Barakchi: Good afternoon! You know, I have recently become very disappointed in the education system. I studied my way through college, but I never found a job, even though I studied well. College gives a lot of unnecessary and irrelevant knowledge that now can only show your level of erudition, but not useful. So I came across a great website for developing roadmaps online. Took the course and got to work. Guess what? I have already started making good money. College is not the key to success. Tell us more about it. Thanks and God bless you |

makano: Hello bola
The sponsor simply showed total committment to the study and living expenses of the applicant, all through the applicant's stay in Canada..
The sponsor paid full school fees, transferred the full living expenses to the account of the applicant and some extra funds..
The sponsor drafted a Letter of sponsorship to explain all this with evidence and also an Affidavit of sponsorship... The sponsor had in the past sponsored the said applicant, so I advised the applicant what the sponsor needed to do and she listedned and got her Visa at the end of the day..
Mind you, they didnt do any of this in the previous refused application, they thought cos they had 50Million naira, the Visa officer should know there is plenty of money... Which is a very wrong assumption...
So to the Millionaires in the house, do not assume that the Visa Officer seeing millions in your account will automatically give you Visa cos you have money.. You must do a break down of the availability of the funds for your study and also total commitment to your studies all through your stay in Canada..
Like I always say, Its one thing to have Billions in your account, its another thing to show and convince the Visa Officer that the said Billions will be available and totally committed to your studies...
This is Canada study Visa Application and not UK study application..
Peace You really broke it down 100% Am saving for my sponsor asap |

makano: Hello olabisi
The way you peeps just suddenly decide on Judicial review seems to amaze me.. So cos you had a closing balance of 20m, it means you will get a study permit Visa?
Bro, it doesn't work that way.. .I work with applicants everyday , and I personally know of someone that had 50miilion naira closing balance and still got refused... Until when the applicant did the right thing in his re-application with a balance of 30million and got his Visa..
I have echoed it several times on this thread, it's one thing to have all the millions in the world,it's another thing to convince the Visa Officer that this funds will actually be commited and made available to you all through your stay in Canada, work on that in your next application and see your Visa waiting for you..
But if you wanna go for JR, it's your choice.. I am sure you have the millions to throw at it and also you will have the patience for the final outcome either positive or negative...
Meanwhile order for your GCMS notes to know the true concern of the Visa Officer..
JR isn't rice and beans, just to mention..
Peace Sir kindly explain what you mean Untill when the applicant did the right thing with the 30m |

Educational transcript or statement of result is not a requirement when applying for a Canada study permit. IRCC believes you already met the requirements to study that program when you get your unconditional letter of acceptance. If you feel like adding those documents when submitting your study permit application online , feel free to add them but just know that it is optional and not a must. What matters is that you have gotten an unconditional letter of acceptance into the designated learning institute (university or college) Pls after my HND I also did a professional course in marketing... Although i didn't finish it. Last month I went to their office to ask for my results...the results was bad ..d for all course. Would that help in anyway to admission. Thank you |

I understand that it takes time and practice to master writing, but your request is difficult because of plagiarism and everybody's story is different. I believe sample and tips are provided on the first page. You will have to message those offering paid or free SOP services if you need more. All the best. Thats so true I would check the first page and take note of everything i read over there. |

I am sorry, I can't remember the reason why you are particular about Manitoba province, but don't be rigid about the university or province. You will be surprised at the number of opportunities available out there. Some courses/program wouldn't require a GMAT or TOEFL.
Also, if there is a particular program you intend applying to and may seem you're not qualified for based on your current degree - then i will suggest you try Ontario Graduate Certificate Programs that can eventually make it easier for you to apply to your desired program in Manitoba. You can also use same to apply for your PR before your Masters.
All the best!
Thanks sir |

Raeinn: Hi guys I’m here to drop my details like i said I would and it’s going to be a long post. but before then i just want to encourage anyone at the verge of giving up. Please do not give up i beg you, hold God tight. I have been fasting 3 times a week for 8months since I submitted my application, i am not joking about this. I am a first time applicant, never travelled out of Nigeria before or anything. I will be 29 in August and I applied without having a job, so I didn’t even have any money to show in my personal bank account. And I didn’t add it. In March 2021, i applied to Holland College and University of Manitoba. I wasn’t properly informed before applying to these schools, i had a brief encounter with wokos travels because he handled my University of Manitoba application, but along the line my spirit was convinced to work with him so I disregarded the admission from University of Manitoba and that from Holland College, because it was a diploma and not a graduate diploma. I graduated in 2018 and i have a CGPA of 4.27 and i was eligible to apply for a master’s degree but the tuition i was seeing was too much and I wanted to change career path. So I decided to research and I found Niagara College, I applied for a PGD in April and i got my admission in the same month. I was introduced to an agent here in Abuja by a family friend in Canada. He told me the documents i needed for the visa application and i brought those available. My mum is my sponsor and she retired in 2018, so she doesn’t even have any tangible thing doing at the moment. My greatest worry about my application is the fact that i do not bear the same surname with my mum, i answer my dad’s middle name and that’s not the surname my mum answers, so i was scared because I’m saying she is my mum but we answer different surnames. That was my biggest fear , coupled with the fact that i am unemployed and my sponsor is retired as well. I wrote my SOP by myself and I tried to explain as best as i could. After I submitted my application. That was when my friend sent me nairaland link and i kept wishing i had seen this forum before applying. I kept comparing my documents with that of other people and I would cry most times because I didn’t have half of what they had submitted. I emailed numerous MPs one replied and seemed interested in helping me but after i sent my details to him in early December he stopped replying my emails. I emailed IRCC countless times and generic response was all i got and i was tired. I ordered for GCMS notes twice in sept and November 2021 and i never got any. i was going to apply for the 3rd one today because i was really frustrated. Thanks to @makano and @vivigogos they kept encouraging me and guiding me, I’ve never been so tired of waiting for something to happen in my life, But i kept praying and fasting and begging God to make it a miracle and he did. Today after my fasting, i came online and read a lady’s story where she said she got her approval today and our timelines are similar, i said a silent prayer and tapped into her story. I remembered she said she got a request to upload her new LOA and i kept wondering if she got the request on her timeline or via email so I decided to check mine just incase, I checked and it was still the same way it has been since May,2021. I logged out and I was about to step out when i got two emails barely 2 minutes after I logged out of my portal saying there is and update concerning my application and i went back and logged in. My testimony was waiting for me. There is nothing God cannot do, please do not give up and never stop praying.

mrprolifik: . The 2 colleges I know that don't allow study gaps of more than 5 years from Nigerians are Durham college and Algonquin college both in the Ontario province. You can try colleges like Conestoga college, Humber college , Niagara College . But to be 100% sure about other colleges or universities it is better to check their admission requirements or better still, send them an email to ask them if they accept study gaps before applying for admission online. It is better to email them first before applying so that you dont pay your application fee and then get a mail later that a study gap isn't accepted . NB: the application fee is usually non refundable Thanks very much Thats what i am doing now.. checking requirements and would also send them a mail. Thanks very mcuh 1 Like |

Hi Omoboriowo, Straight to the point - No Decision simply means the College hasn't decided yet.
The waiting period feels the longest and I know exactly how it feels.
Since you're currently working in the IT industry, then I think you're in the right direction.
However, your SOP must reflect how your current work experience has influenced your decision to pursue the program. Also, you've to link it to what you intend doing after the program (i cannot exhaust the points in this comment).
My advices - 1) Apply to more than one school (maybe a university and college) 2) If possible apply to programs that has a co-op/practicum 3) Prepare a strong graduate cv and sop
There's an Ontario based Educational Firm (email: contact@1grad.ca) that offers free services except if you need their assistance in statement of purpose and graduate cv write-ups.
Wishing you the best! I would love to apply to university of manitoba But I don't the the requirements Gmat Toefl |

Standard processing time for visa application is 3 months or longer, with the usual delay and time needed to prepare for your journey, it's advisable you go for September intake. Greeklinkweek: Hi Bola01234, You can consider some programs such as: MSc Supply Chain Management - University of Manitoba - September intake (colder province)
Masters of Management Logistics and Supply Chain Management - University of Windsor - September and January intake (laidback town)
International Business Management - Ontario College Graduate Certificate (1Year and can be used to apply for your Permanent Residency) - https://www.mohawkcollege.ca/programs/graduate-studies/international-business-management-116 (highly competitive province + opportunities)
However, there're other questions that would have guided me more appropriately .... such as When did you obtain your HND? Are you well prepared to write a convincing SOP (no excuses in your write-up, projecting your motivations, pitch your profile e.t.c.? Primary purpose of a graduate study (permanent residency-japa e.t.c.)
A friend of mine used an Educational Firm in Canada (email: contact@1grad.ca) and it was a positive experience. They actually offered all the process for free, except when he wanted someone in the firm to write his Statement of Purpose for him.
Most of my contributions are a mixed of the material shared from the firm and personal experiences too - (https://www.1grad.ca/post/5-major-considerations-for-selecting-the-right-master-s-degree-program-in-canada-2022)
