So these are the terms and conditions that Tinubu brokered.
Would Tinubu and Wike have accepted these terms and conditions when they were governors of their respective states?
If Sim is reappointing Wike's men who resigned on their own, he should have it at the back of his mind that their loyalty to Wike is paramount to them than working for him and the State |

Politics › I Will Appreciate It If Tinubu Offers Me Appointment – Daniel Bwala by Bobloco(op): 8:26am On Jan 15, 2024 |
Daniel Bwala, former spokesman for Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the February 2023 presidential election, has said he will accept any position that will enable him to support President Bola Tinubu’s agenda for Nigeria.
He made this known in an interview on Channels Television on Sunday.
Bwala, who recently met with President Tinubu and declared his support to work with the All Progressives Congress, APC, government, said he will accept any offer by the President because he promised to support his agenda.
“If the president makes an offer of a position that I see that it will contribute to the development of his agenda, I will accept it.
“I will more than anything else appreciate it. It is not the appointment that I’m looking for to support him. I’m telling you eight years I supported Buhari, I was not a public official.
“You have to separate between those who do not have value and are cringing and crying for appointment and those who believe the value and what they contribute has nothing to do with whether you are appointed or not.
“President Tinubu has not promised me anything,” he said. https://dailypost.ng/2024/01/15/i-will-appreciate-it-if-tinubu-offers-me-appointment-daniel-bwala/

Politics › Pantami Accuses Security Agencies Of Not Using NIN-SIM Policy To Track Criminals by Bobloco(op): 8:18am On Jan 15, 2024 |
A former Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Pantami, has accused the Nigerian Police Force and other security agencies of refusing to use the NIN-SIM policy to fight insecurity in the country.
Pantami, who was responding to a question from a social media user who wondered why so much money was spent on the policy and yet insecurity has remained unabated, said the application of the policy has been a major problem.
This was after the former minister disclosed that a friend of his had offered to pay N50 million of the N60 million ransom demanded by bandits who abducted Alhaji Mansoor Al-Kadriyar’s six children.
“NIN-SIM policy has been working. However, the relevant institutions fighting criminality are to be requested to ensure they utilise it effectively when a crime is committed,” Pantami wrote.
He stated: “Lack of utilising it is the main problem, not the policy. While in office, I know of three instances where the policy was utilised, and it led to the success of their operations.
On the lack of utilisation, I am more worried than anyone, as my life was threatened by criminals for reintroducing it, including on BBC Hausa and national dailies; I resisted and ensured its implementation.
“If it is not being utilised by the relevant institutions in charge of securing lives and property, then I am more frustrated than any person, as I sacrificed my life and ignored all the threats to life.
“This is just a point out of 100 on the policy. May the Almighty rescue all the kidnapped and bring absolute peace and stability to Nigeria, and may He (SWT) continue to guide our leaders and help them always in discharging their responsibilities.” https://dailypost.ng/2024/01/14/insecurity-pantami-accuses-security-agencies-of-not-using-nin-sim-policy-to-track-criminals/

emkz: Daniel Bwala ought to have stayed true to his convictions.
His answers yesterday were unconvincing and very painful. If he did not believe in Muslim-Muslim ticket then, why does he seem to accept it now?
In addition, he should be straight with people. You can't be in PDP and be supporting President Tinubu. Same applies to Wike, G5 and Olisah Metuh. If you want to support Tinubu, resign from PDP and become an independent critic or join the APC.
Atiku should also be fair to these guys. Abandoning them and staying in Dubai leaves them in a fix. Atiku has this bad habit of not keeping his core team Atiku is going no where this time around |

Foreign Affairs › 100 Days Of War On Gaza: Israel Kills 23,968 Palestinians by Bobloco(op): 6:51am On Jan 15, 2024 |
A total of 23,968 Palestinians have been killed and 60,582 injured by Israeli strikes on Gaza since October 7, the Palestinian health ministry in Gaza said in a statement as the war reached its 100th day, TRT World reports.
The Palestinian foreign ministry said in a statement that “the international community is, once again, failing to implement international resolutions related to the Palestinian cause”.
The ministry said that 100 days have passed “and the Israeli occupation has turned Gaza into an uninhabitable place, committed horrific crimes, and forcibly displaced approximately 2 million people”.
“Hundred days have passed and some countries are still unconvinced that the occupation’s massacres have eroded Israel’s ‘defence’ argument. These countries need to reassess their support for the war,” the ministry said.
Meanwhile, Israel’s overnight air and land raids in various regions of the Gaza Strip killed more than 100 Palestinians and injured many more, according to official Palestinian news agency Wafa, on Sunday.
“The bodies of 50 civilians were pulled out from the rubble following the bombardment of a three-storey residential building in the densely populated Al-Daraj neighborhood in the heart of Gaza City,” the news agency said.
The majority of those killed and injured were transported to Al-Shifa Medical Complex and Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in the city, it added.
In a separate attack, five Palestinians were killed, and ten others sustained injuries due to artillery shelling targeting the Sabra and Al-Zeitoun neighborhoods in the city, according to the Wafa news agency.
Israel’s artillery and navy also carried out attacks on the homes of Palestinians living in the Tal Al-Hawa and Sheikh Ajleen areas, southwest of Gaza City.
In Khan Younis, more than 30 Palestinians, including children and women, were killed in an Israeli bombing targeting their houses.
At least 23 people were killed in air strikes on two houses near the Egyptian border and on a vehicle carrying mostly displaced passengers.
The hunger and desperation are happening “despite all the warnings we gave about this tragedy”, the chief of the UN’s refugee agency tells Al Jazeera, describing the state of Palestinian children inside UNRWA-run shelters and schools.
“Whenever you go to a school, the kids are looking at your eyes begging for a sip of water from a loaf of bread,” said Philippe Lazzarini.
Meanwhile, the NetBlocks observatory says the more than 48-hour outage has left “most residents cut off” as the war in the enclave passes the 100-day mark. https://dailytrust.com/100-days-of-war-on-gaza-israel-kills-23968-palestinians/

DeLaRue: Let's all calm down and be considerate.
Why exactly should the Appeal court judges be sanctioned? For doing their job? We need to be fair to this people.
They considered the facts before them and the law, and a majority of them reached a decision.
Normally, the losing party can appeal to the Supreme Court.
It is the law that says they can't.
So the law is the problem, not the Appeal court judges. The judges are the problem here, not the law |

badoh: Sanctioned for what? So because Okoro was promoted as a supreme court justice, he believes he knows it all. Who told him he is more knowledgeable than the justices at the court of appeal? It is possible judges in court of appeal and supreme see cases in a different way, hence give different judgement. You can't be casting aspersions on the learned justices as if you have a functioning brain than them. You are ranting But it doesn't change the fact that those Appeal court justices should be sanctioned |
