God1000: I doubt the plan was to destroy all of Ukraine. I want to think the ideas was to force them into reconsidering joining NATO. Else a lot of damaged would have been carried out in the first couple of weeks before Ukraine started getting help. Russia for starters would have targeted ukraines defense systems. But I suppose we never know now |

sexylassie2: No one said there are no successful black men out there. What I’m saying is that the system makes it hard to get out. Schools in black neighborhoods are underfunded. Police officers have arrest targets, and where else to go than the vulnerable black neighborhoods where no one can stand up to them. You black kids are arrest and Jailed for crimes like possession of marijuana, shoplifting, public disturbance kids will always be kids. But white kids only get cautions. Now the young black kid by the time he’s done his time is an Ex-convict even before the age of 18 that’s something he has to carry about all his life. What the average white guy would call a mistake is what will ruin the life of an average black kid. |

I feel offended when I read comments like this. But then I understand it’s a lack of knowledge that makes people call African Americans lazy. Kindly read on black history Read on structural and institutional racism Do you know that after the abolishment if slavery. The black were not even given lands of their own to cultivate and yet Europeans emigrating to the states were given a land to start on. Have you read about how black efforts are frustrated. Have you read about how hard it is to get out of the slums. How a Blackman has to try three times harder than a White man. Have you read about white privilege. I’ll leave you with a quote from 2Pac we wouldn't ask why a rose that grew from the concrete for having damaged petals, in turn, we would all celebrate its tenacity, we would all love its will to reach the sun, well, we are the roses, this is the concrete and these are my damaged petals, dont ask me why, thank god, and ask me how Tupac Shakur, The Rose That Grew from Concrete YorubaKinging: 2 Likes |

Politics / Re: Photos Of Oil Spillage In Niger Delta Communities by bobbybash(m): 2:37am On Aug 24, 2017 |
This is a really terrible sight to behold I believe a lot should be done for the Niger delta States. Especially in the case of oil spillage and cleaning of the already affected areas. I also think that the southern governors should be held more responsible for the 13% derivative and other allocations they get as much as the federal government and the oil producing firms operating in the area. Water is a major natural resource and when it's polluted like this, it leaves a lot to be desired. |

Business / Re: CBN New Forex Rate Policy Announced by bobbybash(m): 11:32pm On Jun 15, 2016 |
My understanding of this policy is that.. there will no longer be discrepancies in the value of the Naija against other currencies as before now we had the CNN rate and the black market rate. Now the rates will be unified and the forces of demand and supply will determine the pricing that us exchange rate. Why is this Good move? Like subsidy government have had to shore up the difference between the market price and the cbn rate which have had talking effect on our reserves. With the China deal in place and Nigeria settling her trade with yuan instead of the dollar as it is currently. The pressure on the naira will reduce and we should start seeing considerable Naira gain in not so long. It seems like policy wise we're on the right part. 1 Like |

zendy: Well I'm sure or rather certain AI has been Menton ng about abuse since the days of GEJ. It's not a Buhari or an APC thing it's we the Nigerians, how we handle power. But again how easy is it fight a guerilla warfare. And talking about Kanu it's simple he was releas d and rearrested on another charge. Logical I suppose. |

LoveMachine: My thoughts exactly. The wide spread abuse of blacks in America and the overzealous police activities. The daylight shootings. Yet they come here and run mouth. This is not to deny that we don't have our short comings as a country, but only we as a country can help us. Make AI hold them side . |
Politics / Re: Tompolo Boys Defy Buhari, Vows To Set Nigeria On Fire by bobbybash(m): 11:47pm On Feb 20, 2016 |
And what's the source op. Okay let's assume it's true. The unfortunate scenario will be that; the search intensifies, the militants react by blowing up pipelines. The government reacts by sending in more troops and deeper intelligence gathering (assuming this happens) the region becomes heated up. The military on tip off lead and assault against some porpoted pipeline vandals (arrest some kill some). The militants reacts the military counter react. Leads to insecurity in the region as the military take an offensive position. Killing more people "innocentees" (collateral damage) . maybe at the end of the day Tompolo runs seeks exile like the afores in another country with enough money to live 5 lives. Yet all these people have to die just so one man doesn't go to court. And even more is the adverse effect of the oil spills on the land which is one of the major agitation in this region already. Maybe "I do not make common sense" but I know common sense is not common. Even common entrance is only once a year. People in the SS, SE, SW have no idea how much has been lost to bokoharam by the NE people. Let's take a cue. 7 Likes 1 Share |

My dear If any of these people you say are ready to lose thier life for the struggle is taken through the Biafra war experience I can assure you there will be a change of heart. At the end just like Biafra the state will win. And please as I still don't understand can someone explain to me what marginalisation the igbos experience in Nigeria. Take a look at the Lagos state House of assembly and you see igbos in the house. Did the federal government not give ministerial nomination to the igbos. Please explain this marginalisation! Business / Solution To Naira Devaluation And Falling Crude Oil Prices by bobbybash(m): 11:40pm On Jan 12, 2016 |
In practical how can Nigeria's survive in the presence of falling crude oil prices, FX scarcity and the impending devaluation of the Naira. folks in a group chat I'm in have mentioned Diversification of the economy towards Agriculture and Mining, Stable and constant electricity supply to enhance industrialisation as well as accessible finance for SMEs. But I think that the major problem is our level of dependence on Import; which is hurting our balance of trade. what do you folks think is the way forward considering the factors above |
Politics / Should A SS/ SE Person Ever Rule Nigeria Again? by bobbybash(m): 3:14pm On Dec 20, 2015 |
I've being thinking on this subject matter for a while now. Before now it was acclaimed that Gen Babangida ran the most corrupt administration in the history of this country, but GEJ took him to the dust in my opinion. Babangida would think himself schooled. the different revelations popping out in the public domain on how public funds was mismanaged in recent times has got me wondering. GEJ's time as president is supposed to be the most prosperous times (OIL PRICE WISE) in the history of this COUNTRY with crude oil selling for most of his tenure at over $120/barrel still we ended up broke. I also understand that the First lady charged a token ($30,000) off any one that wanted to see the president. and even Alamieyeseigha was granted state pardon to show the level of impunity and abuse of power. So i'm thinking if its public knowledge that our people from the SS/SE would do anything for money should we give them another opportunity in the near future to rule again, KNOWING STEALING IS NOT CORRUPTION |

Spot on Soludo, you have raised pretty good points. I hope Nigerians will abandon being partisan and basically look at the issues raised. Definitely with the current economic out look it will be a difficult term for whoever of is that would be in the helm of affairs in the next dispensation we only hope that this time the lessons of economic diversification would have been learnt and never again will Nigeria be caught up in mono economy.
