Religion / Re: The Truth About Christ Embassy Healing School by bobokanis(m): 8:46am On Nov 11, 2008
@ poster.
I have another version of this healing school.
I have a clse friend who had spent hundreds of thousand of naira on his one ear old daughter who was had kidney problem at the National hospital Abuja.
After months of unending spendings with no improvement at the hospital, he decided to try the healing school of Christ Embassy.
At the healing school after a couple of weeks, the girl was ministered to by Pastor Chris and surprisingly she was healed.
This girl will be 3 yrs old soonest hale, strong and vibrant.
So what do you think about that?
This is not a story, I am a living witness.
You are right to some extent but you are somehow ignorant that your interpretation of faith is based on your feelings rather than what the Word of God teaches.
You are entitled to your opinion but all I know is that your motive for going to the healing school was basically wrong "so Pastor Chris could touch your sick folk!". Does he have to before healing comes?
Finally, if Pastor Chris is trully your role model, father and all those things you called him, I doubt you strongly if he is all these to you. You are definitely one of those who proclaim to be a member of BLW but is actually "completing the square".
To be continued

Why are you all saying we should invest such amount in Glo league in 9ja? Are you out of your mind?
Do you know how many gaping mouths will swallow the whole bucks? Common, if you are a business man and you have access to such amount of money, would you rather put it in EPL or NPL.

If this comes through, it will be great for the buyers.
Wish them the best

Topic: Draw Comfort From The Scriptures by Pastor Anita
Theme scripture:For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope (Romans 15:4)

It doesn't matter what you face in life, there's one place you can always draw comfort and strength- the Word of God.
If you ever feel the pressures of life coming against you, the question to ask yourself is "what does the Word say about this situation?",
Whatever it is you require an answer for, find out how God did it for someone in the Bible. It will greatly encourage your faith and position you rightly for your own miracle.

Topic: "True Beauty Is Of The Heart" by Pastor Anita
Theme scripture: Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price (1 Peter 3: 3-4)

Beauty has been mistaken for outward appearance and this is highly deceptive,
Every person can be beautiful. However true beauty is reflected from the heart,
There's no beauty that can overshadow that of a righteous heart, for it's only in such hearts that God can dwell.

Topic: All You Have Is All You Need! by Pastor Chris
Theme scripture: Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have, (Hebrews 13:5)

In the scripture above, the Lord didn't say "Be satisfied with whatever you have, be it little or much" as some folks believe. He wasn't preaching about materialism and the need for contentment in life. Though that's a good lesson to learn from our opening scripture, but there's something bigger in there!

Religion / Re: What Did Pastors See In Pretty Women? by bobokanis(m): 11:15am On Sep 02, 2008
Can you show me your wife or girlfriend's picture?
Are pretty women not humble, virtuous and Godly. O boy stop being hypocritical, face it you are simply jealous that they have more pretty women than what you have.
By the way, when you take good care of your wife, she looks pretty, so learn to polish your wife if you have any.
Religion / Re: Is It Biblical To Hate Muslims Especially Terrorists? by bobokanis(m): 11:11am On Sep 02, 2008
I have trully enjoyed all the various answers but am jolted at the manner some guys took on each other rather than give a constructive answers to the question. However, I think you lose more if you decide to hate though it can be very tough to look eyeball to eyeball with the guy that blew up your home and tell him you still love him, it only takes God's grace to do that.
But i plead with guys involved with this so called suicidal missions to stop the madness and embrace love for all humanity irrespective of background, tribe, colour or nation. God places very high value on the human life why should we waste it?

Religion / Re: Scandal: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome In South African Trouble! by bobokanis(m): 12:48pm On Apr 10, 2008
The newspaper made some king size erroneous statements:
[li]
He was recruited by one of the pastors and told he would be paid if he helped to draw crowds. “The pastor told me that they were looking for people to work for the church.
Is it not so stupid to bribe one man 10,000 rand so as to draw a crowd of over one million? Who is this pastor that offered to pay him? What has his wheelchair [/li]
[li]
The source also said that the people who are “healed” every time on stage are actually trained weeks before.
How can he be the only person to spill out this "secret" after so many other people had trained to act fake?[/li]
[li]
“Even children who are healthy are whisked around in wheelchairs. Some use crutches.
How easy is it to make even children act sick? Imagine you telling a 5 year old act paralyzed?[/li]
[li]
“I just told myself that using the word of God to lie to desperate people is immoral, so I refused to take up their offer,” said the source.
This guy seem to be very holy and honest man?[/li]
[li]
“I saw a lot of people in wheelchairs leaving the venue who had not been healed. It was very sad.
What of those that were healed? Jesus prayed for many that were not healed, check Mark 6: 1-6 [/li]
[li]
”Lerato Moeketsi told Sowetan she was a loyal follower of the church and was disappointed that she could not make it into the stadium. “I had to turn back because the stadium was full. “There was no way I could go through to receive his blessing,” she said.

Thousands of followers jostled for space at the stadium.
So the crowd still came despite this guy's refusal to collect the 10,000 rand bribe! What an irony.[/li]
[li]
The seriously ill, mostly disabled and in wheelchairs, went to the service in the hope of being healed by Pastor Chris’s powerful prayer. Another woman, Tshinanne Nemutudi, said she went to the all-night prayer service because she believed in Pastor Chris.
It is very glaring that this report is mixed with true and false reports.[/li]
Lets face the fact, this report is a bunch of lies and totally cooked up.

But Sani Lulu was elected not selected, what about the other members of the Board, are they all in the same shoe with him?

Can't they pass a vote of no confidence on the guy? it is very evident that they are all on the same side with Sani Lulu.

It is very unfortunate, we have a group of dummies in the driver seat of our football.

It is unspeakable to hear a minister can go to such extent of "touching" a fellow anointed man of God with his mouth (Ps 105: 14 - 15)
Ministers that speak against other ministers are never successful in Ministry cos God does not support such acts.
Negative criticism will only reduce the critic. angry

Jobs/Vacancies / Can Corruption Be Eliminated In The Nigerian Civil Service? by bobokanis(m): 12:40pm On Jan 08, 2008
Imagine a graduate that spent 7 years instead of 5years in the University being paid 40k per month? Can such person get an opportunity to swindle 1mill and will look away? lipsrsealed
This guy goes home with 700 naira as feeding allowance for a month? Give me a break, he will definitely steal if he gets the chance. I think the Federal Government has deceived Nigerians that after downsizing, the take home pay of Civil servants will greatly improve, rather it is appalling and unimaginable that the increase is as good as zero! What can we do about these leaders of ours?
Jokes Etc / Drunk Hubby by bobokanis(m): 11:30am On Dec 21, 2007
This guy got home one night well soaked; very drunk. Meanwhile he had a serious fight at the party he went.
He staggered into his room and was about hitting the sack when his wife angrily stopped him and shouted at him to go clean his wounds before coming to bed. Grudgingly he staggered to the bathroom only to emerge so moments later ready to sleep. The wife again told him to go put plasters on his wounds. The man turned and faced the large mirror in the room, holding a roll of plaster in one hand and scissors in the other, he started treating himself. Later He turned to the wife and said; " honey, i've done all you requested, can i now sleep please." The wife grinned and answered him, "Not after you have removed all the plasters on my mirror before coming to bed! grin grin grin
Jokes Etc / Expiry Date by bobokanis(m): 10:55am On Dec 21, 2007
It's all about a married couple.
After some years of being married, the wife noticed that the husband was always reading and going through their marriage certificate. Out of curiosity, the wife decided to ask the husband what he was up,
Wife: Dear, why are you looking so hard at our marriage certificate with so much concentration.
Husband: Am in search of something.
Wife: What?
Husband: It seems there was a mistake somewhere on this certificate.
(Wife now very frustrated)
Wife: What in heaven are you looking for?
Husband: They seem to have forgotten to put the expiry date!!! grin grin grin

Religion / Re: The Experience Is Here Again (Christ Embassy Programme) by bobokanis(m): 3:45pm On Nov 27, 2007
he Experience is not a Christ Embassy Programme. It is organised by The House on the Rock and Endorsed by A lot of Churches in Lagos but Christ Embassy is not one of them.
tongue You sound angry with Christ Embassy? I have the following questions for you
[li]Do you need the endorsement of other churches to do what God directed you to do?[/li]
[li]Is it necessary to get Christ Embassy's endorsement?[/li]
Leave Christ Embassy out of this. Organise your program, win souls, put smiles on peoples faces and most importantly make God proud of you. Do not wait for other people cos the dream to organise the program was given to you by God not man except it was not given by God!!!
Religion / Re: The National Stadium In Lagos And Hypocritical Christian Congregations by bobokanis(m): 2:01pm On Nov 27, 2007
You sound to be so bitter about crusades being held in the stadium. Anyway i agree with you that the place was originally meant for recreational purposes and sporting activities. I would not like to address you as someone with a good knowledge of the bible. As citizens of this great nation we are entitled to use any facility meant for the people as long as an agreement is reached with the officials of the facility. Furthermore, huge sum of money is paid before we can be allowed to use the facility, it has never been given free, in another words we generate revenue for the government. Note also that you addressed the wrong issue here: instead of correcting the dirty habit of Nigerians, you were only good at putting the blame on the Churches. Have you visited some parts of Lagos to see where and what they call Loos? bridges, rivers etc. No matter how many times you clean them toilets they keep misusing them. Finally, we know who we are, we can take anything we want at any time cos we have the biggest back up you can think of: Papa God! cool Anyway we have decided to grow bigger than stadia cos we found out they are too small for us now. We now purchase vast mass of land hundred times bigger than stadium
