kingthreat: Say this and that about Hope Uzodinma. But one thing I am sure of is that his sense of LOYALTY is second to none. He is 100% loyal to those that made him unlike Peter Obi with no sense of loyalty. Jumping from APGA to PDP and now LP within a space of 4 years. If every wife is loyal to their husbands like Uzodinma is loyal to APC, then the divorce rate in Nigeria will be lower than 5%.
P/S: Na just yarn I dey yarn. Freedom of expression is boldly outlined in the Nigerian constitution. Obidients, no put your frustration on me abeg. Have a blessed day. If not jumping from one party to another is what you are using to describe The supreme court governor as being loyal then you are wrong. Hope Uzodinma like most Nigerian politicians have also jumbed from one party to another in the cause of his political journey. He was in PDP prior to the 2003 general election but decamped to AD, contested on it platform and lost the gubernatorial election in Imo State, he returned to PDP in 2007 and secured the ticket to contest the Orlu senatorial zone election. He won and spent eight years in the senate then decamped to APC in 2019 where he contested and lost coming a distant fourth in the gubernatorial election only for the supreme court to impose him on Imo people as their governor |

Politics › Re: Orlu Zone Senate: This Is Not The Time For Experiment. ~dr Ezeafurukwe Paul by Bobloco: 11:51am On Aug 16, 2022 |
Comroguji: ORLU ZONE SENATE: THIS IS NOT THE TIME FOR EXPERIMENT.
~Dr Ezeafurukwe Paul Ihunanya
Sen. Osita Izunaso’s intention to represent the good people of Orlu Zone at the Senate in 2023 has been described as timely and a representation that will herald good tidings to the people of Orlu zone. This is as a result of Izunaso strongwill to position the zone into socio-economic height as opposed to the type of representation being witnessed in the zone currently.
The pedigree and antecedents of Izunaso most especially as it concerns politics has been proven overtime. His desire to become the Senator that will represent Orlu zone is borne out of passion, selfless service and burden that must be lifted only and when the people begins to enjoy the dividends of good representation. He has never been unwavering in his aspiration, he understands that the people must always come first before power as he sees power as another alternative towards achieving great things for his people. Hence, his philanthropic gestures under the Kpakpando Foundation which has been in existence since 2003 when he was in the House of Representatives and has been kept alive even when he was no longer in public office.
Kpakpando Foundation has brought hope and succor to so many people especially from Orlu zone from human capital development to empowerment down to people oriented projects. These achievements are verifiable and has earned him a place in the heart of the people even those outside the zone. His sojourn into the Senate from 2007-2011 recorded tremendous achievements for the zone and the entire nation and even till date the people are still yearning for his Senatorial representation which reflected in the primary election that saw to his emergence.
Distinguished Senator was one of the pillars of the coalition forces that wrestled power from ex Governor Okorocha. For this sacrifice Imo West and indeed the entire people of the state owe Izunaso a debt of gratitude.
In terms of real experience both in party administration, legislative sagacity and executive workings, Izunaso stands taller than his rivals. In terms of concrete achievements, touching lives and general acceptability, Izunaso clearly carries the day and there is no argument that Orlu Zone has seen the right man and needs not experiment.
A look at the socio-political landscape in Orlu zone today, the people should be aware that 2023 is not the time to gamble or experiment with candidates but look towards the way of Sen. Osita Izunaso as well as the APC and consider him on the basis of achievements, ranking, contact at the federal level and the overt possibility of getting a principal position for Orlu zone.
One of the strongest points going in favour of Izunaso is that this Senatorial project is the product of a people’s goodwill to a matured and dedicated servant. It is a people’s project. Just like what happened in 2007, the people are the propellers of the project. Both the leaders of communities in Orlu Zone and other stakeholders gathered and beckoned on Izunaso to go to the Senate and represent them once more. His support base cuts across party lines and by God’s grace and the people, he will emerge as the next Orlu Zone Senator.
There is so much expectations and so much responsibility. That explains why only an experienced and matured politician like Izunaso can do the job. It is not a job for bow tie wearing rookies or those who dance to the rhythm of folk songs during campaigns. Orlu has been so unfortunate with the type of people representating them at the senate starting from the late Authur Nzeribe, Osita Izunaso, the current governor down to the current occupier Rochas Okorocha They all have never attracted any single constituency project to the whole Orlu zone |

Education › We’ve No Business With Parents, They Should Beg FG – ASUU by Bobloco(op): 10:20am On Aug 15, 2022 |
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has said that the parents of the Nigerian students should beg the federal government to fulfil the promises it had with the Union so as to put an end to the ongoing six-month long strike.
ASUU said that the federal government is the employer of the universities’ lecturers and so it has no business with the parents.
This was disclosed by ASUU National President, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke in an interview with Vanguard on Saturday.
Osodeke said this to react to a statement by the Minister of Labour and Productivity, Festus Keyamo, when he said that parents should beg ASUU to call off the strike.
Six-month strike without headway
The lecturers of public universities have embarked on strike since February 14 and it entered its sixth month on August 14 as the demands are yet to be met by the government.
A number of meetings and committees were inaugurated to resolve the crisis but all to no avail.
President Muhammadu Buhari gave a two-week ultimatum to the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu to resolve the crisis but it has elapsed with no solution.
The President, on Friday, inaugurated another committee headed by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Pantami, to review Integrated Payroll and Personal Information System (IPPIS), the Treasury Single Account (TSA) and Government Integrated Financial Management System (GIFMIS) over irregularities.
The Union, however, has stated that the adoption of a transparent payment platform University Transparency and Accountability Solutions (UTAS) is critical to resolving the current strike action.
Parents are not our employers
When asked if the parents have made official pleas to the Union and if anything has been done recently, Osodeke said, “You should ask the government that. We have done what we should do as a Union. That question should be directed at the government. We have done one and they have not responded, we are not going to force them to respond. We have no relationship with the parents of Nigerian students. The parents are not our employers. So we have no relationship with them. They should beg the government instead.
“We are asking the federal government to fund its education appropriately. We’re simply asking the federal government to fund the education appropriately in line with the agreement, to fund the universities adequately in proportion to the budget of what other countries in the world are doing.”
N2.3 trillion accumulated funds
ASUU president said that the accumulation of funds the government should pump into its tertiary education is worth N2.3 trillion since 2013, and added that it has not spent up to N50 billion till date.
“And two, to respect the agreement it made with ASUU that it will put N2.3 trillion over six years into Nigerian universities as far back as 2013. So by now we’ve moved on and up till now they’ve not even given up to N50 billion since they’ve been in power,” Osodeke said.
Expectations from presidential candidates According to ASUU, Nigerians should watch and listen closely to the presidential candidates and vote for whoever has the interest of Nigerian education in mind.
“Nigerians should look at the candidate that will be willing to fund education, and that will have the interest of Nigerian students, and the interest of the Nigerian people, that’s the candidate Nigerians should look out for.
“And for us in ASUU, the difference is that we have not seen any of them that is willing to do anything? And even all the promises made by this regime and other regimes, did they implement them? Before they are elected they will say all sorts of things, but do they implement them? What did they tell Nigerians about the system? But all of them when they came to power everything changed,” he added.
Length of strike
When asked if the ongoing strike is the longest in recent time, and what should be done, the don said, “We are not interested in the length. In any way, the government wants to look at it, we are not keeping any record. We just want the government to go ahead and fulfil its promises. We are not interested in how long it is. Whether is the longest or not, what we want Nigerians to do is to tell this government to implement their agreement with ASUU.” https://www.vanguardngr.com/2022/08/weve-no-business-with-parents-they-should-beg-fg-ASUU-says-as-strike-hits-sixth-month/

It seems like the CPS has abandon his job of defending his principal to be attacking a presidential candidate of another party even when his principal Sanwo Olu is not a presidential candidate in the election
Because I don't understand why the chief press secretary to the Lagos State governor will be attacking Peter Obi calling him a liar when Peter Obi hasn't made any remark against his principal.
Sanwo Olu should as a matter of urgency sack his CPS before he cause more damage to the Lagos State government |
