Pls ooo, have any of us had issues with authenticating a laminated waec certificate at the foreign affairs ministry?
No issue, the officials will cut a little part of the lamination enough for the seal and signature.

Hello good evening..
I am new to this platform. I really need guidance in applying to schools in Germany.. I wanna study MSc In chemical engineering in English taught.. I heard that there are some places in Germany with low job opportunities and high racism. Please guys, could you direct me on the best cities with low racism and good job opportunities?
I would say all German States are economically OK.

However German States that make up Old West Germany are more sociable and better economic wise in comparison to German States that make up Old East Germany.

https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2019/11/06/east-germany-has-narrowed-economic-gap-with-west-germany-since-fall-of-communism-but-still-lags/

Find out German States that make up Old West Germany and apply to such places as priority.

But them no dae chop well, no strength for revolution.

Please guys, I saw that picture on my dashboard, does it means I will have to go to the highcourt to verify my credentials or book a separate appointment with the embassy for documents verification?.

If I'm to book with the embassy ,what link will I go through?
If it is stated that you need to do this at the German Embassy in your country then do so. If not, an high court notarization would suffice.

Best Regards smiley

Please is anyone applying to the university of law, Gisma business school or does anyone know anything about their application process.

I saw something on Certification of documents at the embassy for some schools
But Gisma has not requested me to do anything of that nature

Is it compulsory to certify all documents at the embassy or it depends on the school you are applying to.
It depends on the school.

so i called the german Embassy in abuja about the AD thing just now, i got a response that they have not resumed visa processing for students, i asked if I should cancel the former booking i made in april, he said i should and reapply again. its all really confusing though cause i don't know if the same thing applies to the Embassy in Lagos, i called those ones first but no good response, like the woman even forwarded my call and went mute.

maybe someone else should call them n lets be clear on this. +234 9 220 8010, that is d number i called.
Is there a choice of student visa application at the Abuja Embassy?

I thought only Lagos Embassy attends to students.

The only exception i found is Abuja Embassy attending to students is in the case of CAT A and that such person resides in Abuja.

Would could throw more light on the above? Thanks

For those that have received letters of presence, what did you do with it?

I have had the letter of presence with me for about 2 weeks now and no appointment date yet.

The contact form page does not allow for document upload.

Did any of you send it to the embassy by email?

If yes, what is the email of the Lagos embassy? rk-visa105@lago.diplo.de or info@lago.diplo.de ?

Has anyone who tried the above gotten any response yet?

Thanks

Hello hopefuls,
Can somebody please tell me where and how to get a certified copy of a document? I am being requested to produce that by a German university.
Thanks
If it is not stated that the said document should be certified/authenticated at the German Embassy then it suffices to use a high court for certification purposes.

I received a letter of presence recently for a Masters program in Bochum. Does anyone have an idea where (e.g email) the letter of presence is to be directed to.

The contact form and the appointment booking page does not have a place for the document upload.

Thanks.

I don’t think so...it doesn’t hurt to just request for a letter of presence from your school and get their feedback.

Hello,
Someone told me about Poland just last week.
I applied at Uni Wroclaw last week and I got AL yesterday. I have not done anything yet. Not even the certification of documents at MOE/MFA And they just gave me 4wks to pay the tuition. The embassy’s website says that they aren’t issuing visa atm and they don’t even know when they will resume. I don’t know where to start from. I’m in Lagos I’m so confused right now
Hello there! Congratulations. Could you please share how you went about paying the application fee?

Thank you Bobby.

But one thing again.

I don't understand what they want here. I attached screenshot. Could you help?
Since you've not previously enrolled at a German University, you should input 0. For number of years attended at a foreign university, this is the format: 4,0 (mine is 4 years) depending on the number of years you spent.

Hi all. I have just found the study opportunity in Poland as an alternative to Germany.

I checked some courses online in Poland already and most have their deadlines for ending of this month August 2020.

This is approximately 2 weeks before deadline.

From your experiences, if i started (from zero) with the application this week, can i still make it before the deadline?

Your responses are most appreciated.

Thanks.

Slamtos26:
Hi guys.
Please can Deutschlandstipendium be used as a means of financial resources for German student visa. Deutschlandstipendium is offered by the German government, giving students €300 per month.
I do not think so as €300 per month does not meet the expected expenditure for a student in Germany.

€300 per month can only cover for your accommodation expenses.

On average, a German student has expenses of EUR 819 per month. That includes rent, travel expenses, expenditures for food, clothing, learning materials, health insurance, telephone, Internet, radio and TV licence fees, and recreational activities. (Added to this is the semester contribution, which varies between higher education institutions.) International students usually have less money at their disposal than their German fellow students: on average, they can spend EUR 725 per month. If you have affordable accommodation and are careful with your money you will manage easily with this sum. - https://www.daad.de/en/study-and-research-in-germany/plan-your-studies/costs-of-education-and-living/

€10,236 / 12 = €853 per month. This using student block account. You should have an idea how they arrived at this from the link above.

@bobbybiggs, please, could you respond?
From these screenshots, it seems you are applying for a course in German? If not, its advisable you click on the english flag so the system can recognize you as an international applicant and your form is printed out in english. Also try clicking yes for if you've enrolled at a university before and see if it progresses from there.
Let me know if there is anything else.
