mployer: Most Uk trained Doctors can't even buy a house in 3yrs let alone a Nigerian trained Doctor.
He is a coded Yahoo boy Mumu spotted. Did you miss the part where he stated that he saved £500-£1000 every month? Now let's say he saved £500 every month for 3 years that is 18k. From what I see that house is not in London. So let's say the house cost 180k and paid 10% deposit and they multiply his annual income by 3 (as a doctor he is guaranteed 60k per annum) to be the equivalent of the mortgage. Tell me its not possible? A doctor in England can never be a yahoo boy |

My great GCL, GOCOVI, GCI all of these colleges are now rubbish. The road he built are nothing to write home about now. All these thieves have really messed up lagos. Otedola also did a good job as governor of lagos, Marwa also tried, Jakande Mr substandard. Of all the governors that ever governed Lagos this man still leads by miles shame on every governor from 1999. |

Jamersirwin1971: Good thoughts . 39 adults were going for greener pastures in the UK . So maybe somthing went wrong inbetween . I am Into haulaging of trucks which I manage lots where I am . With that truck I saw on BBC website there is no way the driver would hear screaming or banging . That’s a sealed refrigerated truck. When you see the interior of such trucks you would understand better . And the trucks are sealed and drivers don't break the seal until it gets to final destination. All they do is just drive from point A to B. He normal to charge him so he can convince the court that he only took over driving the truck from one point to another and he is not obliged to check content. A driver delivered parts to Perkins on getting there when the logistic officer broke the seal a lot of migrants from Afghanistan rushed out of the truck and was running around like headless chickens. Drivers are only guilty if the seal us broken |

7Alexandre: Nigerians & Dramas are like 5 & 6.
I usually attend their Owambe Parties on Saturdays & Sundays so I can be able to Eat Nigerian Food.
But I always stay clear of joining their Associations like Members Abroad Association & Brothers United Association because it always breeds envy, power tussle & in house fighting.
I also attend Redeemed Christian Church of God but tend to leave the church immediately after service. Keep it like that bro. Once you join their associations you won't integrate into the system and eat out of the big apple |

ajl: I left Nigeria as a student in a foreign land nearly 2 decades ago. There is a point in your life you get to that foreign passport will not matter to you. Maybe for ease of traveling from point A to point B without wasting time and money for Visa application. So that's actually reason I eventually got one because I always need to go for conferences here/there. Even if you leave Nigeria, don't fool yourself, their societies are not designed for you to thrive to the level of the natives. But if you just want to live your life as a normal 9-5 guy with no big dreams beyond your own selfish ambition (house, car, personal comfort, etc,) then you will be fine. You just have to learn and get use to "kissing" asses. Don't waste your time on uneducated literate people. This year alone I have been back home 5 times and Na people be the problem of Nigeria. |

Don't come to conclusion because of the illegal immigrants you know in the UK.
UK is far better than Canada and USA I can tell you that for free. From health care, transport system ,support for families, student loans buying a house and you can become very settled in one month of getting to the UK. What else do you want ? Oh to be spoon fed ? Well no other country will do that for you but UK will literally help you put the spoon in your mouth. |

HollySCH: I know how it feels to move from your beloved country, for whatever the reason, and settle in another country. I myself have moved to another country, and have spent so long here, I have got citizenship. Awesome I thought.
But then you start thinking about friends and family you have left behind. You become disconnected, not really knowing your true citizenship. It is a strange feeling. Did you not have a Nigerian passport before getting citizenship? I have lived abroad 2 decades now and have teenage kids but I still use my Nigerian passport even though I have been eligible for citizenship 15 years ago. |
Travel › Re: The Real Reasons Why Many Are Stuck Abroad by bolayei: 8:08am On Oct 02, 2019 |
36STATES: Your number two is so on point. When you begin to analyse the way average Nigerian reasons, you might be forgiven for thinking you are in a mad house.
To overcome this, don't go and live in the city when you are in Nigeria. Make sure you find yourself a place in your village, a bit away from most people. This was exactly what I did, and I enjoy Nigeria now. I moved about 400 metres away from everyone and built myself a house with a very tall fence around it. Many people only know I am around when they see my car pass.
If you have been overseas for over 19 years like me including the academic accomplishment, it is very difficult for you to find people that think like you who live in Nigeria. Very valid point. Nigeria itself is not the problem of a returnee, its Nigerians themselves because someone that have lived abroad for long can live a very simple life but as soon as a Nigerian trader, Uber/taxify driver find out you live abroad they try to extort you. The mentality of an average Nigerian too is not what a returnee is used to. so how do you start a business without involving a Nigerian resident? It is Nigeria residents that breaks ordinary civil laws like littering and making the place dirty. Its Nigeria residents that will cross the roads even though there is pedestrian bridges. It's Nigeria residents that won't use the walk way but walk in the middle of the road. Its Nigeria residents that expect you to budget for them when coming back with all the wetin you bring come instead of them being a host you becoming the host. It's Nigeria residents that vote in old clueless men that grew up in villages without civilised education or exposure. A Nigerian abroad can start a business in Nigeria with only 2 million Naira but Nigeria residents will make it impossible to achieve with all the extortions. I have visited Nigeria 4 times this year and this is my personal experience. |

Oga saint, alcohol is not sin but too much of it can lead to sin. Not all of us check bible verses but I know the part where Jesus said if your right arm cause you to sin cut it off does that mean to cut it of because it can cause you to sin?
Noah and his family were spared because he believed in God but the same Noah got drunk and was dancing naked when his son saw him.
In the 80s Pastor Kumuyi asked deeper lifers not to own TVs because it can lead to immorality and sin does not mean owning a TV is sin. |
