders is yet to abate: “That was a dishonest lie by E.K Clark. Northern elders have never been against Jonathan’s administration. And northern elders are not Boko Haram. We all want peace for this nation. Unfortunately, the government has allowed Boko Haram to be in charge. They are not doing enough in that respect. For anybody to say that we are using Boko Haram to destablise Jonathan’s administration means that the person is telling a blatant lie.'' http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/08/northern-leaders-blast-edwin-clark/ |
His sins will surely catch up with him if he really has been doing all this |
In the statement signed by the sect’s spokesman, Abul Qaqa said ‘All praises goes to Almighty Allah. This is a very important message from the Jama’atu Ahlis Sunnah Lidda’awati Wal Jihad. ‘We wish to extend our profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for giving us the opportunity to fulfill the promise we made on launching spontaneous attacks in Sokoto. ‘We have reasons for all our activities and we only kill those who wronged us. We attacked Sokoto because many of our brethren have been incarcerated there. We are gladdened by the successes we recorded at the office of the AIG in Marina and the police divisional office at Unguwan Rogo as well as the police station at Arkila. http://dailypost.com.ng/2012/08/01/we-reasons-activities-boko-haram/ |
Babangida spoke a day after he and former President Olusegun Obasanjo issued a joint statement decrying the deteriorating security situation in Nigeria and urged the government to utilise the “ample opportunities” available to dialogue with the insurgents. He said yesterday that the government had called upon people like him who had once ruled this country to come together toward charting a course for lasting peace. “The president has called on us who were once head of government to come together toward working out modalities for lasting peace in the country,” he said. He said the invitation by the government informed his first meeting with former president Olusegun Obasanjo in Abuja last week. He, however, declined to make further comment on the last meeting and the agenda for subsequent meetings, saying doing so was tantamount to pre-emptying the forum. “I am confident that in no distance future the present security challenge will be an issue of the past, because the federal government has started taking proactive measures towards the restoration of peace in the country”. Babangida appealed to Nigerians who have meaningful contribution to make for addressing the present security predicament to come forward and do so. |
A comparison of the two prominent religion in Nigeria reveals that the supreme being reverenced by the two groups are often regarded as powerful ,all knowing, and self reliant.it is however worrisome that followers of these religions often misinterpret the teachings of their religion leading to violence (religious clashes) and so on. BOKOHARAM today claims the incessant bombing in the north is aimed at Islamizing Nigeria, and to rid Nigeria of infidels.is this what Allah really wants? did his prophet (Mohammed )preach this?. We hear from Christian faithfuls that the God of Israel often rain down stones to kill his enemy, sometimes fire is sent to consume those who challenge Him,smote them himself or sends his angel to confront Them. The question that comes to mind today is: -is BOKOHARAM Allahs angels? -can't God fight for himself? -is God so incapacitated that terrorists are now recruited to fight for Him? -is this cause a true representation of Isam?. I just feel people should return back to our African traditional religion, where there is brotherhood ,peace and love . |
It's commendable.but I see that a project that is yet to take off has started receiving criticism...NIGERIANS !. |
Bishop of the Owo Diocese of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Rt. Rev. James Oladunjoye, fears Nigeria may disintegrate under President Goodluck Jonathan if he fails to bring sponsors of the dreadful Boko Haram sect to book. He is of the view that BOKOHARAM sponsors are those that are no longer in government or in the corridors of power who feel that it is their birth right. http://naijabreakingnews..com/2012/07/fg-knows-boko-haram-sponsors-bishop.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+WelcomeToNigeriaBreakingNewsBlog+%28Welcome+to+Nigeria+Breaking+News+Blog%21%21%21%29 |
There are more pressing issues on ground. |
We really need to encourage them.atleast we wia there. |
bohboh275: I don't think boko haram phenomenon is motivated by religion to me it is clearly political. This Northerners think and believe they own Nigeria and would stop at nothing to make the country ungovernable because a southerner is in power especially after OBJ ruled for 8 years and Yar'adua didn't even finish is term before he dead in office. We Nigerians have to wise up and understand this have nothing to do with GOD or Religion. Boko Haram is just using religion as an umbrella to hide under and also to manipulate people their real motivation and people behind it is political.Am quite impressed with ur contribution.and I so much agree wt u.this is not a religious war,it is just political cos some persons feel that they alone can only rule Nigeria.and majority of us have failed to see the handwrittings on the wall.we really need to wake up. |
mtcheeeew! we all know Melaye na. was he not one of the people who strongly backed Patricia Etteh even when her atrocities were glaring.just because He was having affair with the then speaker,a woman old enough to be his mother. |
Our legislators are the most corrupt group on planet earth...they are the same people. |
The ruling People’s Democratic Party(PDP) has distanced itself from the trial of Mahmud Tukur, the son of its national chairman, Bamanga Tukur, who is facing charges alongside dozens of others over multibillion naira fuel subsidy fraud. The younger Mr. Tukur was arraigned on Thursday before a Lagos High Court after repeated rescheduling of the arraignment of the first batch of offenders indicted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. They were however granted bail ahead of a trial set for November 13, 2012. The ruling PDP wrestled with concerns whether the involvement of the younger Mr. Tukur and the company he heads, Eterna Oil, in the huge scam had any bearing on the integrity of either his father or the party he leads. At a media conference in Abuja Thursday, the party’s Deputy National Chairman, Sam Jaja, said the trial involved individuals and that Mr. Tukur was “up to age” to answer to his questions. “PDP did not send anybody to go and misbehave,” Mr. Jaja said. “Even if you mention my Chairman’s son, he is up to age, assuming he is to go to jail they will not come and jail the National Chairman, because he did not send him. He is a man of age and he has household, he has his family, everybody account for his own position.” He however said it was clear as suspects, those named- involving over 140 persons- remained innocent until proven guilty. They party will not condemn or exonerate those accused at this stage, but will take a position after they may have been found guilty, he said. “They will be given equal opportunity to defend themselves in competent court of law,” he said. http://premiumtimesng.com/business/6244-Bamanga-Tukurs-son-his-own-says-PDP.html (Quote) (Report) (Like) |
LONDON promise the world a grandiose show tha will ever remain green in the Memories of all for the rest of their lives. past four recent games, Sydney and Beijing stand out as magnificent and stupendous shows that people still talk about till date. Beijing was so full of science and technology that London, the next hosts were so awed that they said “well, we will do it our own way.” They did not believe that they could match or surpass what Beijing offered and reminded all that they would do it their own way. But as time dragged on they grew in confidence and now say they will organise the best games ever. And they intend to begin with the opening ceremony. Typical of Britons, they have boasted about tomorrows ‘s show more than the citizens of the past games did about the shows they hosted. England wins everything in the media but when it matters most they fail and begin to offer excuses that denied them the best. They still don’t believe their last team to the European Championship was awful. Before the competition, just like the past World Cups, they boasted of winning but never came close to doing so. However, they are good in inventing things. Interestingly but unfortunately to them other countries later outdo them in their game. They invented football but the game eluded them and Brazil came to be known as custodians of the beautiful game. The theme song for Euro ’96 that they hosted was and which this reporter covered was “Football is coming home.” They wanted to win it and prove to the world that football has come home, to where it began. But they did not even get to the final although they presented what remains their best team in modern times. With David Seaman, Addams, Nevile, Southgate, Pearce, Ince, Gascoigne, McManaman, Sheringham, and Shearer they looked a solid team. But Germany beat them in the semifinal and football never returned home. |
Nigerian Army, Thursday, unveiled and presented vehicle stoppers to some Churches and Mosques, as part of its corporate social responsibility in curtailing the spate of suicide bombing at worship centres across the country.http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/07/army-presents-anti-bombing-devices-to-churches-mosques/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter |
our problem is that we are always quick to react, even when we are not properly informed.and daily post was really unprofessional yesterday for misguiding the public.how can you carry a news you are not sure of? |
birds of same feather flocks together. |
can any good thing come out from our legislators?.how will they check the excesses of the executive ,its pathetic. |
I used to admire and respect pastor Tunde Bakare, not until recently when he started mixing politics and religion by manipulating the faith of his followers and using it to Forster his selfish political interest. As a cleric, pastor Bakare is supposed to educate his followers on how to become agents of peace and not violence or destruction by balancing their perception on issues that can trigger conflict because Nigerians naturally react to tensions and cries without being fully informed.we always see the best form of defense as a strong offence. Pastor Bakare should know that peace is about relationship and respect, and a person can not be won through hatred, rather through tolerance |
With stories linking RVP to Italian giant Juventus and Manchester city topping the headlines.source http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/transfer-rumours/120724/transfer-rumours-and-paper-review-john-cross-tuesday-july-24 |
Please can any one tell me why Bakare was invited?. |
I just pray we see a judiciary that will be independent. |
It's been long I wrote our legislators off. all this struggle still points to one direction.the truth is that Iweala came back and blocked all looting holes. |
Yawns !. A nice manifesto.seriously warming up for 2015. |
Talk is cheap.you are a priest, you come to church, misplace your priorities, preach politics and incite violence. #God is watching you |
The war on terrorism which has dragged for long has become a cause of worry to the entire citizens of Nigeria and its govt at all levels.many a times ,the spate of insecurity has always been attributed to the inability of the FG to confront this challenge, thereby exhonourating other elected office holders(governors, senators, council chairmen, councillors among others.) who are most times recognised as the "chief security" of their states, local govt or counstituencies as the case may be.the question that naw calls to mind is "how far have these elected representatives gone in securing the population which they are representing even after been allocated security votes,or is the provision of security exclusively reserved for the Federal Government?". |
This issue is a very sensitive one which needs more than a second thought.but i believe Gov will soon end this nomads madness . |
Kpac,I agree wt u all is not presently well and am sure u wia not born during military dispensation .thatts the last thing any reasonable Nigerian want.do u think Nigeria is the only nation going through trying times?you made an assertion that Mr president is condoning corruption, forgetting that this war is supposed to be directed to all those that have been taskd to fish out and prosecute corrupt persons. |
This is rubbish !.this lawmakers are greedy, unresponsive and insensitive,I wonda the kind of selfish individuals that are representing us.are dey not aware that even in the public service,u have to serve for a particular period before u can be pensionable .this people think we are happy with the jumbo salaries and allowances they take home on regular basis. ![]() |
Mr poster, their are more pressing issues on ground that calls for attention.Biafra cant stand as a Nation cos it is bound to disintegrate .the prime movers of the cause alone are very selfish. |
Good one from the CAN leader .aw can leaders of BOKOHARAM be ITO,without the group?.its high time the US make open their interest and intentions in Nigeria. |
.this people think we are happy with the jumbo salaries and allowances they take home on regular basis.
