Business › Re: Diversion Of Diaspora Remittances To Black Market Weakens Naira - CBN by BoldBrainz(m): 4:34pm On Aug 11, 2023
Shonubi has been talking nonsense for about a week now!!

To the best of my knowledge, there is no medium of remittance from the Diaspora that is outside the various operating windows run by banks and financial institutions.

There's no way you can lay hands on dollars sent to you from a sibling abroad, if you don't walk into a banking hall. All the flutterwave, Remitta, etc.., run transactions across borders, yes. But they basically deal with numbers, where you stand to receive alerts into your Nigerian accounts or domiciliary accounts, as the case may be. But there is no channel that hands over paper currency to an individual as proceeds from diaspora remittance, if not banks and other money houses.

So what's this load of garbage this clown is vomitting?!

This is very commendable. Well done Edo state Government.

It's interesting to note that the most prominent traditional ruler in the whole Edo state and perhaps the whole South South of Nigeria, apart from the Itsekiri in Delta, is the one instituted by a Yoruba Ile-Ife Prince, Oranmiyan, in Benin.

Only the Benin royalty is Yoruba. If you are not from the Benin royalty, you are not Yoruba but subject to the royalty of the Oranmiyan descendants in Benin.

We are proud of the blossomed Yoruba royalty roots in the South South today. Oodua a gbe yin o.
Do you ever see the need to comment on a thread without subtly measuring dicks between Yorubas and other Southern tribes? What is even your problem?

Tinubu wasn't actually joking when he said he'll recruit 50million youths into the Army and feed them cassava and yam. He just failed to add that the army was meant to drive his internet propaganda machinery.

Seriously though, when you hear certain names from Lagos, Bayelsa, Cross River and Port Harcourt, it's just very easy to know they were named as slaves by Colonialists. Ancestors of these people were so mentally oppressed that they failed to pass on history to their successive generations. So the families simply grew with names given to them by Western Colonial entities. I have a friend from Bayelsa whose name is Jimmy Bornford. Like, what the actual fvck is "Bornford" supposed to mean grin?!

Just imagining myself letting my heritage die with me and failing to pass it on to my future generations huh!

Grit2943:
I know one of the reasons why CBN PAT is low is due to a huge part of their income been expended on expenditures.
CBN's overhead expenditures is one of the highest amongst institutions in this country. Yet the same bank woke up and saw the need to waste billions of naira on a useless "currency recolouration" policy, in the same year it was running on deficits.

Why.. huh??
Business › Re: CBN Releases Financials Of Seven Years Amid Investigation by BoldBrainz(m): 12:52pm On Aug 11, 2023
Grit2943:
Profit after tax for some banks in Nigeria for the year ended 2022

N129. 4bn- First Bank
NGN223.9bn - Zenith
N170.3bn- UBA
N169.2bn- GTB
N152. 20bn- Access

It is shameful that CBN is declaring N103.8bn as PAT
The abysmal PAT is not even the problem at this point.

It is the fact the CBN is owing way more than the profits it declared. Simply put, the apex bank has a deficit balance sheet, if those debts should be settled outright. Just like NNPC in 2022, the CBN equally conducted useless businesses that fetched no profits whatsoever, yet succeeded in incurring debts.. huh!
Politics › Re: Emerging Facts: North Will Eventually Cry Blood Over Tinubu by BoldBrainz(m): 12:43pm On Aug 11, 2023
Lol.

OP, 95percent of your narrative is based purely on hearsay and conspiracy theories. I don't like Tinubu and everything he embodies as a politician, but this is a low, even for the most ardent Obidients.

- Ganduje's initial travails have absolutely nothing to do with Tinubu. He made some unlikely enemies during his governorship tenure and those aggrieved minds sought to ruin his prospects in this administration.

- El-rufai has the worst cases of human rights abuse amongst all Nigerian governors within the last 10years. Concerned Nigerians simply bared their fangs, wanting a pound of flesh. I can agree that Tinubu could have prevented the issues from getting complicated at the National Assembly, but it's possible he opted not to, seeing that as a rare opportunity to have Rufai out of his inner cabinet, cause that man is the direct descendant of the same biblical snake that gave Eve the apple.

- Fuel subsidy removal was a National necessity. It wasn't done to spite any region. The fact the North buys fuel slightly higher than the South, is purely down to transportation costs incurred while moving those products from depots in the South, up North.

- Tinubu's insistence to invade Niger republic is geared to assert his authority and legitimacy, as well as to please the Western Imperialists in whose hands he's always relied heavily, and not to spite the North. If the North gets hurt in the process, it is purely collateral damage.

- And there are no Tinubu supporters calling out Buhari or openly criticising his abysmal performance while in Governance. If you find Yoruba names castigating Buhari, those are the ones who are not equally inclined towards Tinubu and didn't vote for him either.
